Chapter 19

1 THUS said the LORD to me, Go and buy a potters earthen jug, and take with you some of the elders of the people and some of the elderly priests;

2 And go out to the valley of the son of Hinnom which is by the entrance of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell you,

3 And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, such that whosoever hears of it his ears shall tingle.

4 Because they have forsaken me and have polluted this place and have burned incense in it to other gods whom neither they nor their fathers nor the kings of Judah have known; and have filled this place with the blood of the innocents;

5 They have built also the high places of Baal to burn their sons with fire as burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command; nor did I speak of it, neither came it into my mind;

6 Therefore, behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when this place shall no more be called Taphat, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter.

7 And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies and by the hand of those who seek their lives; and their corpses will I give as food for the fowls of the air and for the wild beasts of the earth.

8 And I will make this city desolate and a hissing; so that every one who passes by it shall be horrified and hiss because of all its catastrophes.

9 And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his neighbors in the siege and in the affliction with which their enemies and those who seek their lives shall inflict upon them.

10 Then you shall break a pot in the sight of the men who go with you,

11 And say to them, Thus says the LORD of hosts: Even so will I break this people and this city, as this potter's vessel is broken, so that it cannot be mended again; and they shall bury the dead in Taphat because of the lack of burial space.

12 Thus will I do to this place and to its inhabitants, says the LORD, and even make this city like Taphat;

13 And the houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah shall be defiled like the place of Taphat; and likewise all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense to all the host of heaven and have poured out drink offerings to other gods.

14 Then Jeremiah came from Taphat, where the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD'S house, and said to all the people,

15 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all its towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks that they might not hear my words.

2 и выйди3318 в долину1516 сыновей1121 Енномовых,2011 которая у ворот66078179 Харшиф,2777 и провозгласи7121 там слова,1697 которые скажу1696 тебе,

3 и скажи:559 слушайте8085 слово1697 Господне,3068 цари4428 Иудейские3063 и жители3427 Иерусалима!3389 так говорит559 Господь3068 Саваоф,6635 Бог430 Израилев:3478 вот, Я наведу935 бедствие7451 на место4725 сие, — о котором кто услышит,8085 у того зазвенит6750 в ушах,241

4 за то, что они оставили5800 Меня и чужим5234 сделали5234 место4725 сие и кадят6999 на нем иным312 богам,430 которых не знали3045 ни они, ни отцы1 их, ни цари4428 Иудейские;3063 наполнили4390 место4725 сие кровью1818 невинных5355

5 и устроили1129 высоты1116 Ваалу,1168 чтобы сожигать8313 сыновей1121 своих огнем784 во всесожжение5930 Ваалу,1168 чего Я не повелевал6680 и не говорил,1696 и что на мысль3820 не приходило5927 Мне;

6 за то вот, приходят935 дни,3117 говорит5002 Господь,3068 когда место4725 сие не будет более называться7121 Тофетом8612 или долиною1516 сыновей1121 Енномовых,2011 но долиною1516 убиения.2028

7 И уничтожу1238 совет6098 Иуды3063 и Иерусалима3389 на месте4725 сем и сражу5307 их мечом2719 пред3942 лицем3942 врагов341 их и рукою3027 ищущих1245 души5315 их, и отдам5414 трупы5038 их в пищу3978 птицам5775 небесным8064 и зверям929 земным.776

8 И сделаю7760 город5892 сей ужасом8047 и посмеянием;8322 каждый, проходящий5674 через него, изумится8074 и посвищет,8319 смотря на все язвы4347 его.

9 И накормлю398 их плотью1320 сыновей1121 их и плотью1320 дочерей1323 их; и будет398 каждый376 есть398 плоть1320 своего ближнего,7453 находясь в осаде4692 и тесноте,4689 когда стеснят6693 их враги341 их и ищущие1245 души5315 их.

10 И разбей7665 кувшин1228 пред глазами5869 тех мужей,582 которые придут1980 с тобою,

11 и скажи559 им: так говорит559 Господь3068 Саваоф:6635 так3602 сокрушу7665 Я народ5971 сей и город5892 сей, как сокрушен7665 горшечников3335 сосуд,3627 который уже не может3201 быть3201 восстановлен,7495 и будут6912 хоронить6912 их в Тофете,8612 по недостатку места4725 для погребения.6912

12 Так поступлю6213 с местом4725 сим, говорит5002 Господь,3068 и с жителями3427 его; и город5892 сей сделаю5414 подобным Тофету.8612

13 И домы1004 Иерусалима3389 и домы1004 царей4428 Иудейских3063 будут, как место4725 Тофет,8612 нечистыми,2931 потому что на кровлях1406 всех домов1004 кадят6999 всему воинству6635 небесному8064 и совершают5258 возлияния5262 богам430 чужим.312

14 И пришел935 Иеремия3414 с Тофета,8612 куда Господь3068 посылал7971 его пророчествовать,5012 и стал5975 на дворе2691 дома1004 Господня3068 и сказал559 всему народу:5971

15 так говорит559 Господь3068 Саваоф,6635 Бог430 Израилев:3478 вот, Я наведу935 на город5892 сей и на все города5892 его все то бедствие,7451 которое изрек1696 на него, потому что они жестоковыйны71856203 и не слушают8085 слов1697 Моих.

11 And say to them, Thus says the LORD of hosts: Even so will I break this people and this city, as this potter's vessel is broken, so that it cannot be mended again; and they shall bury the dead in Taphat because of the lack of burial space.

11 и скажи559 им: так говорит559 Господь3068 Саваоф:6635 так3602 сокрушу7665 Я народ5971 сей и город5892 сей, как сокрушен7665 горшечников3335 сосуд,3627 который уже не может3201 быть3201 восстановлен,7495 и будут6912 хоронить6912 их в Тофете,8612 по недостатку места4725 для погребения.6912

12 Thus will I do to this place and to its inhabitants, says the LORD, and even make this city like Taphat;

12 Так поступлю6213 с местом4725 сим, говорит5002 Господь,3068 и с жителями3427 его; и город5892 сей сделаю5414 подобным Тофету.8612

13 And the houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah shall be defiled like the place of Taphat; and likewise all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense to all the host of heaven and have poured out drink offerings to other gods.

13 И домы1004 Иерусалима3389 и домы1004 царей4428 Иудейских3063 будут, как место4725 Тофет,8612 нечистыми,2931 потому что на кровлях1406 всех домов1004 кадят6999 всему воинству6635 небесному8064 и совершают5258 возлияния5262 богам430 чужим.312

14 Then Jeremiah came from Taphat, where the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD'S house, and said to all the people,
