2 und sprachen: Lieber Herr3068, der HErr113 hat geboten6680, daß man559 das Land776 zum Erbteil5159 geben5414 sollte durchs Los1486 den Kindern1121 Israel3478; und du, mein Herr113, hast geboten6680 durch den HErrn3068, daß man das Erbteil5159 Zelaphehads, unsers Bruders251, seinen Töchtern1323 geben5414 soll.

3 Wenn sie jemand259 aus den Stämmen7626 der Kinder1121 Israel3478 zu3254 Weibern802 nimmt, so wird unsers Vaters1 Erbteil5159 weniger werden1639, und1121 so viel sie haben, wird zu dem Erbteil5159 kommen des Stamms, dahin sie kommen; also wird das Los1486 unsers Erbteils5159 geringert.

4 Wenn denn nun das Halljahr3104 der Kinder1121 Israel3478 kommt, so wird ihr Erbteil5159 zu3254 dem Erbteil5159 des Stamms kommen, da sie sind; also wird unsers Vaters1 Erbteil5159 geringert, soviel sie haben.

5 Mose4872 gebot6680 den Kindern1121 Israel3478 nach dem Befehl6310 des HErrn3068 und sprach559: Der Stamm4294 der Kinder1121 Joseph3130 hat1696 recht geredet.

6 Das1697 ist‘s, das der HErr3068 gebeut den Töchtern1323 Zelaphehads und spricht: Laß sie6680 freien802, wie es ihnen5869 gefällt2896, allein daß sie559 freien802 unter dem Geschlecht4940 des Stamms ihres Vaters1,

7 auf daß nicht die Erbteile5159 der Kinder1121 Israel3478 fallen5437 von einem Stamm4294 zum andern; denn ein376 jeglicher unter den Kindern1121 Israel3478 soll anhangen1692 an dem Erbe5159 des Stamms seines Vaters1.

8 Und3423 alle Töchter1323, die Erbteil5159 besitzen3423 unter den Stämmen4294 der Kinder1121 Israel3478, sollen freien802 einen von dem Geschlecht4940 des Stamms ihres Vaters1, auf daß ein259 jeglicher376 unter den Kindern1121 Israel3478 seines Vaters1 Erbe5159 behalte,

9 und nicht ein376 Erbteil5159 von einem Stamm4294 falle5437 auf den andern312, sondern ein jeglicher hange1692 an seinem Erbe5159 unter den Stämmen4294 der Kinder1121 Israel3478.

10 Wie der HErr3068 Mose4872 geboten hatte6680, so taten6213 die Töchter1323 Zelaphehads,

11 Mahela4244, Thirza8656, Hagla, Milka4435 und Noa5270, und freieten die1323 Kinder1121 ihrer802 Vettern1730,

12 des Geschlechts4940 der Kinder1121 Manasses4519, des Sohns Josephs3130. Also blieb ihr802 Erbteil5159 an dem Stamm4294 des Geschlechts4940 ihres Vaters1.

13 Das sind die Gebote und Rechte4941, die der HErr3068 gebot4687 durch3027 Mose4872 den Kindern1121 Israel3478 auf dem Gefilde6160 der Moabiter4124 am Jordan3383 gegen Jericho3405.

1 THEN the chief fathers of the families of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, the son of Joseph, came near, and spoke before Moses and before Eleazar the priest and before the princes of the congregation, the chief fathers of the children of Israel;

2 And they said, The LORD commanded our lord to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and our lord was commanded by the LORD to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.

3 And if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their inheritance be taken from the inheritance of their fathers, and shall be added to the inheritance of the tribe into which they married; so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance.

4 And when the jubilee year of the children of Israel shall come, then shall their inheritance be added to the inheritance of the tribes into which they married; so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of their fathers.

5 And Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the LORD, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph has said well.

6 This is the thing which the LORD has commanded concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying. Let them marry whom they think best; but only within the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry,

7 So that no inheritance of the children of Israel shall be transferred from one tribe to another tribe; for every one of the children of Israel shall cleave to the inheritance of the tribe of his father.

8 And every daughter who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may inherit every man the inheritance of his fathers.

9 Neither shall the inheritance be transferred from one tribe to another; but every one of the tribes of the children of Israel shall cleave to his own inheritance.

10 Just as the LORD had commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad;

11 For Mahlah, Tirzah, Hagla, Milcah, and Joah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married to the sons of their father's brothers;

12 And they were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.

13 These are the commandments and the judgments which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses concerning the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho.

13 These are the commandments and the judgments which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses concerning the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho.
