Kapitel 3

1 Ein jegliches hat seine Zeit2165, und6256 alles Vornehmen2656 unter dem Himmel8064 hat seine Stunde.

2 Geboren werden3205, Sterben4191, Pflanzen5193, Ausrotten6131, das gepflanzt5193 ist,

3 Würgen2026, Heilen7495, Brechen6555, Bauen1129,

4 Weinen1058, Lachen7832, Klagen5594, Tanzen7540,

5 Steine68 zerstreuen7993, Steine68 sammeln3664, Herzen2263, Fernen von Herzen2263,

6 Suchen1245, Verlieren6, Behalten8104, Wegwerfen7993,

7 Zerreißen7167, Zunähen8609, Schweigen2814, Reden1696,

8 Lieben, Hassen8130, Streit4421, Friede7965 hat157 seine Zeit6256.

9 Man arbeite, wie834 man will6001, so kann man nicht mehr ausrichten6213.

10 Daher sah7200 ich die Mühe6045, die GOtt430 den Menschen120 gegeben5414 hat6031, daß sie1121 drinnen geplagt werden.

11 Er5414 aber3303 tut6213 alles fein zu6213 seiner Zeit6256 und läßt5769 ihr Herz3820 sich ängsten, wie es gehen solle in der Welt; denn der Mensch120 kann4672 doch nicht1097 treffen das4639 Werk, das GOtt430 tut, weder Anfang7218 noch Ende5490.

12 Darum merkte3045 ich, daß nichts Besseres2896 drinnen ist, denn fröhlich2896 sein8055 und ihm gütlich tun6213 in seinem Leben2416.

13 Denn eine jeglicher Mensch120, der da isset und trinkt8354 und hat guten2896 Mut7200 in all seiner Arbeit5999, das ist398 eine Gabe4991 Gottes430.

14 Ich merkte, daß alles, was GOtt430 tut6213, das bestehet immer5769; man kann nichts369 dazutun noch3254 abtun1639; und solches tut6213 GOtt430, daß man sich3045 vor6440 ihm fürchten3372 soll.

15 Was GOtt430 tut, das stehet da; und was er tun will, das muß werden; denn er trachtet1245 und jagt ihm nach7291.

16 Weiter sah7200 ich unter der Sonne8121 Stätte4725 des Gerichts, da war4941 ein gottlos7562 Wesen, und Stätte4725 der Gerechtigkeit6664, da waren GOttlose7562.

17 Da dachte ich559 in meinem Herzen3820: GOtt430 muß richten8199 den Gerechten6662 und GOttlosen7563; denn es hat alles Vornehmen2656 seine Zeit6256 und alle Werke4639.

18 Ich sprach559 in meinem Herzen3820 von dem Wesen der Menschen120, darin GOtt430 anzeigt und1700 läßt es ansehen, als wären sie1121 unter sich7200 selbst wie das Vieh929.

19 Denn es gehet dem Menschen120 wie dem Vieh929: wie dies2088 stirbt4194, so stirbt4194 er auch, und1121 haben alle einerlei259 Odem7307; und4195 der Mensch120 hat nichts1892 mehr denn das Vieh929; denn es ist alles259 eitel.

20 Es fähret alles an einen259 Ort4725; es ist7725 alles von Staub6083 gemacht und wird wieder7725 zu1980 Staub6083.

21 Wer weiß3045, ob der Odem7307 der Menschen120 aufwärts4605 fahre5927 und der Odem7307 des Viehes929 unterwärts unter4295 die3381 Erde776 fahre?

22 Darum sah7200 ich, daß nichts Besseres ist, denn daß ein Mensch120 fröhlich sei in seiner Arbeit4639; denn das ist sein8055 Teil2506. Denn wer will935 ihn dahin bringen, daß er sehe7200 was2896 nach310 ihm geschehen wird?

Ecclesiastes

Chapter 3

1 TO everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the sun:

2 A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to lose and a time to seek; a time to tie up and a time to untie;

7 A time to rend and a time to sew; a time to keep silent and a time to speak;

8 A time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace.

9 What profit has the worker in his labor?

10 I have seen the toil which the LORD has given to the sons of men to be engaged therewith.

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time; also he has made the world dear to man's heart, so that no man can find out the works which the LORD has done from the beginning to the end.

12 I know that there is no good in worldly things, but for men to rejoice and to do good in their lives.

13 And also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor; it is the gift of the LORD.

14 I know that whatsoever the LORD does, it shall be for ever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it; and the LORD has so made it that men should reverence him.

15 That which is now, already has been; and that which is to be, has already been; and God will avenge him who has been persecuted.

16 And moreover, I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

17 I said in my heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time for every purpose and for every work.

18 I meditated in my heart concerning the estate of the sons of men whom God had created, and saw that they are like beasts.

19 For the same misfortune which befalls the sons of men befalls beasts; even one misfortune befalls them: as the one dies, so dies the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that man has no preeminence over the beast; for all is vanity.

20 All go to one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

21 Who knows whether the spirit of men goes upward and the spirit of the beasts goes downward under the earth?

22 Wherefore I saw that there is nothing better in them but that man should rejoice in his works; for that is his portion; for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
