Chapter 5

1 THEREFORE, being justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ;

2 Through him we have been brought by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and are proud in the hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only so, but we also glory in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation perfects patience in us;

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5 And hope causes no one to be ashamed; because the love of God is poured in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given to us.

6 But Christ at this time, because of our weaknesses, died for the sake of the wicked.

7 Hardly would any man die for the sake of the wicked: * but for the sake of the good, one might be willing to die.

8 God has here manifested his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being justified by his blood, we shall be delivered from wrath through him.

10 For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 And not only so, but we also glory in God through our LORD Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the reconciliation.

12 Just as sin entered into the world by one man, and death by means of sin, so death was imposed upon all men, inasmuch as they all have sinned:

13 For until the law was given, though sin was in the world, it was not considered sin, because there was no law.

14 Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them who had not sinned in the manner of the transgression of the law by Adam, who is the likeness of him that was to come.

15 But the measure of the gift of God was not the measure of the fall. If therefore, because of the fall of one, many died, how much more will the grace and gift of God, because of one man, Jesus Christ, be increased ?

16 And the effect of the gift of God was greater than the effect of the offence of Adam: for while the judgment from one man's offence resulted in condemnation of many, the gift of God in forgiveness of sins resulted in righteousness to many more.

17 For if by one man's offence, death reigned, how much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

18 In like manner as by one man's offence, condemnation came upon all men, even so by the righteousness of one man, will the victory unto life be to all men.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man, shall many be made righteous.

20 The introduction of the law caused sin to increase, and when sin had increased, grace became abundant.

21 Just as sin had reigned through death, so grace shall reign through righteousness unto eternal life by our LORD Jesus Christ.

Глава 5

1 Итак, будучи оправданы по вере, мы имеем мир с Богом чрез Господа нашего Иисуса Христа,

2 чрез Которого верою и получили мы доступ к этой благодати, в которой стоим и хвалимся в надежде на славу Божию.

3 И не только это, но и хвалимся скорбями, зная, что скорбь вырабатывает терпение,

4 а терпение — опытность, а опытность — надежду,

5 а надежда не постыжает, потому что в сердцах наших — любовь Божия, излившаяся на нас чрез Духа Святого, данного нам.

6 Ибо к тому же Христос, когда мы были еще немощны, в установленное время умер за нечестивых.

7 Ведь едва ли кто умрёт за праведного. Может быть, за кого-нибудь доброго кто-то и дерзает умереть.

8 Но Бог Свою любовь к нам доказывает тем, что Христос умер за нас, когда еще мы были грешниками.

9 Поэтому, оправданные теперь кровью Его, мы тем более будем чрез Него спасены от гнева.

10 Ибо если, будучи врагами, мы были примирены с Богом чрез смерть Сына Его, — тем более, примирённые, будем мы спасены в жизни Его.

11 И не только это, но и хвалимся Богом чрез Господа нашего Иисуса Христа, чрез Которого мы теперь получили примирение.

12 Поэтому, как чрез одного человека грех вошел в мир, и чрез грех вошла смерть, и тем самым во всех людей перешла смерть, потому что все согрешили...

13 Ибо до Закона грех был в мире, но грех не вменяется, если нет Закона.

14 Но от Адама до Моисея смерть царствовала и над не согрешившими на подобие преступления Адама, который есть прообраз Имеющего придти.

15 Но не так, как грех — дар благодати: ибо если грехом одного многие умерли, тем более благодать Божия и дар по благодати этого одного Человека, Иисуса Христа, во многих преизобиловали.

16 И не так, как чрез одного согрешившего — дар: ибо суд за один грех — к осуждению, а дар благодати — от многих грехов к оправданию.

17 Ибо если грехом одного смерть царствовала чрез этого одного, — тем более получающие обилие благодати и дара праведности будут царствовать в жизни чрез одного Иисуса Христа.

18 Следовательно, как чрез один грех — во всех людях к осуждению, так и чрез одно дело праведное — во всех людях к оправданию жизни.

19 Ибо как чрез непослушание одного человека грешными стали многие, так и чрез послушание Одного праведными станут многие.

20 Закон же пришел после, чтобы умножился грех; но где умножился грех, явилась преизобильнейшая благодать,

21 чтобы, как царствовал грех в смерти, так и благодать царствовала чрез праведность к жизни вечной чрез Иисуса Христа, Господа нашего.

4 а терпение — опытность, а опытность — надежду,

5 а надежда не постыжает, потому что в сердцах наших — любовь Божия, излившаяся на нас чрез Духа Святого, данного нам.

12 Just as sin entered into the world by one man, and death by means of sin, so death was imposed upon all men, inasmuch as they all have sinned:

12 Поэтому, как чрез одного человека грех вошел в мир, и чрез грех вошла смерть, и тем самым во всех людей перешла смерть, потому что все согрешили...

13 For until the law was given, though sin was in the world, it was not considered sin, because there was no law.

13 Ибо до Закона грех был в мире, но грех не вменяется, если нет Закона.

14 Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them who had not sinned in the manner of the transgression of the law by Adam, who is the likeness of him that was to come.

14 Но от Адама до Моисея смерть царствовала и над не согрешившими на подобие преступления Адама, который есть прообраз Имеющего придти.

15 But the measure of the gift of God was not the measure of the fall. If therefore, because of the fall of one, many died, how much more will the grace and gift of God, because of one man, Jesus Christ, be increased ?

15 Но не так, как грех — дар благодати: ибо если грехом одного многие умерли, тем более благодать Божия и дар по благодати этого одного Человека, Иисуса Христа, во многих преизобиловали.

16 And the effect of the gift of God was greater than the effect of the offence of Adam: for while the judgment from one man's offence resulted in condemnation of many, the gift of God in forgiveness of sins resulted in righteousness to many more.

16 И не так, как чрез одного согрешившего — дар: ибо суд за один грех — к осуждению, а дар благодати — от многих грехов к оправданию.

17 For if by one man's offence, death reigned, how much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

17 Ибо если грехом одного смерть царствовала чрез этого одного, — тем более получающие обилие благодати и дара праведности будут царствовать в жизни чрез одного Иисуса Христа.

18 In like manner as by one man's offence, condemnation came upon all men, even so by the righteousness of one man, will the victory unto life be to all men.

18 Следовательно, как чрез один грех — во всех людях к осуждению, так и чрез одно дело праведное — во всех людях к оправданию жизни.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man, shall many be made righteous.

19 Ибо как чрез непослушание одного человека грешными стали многие, так и чрез послушание Одного праведными станут многие.
