8 Царь, восседящий на престоле суда, очами своими развевает все злое.

9 Кто может сказать: `я очистил сердце мое; я чист от греха моего`?

10 Гиря да гиря, ефа да ефа, - то и другое противно Иегове.

11 И ребенок выказывает себя в поступках своих, чисто ли и право ли дело его.

12 Ухо слышит, и глаз видит; а то и другое Иегова сотворил.

13 Не люби спать, чтобы не обеднеть; держи открыто глаза свои, насыщайся хлебом.

14 Покупающий вещь говорит: `худа, худа`; а когда, взяв, пойдет себе, тогда хвалится ею.

16 Возьми у него платье, потому что он поручился за чужого, и за стороннего обяжи его залогом.

17 Приятен для человека хлеб лжи; но после рот его будет наполнен дресвою.

18 Намерения советом утверждаются; и после совещаний начинай войну.

19 Кто ходит переносчиком, тот откроет и тайное; и не дружись с тем, у кого рот широк.

20 Кто злословит отца своего и матерь свою, у того погаснет светильник среди глубокой тьмы.

21 Наследство, с торопливою жадностью схваченное в начале, и в последствии своем не благословится.

22 Не говори: `отплачу за зло`; жди Иегову, и Он спасет тебя.

23 Противны Иегове гиря да гиря, и неверность в весовых чашах нехороша.

24 Шаги мужа во власти Иеговы; а человеку как знать свой путь?

25 Сеть для человека, когда он безрассудно назовет что святынею, и после обетов начнет передумывать.

26 Мудрый царь вывеет беззаконных, и проведет по ним молотильное колесо.

27 Светило Иеговы - душа человека, обозревающая все сокровенные глубины внутреннего.

28 Благость и истина хранят царя; и престол свой он утвердит добродетелью.

29 Краса юношей - сила их; а честь старцев - седина.
