|
1 AND he has quickened you also who were dead because of your sins and trespasses; |
|
2 In which you previously walked according to the worldly course of this world, and according to the will of the supreme ruler of the air, the spirit which is active in the children of disobedience. |
|
3 In those very deeds in which we were also corrupted from the very beginning through the lusts of the flesh, fulfilling the wills of the flesh and of the mind: thereby we became completely the children of wrath, even as others. |
|
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, |
|
5 Even when we were dead in our sins, has made us live together with Christ, by whose grace we are saved; |
|
6 And he has raised us up with him, and seated us with him in heaven, through Jesus Christ. |
|
7 In the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Jesus Christ. |
|
8 For it is by grace that you are saved through faith; not of your doing: it is the gift of God: |
|
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. |
|
10 For we are his creation, created through Jesus Christ ultimately for good works, which God has before ordained that we should live in them. |
|
11 Wherefore remember that you were Gentiles in the flesh from the beginning, and you were called Uncircumcision, differing from that which is called Circumcision, which is the work of the hands in the flesh. |
|
12 At that time you were without Christ, being aliens to the customs of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, without hope, and without God in the world. |
|
13 But now, through Jesus Christ, you who sometimes were far off are brought near by the blood of Christ. |
|
14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the fence of separation between them; |
|
15 And he has abolished by his precious body, the enmity between them, and he has abolished by his commandments, the ordinances of the law, that he may create, in his person, from the two, a new man, thus making peace; |
|
16 And he reconciled both in one body with God, and with his cross he destroyed the enmity: |
|
17 And he came and preached peace to you who are far away and to those who are near. |
|
18 Through him we both are able to draw near by one Spirit to the Father. |
|
19 Thus from henceforth you are neither strangers, nor foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and children of the household of God; |
|
20 And you are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the corner-stone of the building: |
|
21 And through him the whole building is fashioned and grows into a holy temple through the help of the LORD: |
|
22 You also are builded by him for a habitation of God through the Spirit. |

2 в которых пребывали ранее. Вы следовали путями мирскими и повиновались князю злых сил, обитающих над землёй, духу, действующему сейчас в тех, кто непослушен Богу. |
|
3 В прошлом мы жили так же, как и те люди, потакая потребностям своей греховной природы и следуя греховным желаниям и мыслям. Как и все остальные в мире, мы были обречены испытать на себе гнев Божий. |
|
4 Но Бог щедр в Своём милосердии и возлюбил нас великой любовью. |
|
5 Когда мы были духовно мертвы из-за своих грехов, совершённых против Бога, Он даровал нам жизнь вместе с Христом. Вы обрели спасение благодаря Божьей благодати. |
|
6 Нас, кто во Христе Иисусе, Он воскресил к жизни вместе с Христом и посадил вместе с Ним на престоле в небесных владениях. |
|
7 Бог явил нам, тем, кто принадлежит Иисусу Христу, несравнимую полноту Своей доброты и благодати на все времена. |
|
8 Вы уверовали и поэтому были спасены благодаря вашей вере. Не своими силами вы обрели спасение. Ваше спасение — дар Божий, |
|
9 а не вознаграждение за труды, так что никто не может хвалиться собой. |
|
10 Бог сотворил нас такими, какие мы есть. Он создал нас новыми людьми во Христе Иисусе для того, чтобы мы могли посвятить нашу жизнь совершению добрых дел, которые Бог предопределил для нас заранее. |

|
13 Теперь же во Христе Иисусе, вы, когда-то бывшие далеко от Бога, были приближены к Нему через кровную жертву Христа. |
|

|
15 |
|
16 и через Свою смерть на кресте объединить оба народа перед Богом в едином теле, и уничтожить враждебность. |
|
17 Тогда Он пришёл и стал проповедовать мир вам, тем, кто был далёк, и тем, кто был близок, |
|
18 потому что через Него мы соединились с Отцом в одном Духе. |
|
19 И, следовательно, вы, неевреи, более не чужие и не посторонние. Напротив, вы сограждане со святыми людьми Божьими. |
|
20 Вы строите на основании, которое держится на апостолах и пророках, а Иисус Христос является краеугольным камнем этого основания. |
|
21 Он поддерживает Собой всё это строение, и оно растёт, чтобы стать святым храмом Господа. |
|
22 Через Него и вы вместе с остальными созидаете себя, образуя жилище, где Бог будет жить через Святого Духа. |
