3 Therefore59213651 shall the strong5794 people5971 glorify3513 thee, the city7151 of the terrible6184 nations1471 shall fear3372 thee.
4 For3588 thou hast been1961 a strength4581 to the poor,1800 a strength4581 to the needy34 in his distress,6862 a refuge4268 from the storm,44802230 a shadow6738 from the heat,44802721 when3588 the blast7307 of the terrible ones6184is as a storm2230against the wall.7023
5 Thou shalt bring down3665 the noise7588 of strangers,2114 as the heat2721 in a dry place;6724even the heat2721 with the shadow6738 of a cloud:5645 the branch2159 of the terrible ones6184 shall be brought low.6030
6 And in this2088 mountain2022 shall the LORD3068 of hosts6635 make6213 unto all3605 people5971 a feast4960 of fat things,8081 a feast4960 of wines on the lees,8105 of fat things8081 full of marrow,4229 of wines on the lees8105 well refined.2212
7 And he will destroy1104 in this2088 mountain2022 the face6440 of the covering3875 cast3874 over5921 all3605 people,5971 and the veil4541 that is spread5259 over5921 all3605 nations.1471
8 He will swallow up1104 death4194 in victory;5331 and the Lord136 GOD3069 will wipe away4229 tears1832 from off44805921 all3605 faces;6440 and the rebuke2781 of his people5971 shall he take away5493 from off44805921 all3605 the earth:776 for3588 the LORD3068 hath spoken1696it.
9 And it shall be said559 in that1931 day,3117 Lo,2009 this2088is our God;430 we have waited6960 for him, and he will save3467 us: this2088is the LORD;3068 we have waited6960 for him, we will be glad1523 and rejoice8055 in his salvation.3444
10 For3588 in this2088 mountain2022 shall the hand3027 of the LORD3068 rest,5117 and Moab4124 shall be trodden down1758 under8478 him, even as straw4963 is trodden down1758 for the dunghill.4087
11 And he shall spread forth6566 his hands3027 in the midst7130 of them, as834 he that swimmeth7811 spreadeth forth6566his hands to swim:7811 and he shall bring down8213 their pride1346 together with5973 the spoils698 of their hands.3027
12 And the fortress4013 of the high fort4869 of thy walls2346 shall he bring down,7817 lay low,8213and bring5060 to the ground,776even to5704 the dust.6083

1 Господи, Ты мой Бог! Честь и хвалу воздаю имени Твоему, потому что Ты сотворил столько дивного! Сказанное Тобой — истинная правда, всё случилось, как Ты говорил.
2 Ты укреплённый город разрушил, оставил руины от стен крепостных. Дворцы чужеземцев рухнули и никогда не будут восстановлены.
3 Сильнейшие из народов Тебе воздадут почести, могущественные властители будут бояться Тебя.
4 Убежище Ты для бедных, и, словно от жары и наводнений, Ты защищаешь их от притеснителей. Несчастья как капли дождя стекают со стен, но люди в доме Твоём невредимы.
5 Словно невыносимая жара, крики врагов сбили нас с ног, повалив на землю. Но Ты как облако, защищающее людей от палящего солнца, ответил на брошенный ими вызов.
6 В те дни Господь Всемогущий устроит пир на Своей горе. На этом пиру будут лучшие яства и вина.
7 Сейчас покров, называемый «смертью», покрывает всех людей и все народы.
8 Но смерть будет навсегда уничтожена и Господь Всемогущий утрёт слёзы с каждой щеки. В прошлом Его народ был печален, но Бог снимет эту печаль. И всё это произойдёт, потому что Господь именно так и обещал.
9 И скажут тогда люди: «Вот Он, Бог наш! Мы ждали Его, и Он спас нас». Он — Господь, Которого мы ждали. Так возликуем же и возрадуемся, когда Он нас спасёт!
10 Сила Господняя на этой горе, и поэтому Моав будет повержен. Господь растопчет врагов, как топчут солому.
11 Подобно плывущему, враги раскинут руки, спасая свою жизнь, но их гордыня потянет их на дно.
12 С землёй сравняет Он высокую крепость и стены, повергнет их на землю, и они рассыплются в прах.

5 Словно невыносимая жара, крики врагов сбили нас с ног, повалив на землю. Но Ты как облако, защищающее людей от палящего солнца, ответил на брошенный ими вызов.
