Chapter 30

1 THE word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 Thus says the LORD God of Israel: Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.

3 For behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will bring back the captives of my people Israel and Judah, says the LORD; and I will bring them back to the land which I gave to their fathers and they shall possess it.

4 And these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

5 Thus says the LORD: We have heard a sound of trembling and of fear; and there is no peace.

6 Ask now and see: Can a male bear a child? Wherefore do I observe every man with his hands on his loins, like a woman in travail, and all faces turned into paleness?

7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it; it is a time of distress for Jacob; but he shall be saved out of it.

8 For it shall come to pass in that day, says the LORD of hosts, that I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon from off your neck, and I will cut off your bonds, and strangers shall no more enslave them;

9 But they shall serve the LORD their God and David their king whom I will raise up for them.

10 Therefore fear not, O my servant Jacob, says the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel; for, lo, I will save you from afar and your offspring from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall hurt him.

11 Fear not, O my servant Jacob, says the LORD, for I am with you to save you, says the LORD; for I will make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered you, yet I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you justly, and will not declare you innocent.

12 For thus says the LORD: Your wound is grievous, and your affliction is severe.

13 There is none to plead your cause or to succor you and heal you.

14 All your friends have forgotten you; they seek your life; for I have smitten you with the wound of an enemy, with a severe chastisement because of the multitude of your iniquities, and because your sins were increased and you would not repent.

15 Why do you lament over your wound? Your wound is painful because of the multitude of your iniquities; and because your sins were increased, I have done these things to you.

16 Therefore, all who devour you shall be devoured; and all your enemies, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and those who trample over you shall be trampled over, and all those who plunder you I will give for a prey.

17 For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the LORD; because they have called you an outcast, saying, This is Zion who had no avenger.

18 Thus says the LORD: Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and I will do to him as of old, and have mercy on his dwelling places; the city shall be built upon its own hill, and the temple shall be established after the former manner thereof.

19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who sing; and I will multiply them, and they shall not decrease; I will also make them mighty, and they shall not be weak.

20 Their children also shall be as of old, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all who oppress them.

21 And their king shall be one of themselves, and their governors shall come forth from among themselves; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach to me; for I will turn his heart towards me, says the LORD.

22 And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.

23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goes forth with fury, a tornado; it shall rest upon the head of the wicked.

24 The fierce anger of the LORD will not turn back until he has executed his orders and until he has performed the intents of his heart; in the latter days you shall understand this.

3 Ибо вот, наступают935 дни,3117 говорит5002 Господь,3068 когда Я возвращу7725 из плена7622 народ5971 Мой, Израиля3478 и Иуду,3063 говорит559 Господь;3068 и приведу7725 их опять7725 в ту землю,776 которую дал5414 отцам1 их, и они будут3423 владеть3423 ею.

4 И вот те слова,1697 которые сказал1696 Господь3068 об Израиле3478 и Иуде.3063

5 Так сказал559 Господь:3068 голос6963 смятения2731 и ужаса6343 слышим8085 мы, а не мира.7965

6 Спросите7592 и рассудите:7200 рождает3205 ли мужчина?2145 Почему же Я вижу7200 у каждого мужчины1397 руки3027 на чреслах2504 его, как у женщины в родах,3205 и лица6440 у всех бледные?20153420

7 О, горе!1945 велик1419 тот день,3117 не369 было подобного369 ему; это — бедственное6869 время6256 для Иакова,3290 но он будет3467 спасен3467 от него.

8 И будет в тот день,3117 говорит5002 Господь3068 Саваоф:6635 сокрушу7665 ярмо5923 его, которое на вые6677 твоей, и узы4147 твои разорву;5423 и не будут5647 уже служить5647 чужеземцам,2114

9 но будут5647 служить5647 Господу3068 Богу430 своему и Давиду,1732 царю4428 своему, которого Я восстановлю6965 им.

10 И ты, раб5650 Мой Иаков,3290 не бойся,3372 говорит5002 Господь,3068 и не страшись,2865 Израиль;3478 ибо вот, Я спасу3467 тебя из далекой7350 страны и племя2233 твое из земли776 пленения7628 их; и возвратится7725 Иаков3290 и будет8252 жить8252 спокойно8252 и мирно,7599 и никто не будет2729 устрашать2729 его,

11 ибо Я с тобою, говорит5002 Господь,3068 чтобы спасать3467 тебя: Я совершенно истреблю62133617 все народы,1471 среди которых рассеял6327 тебя, а тебя не истреблю;62133617 Я буду3256 наказывать3256 тебя в мере,4941 но ненаказанным5352 не оставлю5352 тебя.

12 Ибо так говорит559 Господь:3068 рана7667 твоя неисцельна,605 язва4347 твоя жестока;2470

13 никто не заботится1777 о деле1779 твоем, чтобы заживить4205 рану4205 твою; целебного8585 врачевства7499 нет для тебя;

14 все друзья157 твои забыли7911 тебя, не ищут1875 тебя; ибо Я поразил5221 тебя ударами4347 неприятельскими,341 жестоким394 наказанием4148 за множество7230 беззаконий5771 твоих, потому что грехи2403 твои умножились.6105

15 Что вопиешь2199 ты о ранах7667 твоих, о жестокости4341 болезни605 твоей? по множеству7230 беззаконий5771 твоих Я сделал6213 тебе это, потому что грехи2403 твои умножились.6105

16 Но все пожирающие398 тебя будут398 пожраны;398 и все враги6862 твои, все сами пойдут3212 в плен,7628 и опустошители76018154 твои будут опустошены,4933 и всех грабителей962 твоих предам5414 грабежу.957

17 Я обложу5927 тебя пластырем724 и исцелю7495 тебя от ран4347 твоих, говорит5002 Господь.3068 Тебя называли7121 отверженным,5080 говоря: «вот Сион,6726 о котором никто не спрашивает»;1875

18 так говорит559 Господь:3068 вот, возвращу7725 плен7622 шатров168 Иакова3290 и селения4908 его помилую;7355 и город5892 опять1129 будет1129 построен1129 на холме8510 своем, и храм759 устроится3427 по-прежнему.4941

19 И вознесутся3318 из них благодарение8426 и голос6963 веселящихся;7832 и Я умножу7235 их, и не будут4591 умаляться,4591 и прославлю3513 их, и не будут6819 унижены.6819

20 И сыновья1121 его будут, как прежде,6924 и сонм5712 его будет3559 предстоять3559 предо3942 Мною, и накажу6485 всех притеснителей3905 его.

21 И будет вождь117 его из него самого, и владыка4910 его произойдет3318 из среды7130 его; и Я приближу7126 его, и он приступит5066 ко Мне; ибо кто отважится6148 сам3820 собою приблизиться5066 ко Мне? говорит5002 Господь.3068

22 И вы будете Моим народом,5971 и Я буду вам Богом.430

23 Вот, яростный2534 вихрь5591 идет3318 от Господа,3068 вихрь5591 грозный;1641 он падет2342 на голову7218 нечестивых.7563

24 Пламенный2740 гнев639 Господа3068 не отвратится,7725 доколе Он не совершит6213 и не выполнит6965 намерений4209 сердца3820 Своего. В последние319 дни3117 уразумеете995 это.

1 THE word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 Thus says the LORD God of Israel: Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.

7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it; it is a time of distress for Jacob; but he shall be saved out of it.

9 But they shall serve the LORD their God and David their king whom I will raise up for them.

10 Therefore fear not, O my servant Jacob, says the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel; for, lo, I will save you from afar and your offspring from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall hurt him.
