|
1 BE therefore God-like, as beloved chil dren. |
|
2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet example. |
|
3 But let not immorality or any uncleanness or covetousness be heard of among you, as becomes saints; |
|
4 Neither cursing, nor foolish words, nor insults, nor words of flattery, none of which are necessary: but instead of these, let thanks be offered. |
|
5 You should know this: that no one guilty of fornication, or unclean person, or covetous man who serves idols, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. |
|
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things the anger of God comes on the children of disobedience. |
|
7 Therefore do not be partakers with them. |
|
8 For previously you were ignorant, but now you have been enlightened by our LORD, and should live therefore like children of light. |
|
9 For the fruits of light are found in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth; |
|
10 And so you must discern that which is acceptable before our LORD. |
|
11 Have no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather condemn them. |
|
12 For it is a shame even to speak of the things that are done by them in secret. |
|
13 For all things that are condemned are exposed by the light: and anything that is made manifest is light. |
|
14 Therefore it is said: Awake thou that sleepest, and rise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. |
|
15 Watch therefore, that you live a glorious life, not as foolish men, but as wise men, |
|
16 Who take advantage of their opportunity, for these are difficult days. |
|
17 Wherefore do not lack wisdom, but understand what the will of God is. |
|
18 And do not become drunk with wine, wherein is intemperance; but be filled with the Spirit, |
|
19 Speaking to your souls in psalms and hymns, and in spiritual songs, sing with your heart to the LORD; |
|
20 Giving thanks always for all men to God the Father in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ. |
|
21 Submit yourselves one to another in the love of Christ. |
|
22 Wives submit yourselves to your husbands as to our LORD. |
|
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of its body. |
|
24 Therefore as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. |
|
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved his church, and gave himself for it; |
|
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it, by the washing of water and by the word, |
|
27 In order to build for himself a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. |
|
28 So should men love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. |
|
29 For no man ever yet hated his own body; but nourishes it and cherishes it, even as Christ does for his church. |
|
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. |
|
31 For this reason shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. |
|
32 This is a great mystery; but I speak concerning Christ and his church. |
|
33 Nevertheless, let every one of you so love his wife as himself, and the wife see that she reverence her husband. |

|
2 і поводьтеся в любові, як і Христос полюбив вас, і видав за нас Само́го Себе, як дар і жертву Богові на приємні па́хощі. |
|
3 А розпуста та не́чисть усяка й заже́рливість нехай навіть не згадуються поміж вами, як ли́чить святим, |
|
4 і гидо́та, і марносло́вство або жарти, що непристойні вам, але краще дя́кування. |
|
5 Знайте бо це, що жоден розпу́сник, чи нечистий, або заже́рливий, що він ідоля́нин, не має спа́дку в Христовому й Божому Царстві! |
|
6 Нехай вас не зво́дить ніхто словами марно́тними, бо гнів Божий приходить за них на неслухня́них, — |
|
7 тож не будьте їм спільниками ! |
|
8 Ви бо були колись те́мрявою, тепер же ви світло в Господі, — поводьтеся, як діти світла, |
|
9 бо плід світла знахо́диться в кожній добрості́, і праведності, і правді. |
|
10 Допевня́йтеся, що приємне для Господа, |
|
11 і не беріть участи в неплідних ділах те́мряви, а краще й докоряйте. |
|
12 Бо соромно навіть казати про те, що роблять вони потає́мно! |
|
13 Усе ж те, що світлом докоряється, стає явне, бо все, що явне стає, то світло. |
|
14 Через це то й говорить: „Сплячий, вставай, і воскре́сни із мертвих, — і Христос осві́тлить тебе!“ |
|
15 |
|
16 використо́вуючи час, — дні бо лукаві! |
|
17 Через це не будьте нерозумні, але розумійте, що́ є воля Господня. |
|
18 І не впивайтесь вином, в якому розпуста, але краще напо́внюйтесь Духом, |
|
19 розмовляючи поміж собою псалма́ми, і гі́мнами, і пісня́ми духовними, співаючи й граючи в серці своєму для Господа, |
|
20 дякуючи за́вжди за все Богові й Отцеві в Ім'я́ Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, |
|
21 ко́рячися один о́дному у Христовім страху́. |
|
22 |
|
23 бо чоловік — голова дружи́ни, як і Христос — Голова Церкви, Сам Спаситель тіла! |
|
24 І як ко́риться Церква Христові, так і дружи́ни своїм чоловікам у всьо́му. |
|
25 Чоловіки, — любіть своїх дружи́н, як і Христос полюбив Церкву, і віддав за неї Себе, |
|
26 щоб її освятити, очистивши водяним ку́пелем у слові, |
|
27 щоб поставити її Собі славною Церквою, що не має плями чи вади, чи чогось такого, але щоб була́ свята й непорочна! |
|
28 Чоловіки повинні любити дружи́н своїх так, як власні тіла, бо хто любить дружи́ну свою, той любить самого себе. |
|
29 Бо ніко́ли ніхто не знена́видів власного тіла, а годує та гріє його, як і Христос Церкву, |
|
30 бо ми — члени Тіла Його від тіла Його й від косте́й Його! |
|
31 „Покине тому́ чоловік батька й матір, і пристане до дружи́ни своєї, — і бу́дуть обоє вони одним тілом“. |
|
32 Ця таємниця велика, — а я говорю́ про Христа та про Церкву! |
|
33 Отже, нехай кожен зокре́ма із вас любить так свою дружи́ну, як самого себе, а дружи́на нехай боїться свого чоловіка! |

4 і гидо́та, і марносло́вство або жарти, що непристойні вам, але краще дя́кування. |

13 Усе ж те, що світлом докоряється, стає явне, бо все, що явне стає, то світло. |

14 Через це то й говорить: „Сплячий, вставай, і воскре́сни із мертвих, — і Христос осві́тлить тебе!“ |
|

19 розмовляючи поміж собою псалма́ми, і гі́мнами, і пісня́ми духовними, співаючи й граючи в серці своєму для Господа, |

20 дякуючи за́вжди за все Богові й Отцеві в Ім'я́ Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, |
|
21 Submit yourselves one to another in the love of Christ. |
21 ко́рячися один о́дному у Христовім страху́. |
|
22 Wives submit yourselves to your husbands as to our LORD. |

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved his church, and gave himself for it; |
25 Чоловіки, — любіть своїх дружи́н, як і Христос полюбив Церкву, і віддав за неї Себе, |
|
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it, by the washing of water and by the word, |
26 щоб її освятити, очистивши водяним ку́пелем у слові, |
|
27 In order to build for himself a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. |
27 щоб поставити її Собі славною Церквою, що не має плями чи вади, чи чогось такого, але щоб була́ свята й непорочна! |
|
28 So should men love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. |
28 Чоловіки повинні любити дружи́н своїх так, як власні тіла, бо хто любить дружи́ну свою, той любить самого себе. |
|

29 Бо ніко́ли ніхто не знена́видів власного тіла, а годує та гріє його, як і Христос Церкву, |
