Chapter 31

1 And Moses4872 went3212 and spoke1696 these428 words1697 to all3605 Israel.3478

2 And he said559 to them, I am an hundred3967 and twenty6242 years8141 old1121 this day;3117 I can3201 no3808 more5750 go3318 out and come935 in: also the LORD3068 has said559 to me, You shall not go5674 over5674 this2088 Jordan.3383

3 The LORD3068 your God,430 he will go5674 over5674 before6440 you, and he will destroy8045 these428 nations1471 from before6440 you, and you shall possess3423 them: and Joshua,3091 he shall go5674 over5674 before6440 you, as the LORD3068 has said.1696

4 And the LORD3068 shall do6213 to them as he did6213 to Sihon5511 and to Og,5747 kings4428 of the Amorites,567 and to the land776 of them, whom834 853 he destroyed.8045

5 And the LORD3068 shall give5414 them up before your face, that you may do6213 to them according to all3605 the commandments4687 which834 I have commanded6680 you.

6 Be strong2388 and of a good courage,553 fear3372 not, nor408 be afraid6206 of them: for the LORD3068 your God,430 he it is that does go1980 with you; he will not fail7503 you, nor3808 forsake5800 you.

7 And Moses4872 called7121 to Joshua,3091 and said559 to him in the sight5869 of all3605 Israel,3478 Be strong2388 and of a good courage:553 for you must go935 with this2088 people5971 to the land776 which834 the LORD3068 has sworn7650 to their fathers1 to give5414 them; and you shall cause them to inherit5157 it.

8 And the LORD,3068 he it is that does go1980 before6440 you; he will be with you, he will not fail7503 you, neither3808 forsake5800 you: fear3372 not, neither3808 be dismayed.2865

9 And Moses4872 wrote3789 this2063 law,8451 and delivered5414 it to the priests3548 the sons1121 of Levi,3878 which bore5375 the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD,3068 and to all3605 the elders2205 of Israel.3478

10 And Moses4872 commanded6680 them, saying,559 At the end7093 of every seven7651 years,8141 in the solemnity4150 of the year8141 of release,8059 in the feast2282 of tabernacles,5521

11 When all3605 Israel3478 is come935 to appear7200 before854 6440 the LORD3068 your God430 in the place4725 which834 he shall choose,977 you shall read7121 this2063 law8451 before5048 all3605 Israel3478 in their hearing.241

12 Gather6950 the people5971 together, men 582and women,802 and children,2945 and your stranger1616 that is within your gates,8179 that they may hear,8085 and that they may learn,3925 and fear3372 the LORD3068 your God,430 and observe8104 to do6213 all3605 the words1697 of this2063 law:8451

13 And that their children,1121 which834 have not known3045 any thing, may hear,8085 and learn3925 to fear3372 the LORD3068 your God,430 as long3117 as you live2416 in the land127 where834 8033 you go5674 over5674 Jordan3383 to possess3423 it.

14 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Behold,2005 your days3117 approach7126 that you must die:4191 call7121 Joshua,3091 and present3320 yourselves in the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 that I may give him a charge.6680 And Moses4872 and Joshua3091 went,3212 and presented3320 themselves in the tabernacle168 of the congregation.4150

15 And the LORD3068 appeared7200 in the tabernacle168 in a pillar5982 of a cloud:6051 and the pillar5982 of the cloud6051 stood5975 over5921 the door6607 of the tabernacle.168

16 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Behold,2009 you shall sleep7901 with your fathers;1 and this2088 people5971 will rise6965 up, and go a whoring2181 after310 the gods430 of the strangers5236 of the land,776 where834 8033 they go935 to be among7130 them, and will forsake5800 me, and break6565 my covenant1285 which I have made3772 with them.

17 Then my anger639 shall be kindled2734 against them in that day,3117 and I will forsake5800 them, and I will hide5641 my face6440 from them, and they shall be devoured,398 and many7227 evils7451 and troubles6869 shall befall4672 them; so that they will say559 in that day,3117 Are not these428 evils7451 come4672 on us, because5921 3588 our God430 is not among7130 us?

18 And I will surely hide5641 my face6440 in that day3117 for all3605 the evils7451 which834 they shall have worked,6213 in that they are turned6437 to other312 gods.430

19 Now6258 therefore write3789 you this2063 song7892 for you, and teach3925 it the children1121 of Israel:3478 put7760 it in their mouths,6310 that this2063 song7892 may be a witness5707 for me against the children1121 of Israel.3478

20 For when3588 I shall have brought935 them into413 the land127 which834 I swore7650 to their fathers,1 that flows2100 with milk2461 and honey;1706 and they shall have eaten398 and filled7646 themselves, and waxen fat;1878 then will they turn6437 to other312 gods,430 and serve5647 them, and provoke5006 me, and break6565 my covenant.1285

21 And it shall come1961 to pass, when3588 many7227 evils7451 and troubles6869 are befallen4672 them, that this2063 song7892 shall testify6030 against6440 them as a witness;5707 for it shall not be forgotten7911 out of the mouths6310 of their seed:2233 for I know3045 their imagination3336 which834 they go6213 about,6213 even now,3117 before2962 I have brought935 them into413 the land776 which834 I swore.7650

22 Moses4872 therefore wrote3789 this2063 song7892 the same1931 day,3117 and taught3925 it the children1121 of Israel.3478

23 And he gave Joshua3091 the son1121 of Nun5126 a charge,6680 and said,559 Be strong2388 and of a good courage:553 for you shall bring935 the children1121 of Israel3478 into413 the land776 which834 I swore7650 to them: and I will be with you.

24 And it came1961 to pass, when Moses4872 had made an end3615 of writing3789 the words1697 of this2063 law8451 in a book,5612 until5704 they were finished,8552

25 That Moses4872 commanded6680 the Levites,3881 which834 bore5375 the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD,3068 saying,559

26 Take3947 this2088 book5612 of the law,8451 and put7760 it in the side6654 of the ark727 of the covenant1285 of the LORD3068 your God,430 that it may be there8033 for a witness5707 against you.

27 For I know3045 your rebellion,4805 and your stiff7186 neck:6203 behold,2005 while I am yet5750 alive2416 with you this day,3117 you have been1961 rebellious4784 against5973 the LORD;3068 and how637 much more after310 my death?4194

28 Gather6950 to me all3605 the elders2205 of your tribes,7626 and your officers,7860 that I may speak1696 these428 words1697 in their ears,241 and call5749 heaven8064 and earth776 to record5749 against them.

29 For I know3045 that after310 my death4194 you will utterly corrupt7843 yourselves, and turn5493 aside from the way1870 which834 I have commanded6680 you; and evil7451 will befall7122 you in the latter319 days;3117 because3588 you will do6213 evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD,3068 to provoke him to anger3707 through the work4639 of your hands.3027

30 And Moses4872 spoke1696 in the ears241 of all3605 the congregation4150 of Israel3478 the words1697 of this2063 song,7892 until5704 they were ended.8552

3 Теперь Он Сам, ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, перейдет реку впереди тебя. Истребит Он все народы на твоем пути, и ты овладеешь их землей. (Что же до Иисуса Навина, то он перейдет реку впереди тебя, как и обещал ГОСПОДЬ.)

4 С народами этими так же поступит ГОСПОДЬ, как с Сихоном и Огом, царями аморейскими, и их землей, — уничтожит Он эти народы.

5 ГОСПОДЬ отдаст их вам; и вы должны поступить с ними так, как я заповедал вам.

6 Будьте тверды и мужественны! Не бойтесь их и страху не поддавайтесь, ибо Сам ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, будет сопровождать тебя, Израиль, — Он в помощи тебе не откажет и никогда не оставит тебя».

7 Когда глаза всего Израиля были устремлены на Моисея, он подозвал к себе Иисуса и сказал ему: «Будь тверд и мужествен! Ты должен идти с этими людьми в страну, которую ГОСПОДЬ обещал отдать им, как в том Он клятвенно заверял их отцов. И тебе надлежит разделить ее между сынами Израилевыми как их наследие.

8 Шествовать перед тобой будет ГОСПОДЬ — с тобой Он будет! В помощи тебе Он не откажет и никогда тебя не оставит. Не бойся и мужества не теряй!»

9 После того как Моисей записал этот Закон, он передал его священникам, сынам Левия, что носили ковчег Завета ГОСПОДНЕГО, им и старейшинам Израиля

10 с таким наказом: «В конце каждого седьмого года, в год прощения долгов, во время праздника Кущей,

11 когда весь Израиль соберется перед ГОСПОДОМ, Богом твоим, на том месте, которое Сам Господь изберет, надлежит читать вслух этот Закон, чтобы все израильтяне слышали его.

12 Соберите весь народ: мужчин, женщин, детей и переселенцев, что живут среди вас, — дабы, слушая читаемое, учились они благоговеть перед ГОСПОДОМ, Богом вашим, и строго исполнять всё сказанное в этом Законе.

13 Вместе с ними и дети их, которые еще не знают этого Закона, будут слушать записанное в нем и учиться благоговению перед ГОСПОДОМ, Богом вашим; и так во все дни жизни вашей в той земле, которой вы овладеете после перехода за Иордан».

14 ГОСПОДЬ сказал Моисею: «Приближается час твоей смерти. Призови Иисуса и с ним предстань предо Мной в Шатре Богоявления, где Я дам ему наставление». Когда Моисей с Иисусом пришли и стали в Шатре Богоявления,

15 ГОСПОДЬ явился им в столпе облачном, который остановился над входом в Шатер.

16 И сказал ГОСПОДЬ Моисею: «Ты скоро отойдешь к праотцам своим, а народ этот тут же совратится и начнет блудить с чужими богами, с богами тех иноплеменников, в страну которых он идет. Они оставят Меня и нарушат Мой Завет, тот Союз, который Я заключил с ними.

17 Тогда это вызовет гнев Мой на них, оставлю их, сокрою лик Свой от них. И станут они легкой добычей врагов, постигнут их многие страшные беды. Тогда возопят они: „Не потому ли обрушились на нас эти беды, что Бога нашего нет среди нас?“

18 Но в тот день — да знают они это! — Я лик Свой скрою от них за всё то зло, которое они совершили, обратившись к другим богам.

19 А теперь запишите эту песнь и научите этой песни сынов Израилевых. Они должны будут повторять ее, и она станет Моим свидетельством против них.

20 Когда приведу их в ту землю, что источает молоко и мед, в землю, которую Я клятвенно обещал отцам их, там будут есть они досыта и тучными станут, и тогда они обратятся к другим богам, служить им станут! Меня же отвергнут они, нарушат Завет Мой, Союз со Мной.

21 И когда постигнут их многие страшные беды, эта песнь — а она не будет забыта и в грядущих поколениях, научившихся петь ее, — станет против них свидетельством, подтверждением того, что все их помыслы были Мне ведомы еще до того, как Я привел их в землю, которую им клятвенно обещал».

22 В тот же день Моисей записал эту песнь и учил сынов Израилевых петь ее.

23 А Иисусу Навину ГОСПОДЬ заповедал: «Будь тверд и мужествен, тебе надлежит ввести сынов Израилевых в землю, которую Я клятвенно обещал им. Я буду с тобой».

24 Когда Моисей записал в свиток весь Закон до последней строчки,

25 он обратился к левитам, носившим ковчег Завета ГОСПОДНЕГО:

26 «Возьмите этот свиток Закона и положите его рядом с ковчегом Завета ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего. Там будет он свидетельством против вас.

27 Ибо мне хорошо известно, как мятежны и упрямы вы можете быть. Если вы при жизни моей среди вас упрямство свое выказывали ГОСПОДУ, что же будет после смерти моей?!

28 Соберите сейчас ко мне всех старейшин колен ваших и приставников, чтобы я в их присутствии сказал им слова эти — слова песни сей, а в свидетели против них призову само небо и землю,

29 потому что знаю: сразу после смерти моей вы совершите поступки постыдные и свернете с пути, которого держаться я вам заповедал. И вскоре обрушатся на вас всякие бедствия, так как вы, гневя ГОСПОДА, станете делать то, что Он злом считает».

30 В присутствии всей общины Израилевой Моисей произнес слова этой песни до конца.

6 Будьте тверды и мужественны! Не бойтесь их и страху не поддавайтесь, ибо Сам ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, будет сопровождать тебя, Израиль, — Он в помощи тебе не откажет и никогда не оставит тебя».

14 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Behold,2005 your days3117 approach7126 that you must die:4191 call7121 Joshua,3091 and present3320 yourselves in the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 that I may give him a charge.6680 And Moses4872 and Joshua3091 went,3212 and presented3320 themselves in the tabernacle168 of the congregation.4150

14 ГОСПОДЬ сказал Моисею: «Приближается час твоей смерти. Призови Иисуса и с ним предстань предо Мной в Шатре Богоявления, где Я дам ему наставление». Когда Моисей с Иисусом пришли и стали в Шатре Богоявления,

17 Тогда это вызовет гнев Мой на них, оставлю их, сокрою лик Свой от них. И станут они легкой добычей врагов, постигнут их многие страшные беды. Тогда возопят они: „Не потому ли обрушились на нас эти беды, что Бога нашего нет среди нас?“

18 And I will surely hide5641 my face6440 in that day3117 for all3605 the evils7451 which834 they shall have worked,6213 in that they are turned6437 to other312 gods.430

18 Но в тот день — да знают они это! — Я лик Свой скрою от них за всё то зло, которое они совершили, обратившись к другим богам.

19 Now6258 therefore write3789 you this2063 song7892 for you, and teach3925 it the children1121 of Israel:3478 put7760 it in their mouths,6310 that this2063 song7892 may be a witness5707 for me against the children1121 of Israel.3478
