3 For the lips8193 of a strange2114 woman drop5197 as an honeycomb,5317 and her mouth2441 is smoother2513 than oil:8081

4 But her end319 is bitter4751 as wormwood,3939 sharp2299 as a two-edged6310 sword.2719

2 Чтобы стеречь помышления, и чтоб уста твои хранили ведение.

3 Ибо с уст чужой каплет сотовый мед, и мягче масла оливкового язык ее;

4 Но последнее ее горько, как полынь, остро, как обоюдуострый меч.

5 Ноги ее нисходят к смерти, стопы ее касаются преисподней;

6 Чтобы ты не начал взвешивать стезей жизни, идут и туда и сюда блуждающие следы ее; ты остаешься в неведении.

7 Итак, дети, слушайте меня; и не отступайте от изречений уст моих.

8 Удаляй от нее дорогу свою; и не подходи близко к дверям дома ее.

9 Чтобы тебе не отдать славы твоей другим, и лет твоих жестокой;

10 Чтоб посторонние не насыщались добром твоим, и труды твои в чужой дом не пошли.

11 И чтоб тебе не восстенать в последнее время свое, когда станет истаевать тело твое и плоть твоя,

12 И скажешь: `зачем я ненавидел образование, и сердце мое гнушалось учением;

13 И не слушал я голоса учителей моих, и к наставникам моим не приклонял уха моего?

14 `Едва я не подверг себя всякой беде среди церкви и общества`.

15 Пей воду из своего водоема, и влагу из своего колодезя.

16 Пусть разливаются ручьи твои по улице, по площадям потоки вод;

17 Пусть они принадлежат тебе одному, а не чужим вместе с тобою.

18 Да будет благословен источник твой; и утешайся женою юности твоей,

19 Ланию любви и серною благодати; сосцы ее пусть упоевают тебя во всякое время; увлекайся постоянно ее любовью.

20 А к чему тебе, сын мой, увлекаться чужою, и держать в объятиях не свою?

21 Ибо пути человека пред очами Иеговы; и все стези его Он взвешивает.

22 Беззаконного опутывают собственные его беззакония; и в узах греха своего он содержится.

23 Он умирает от своей необразованности; и от множества глупости своей блуждает.
