2 Du Menschenkind1121, was ist das Holz6086 vom Weinstock1612 vor anderm Holz6086 oder eine Rebe2156 vor anderm Holz6086 im Walde3293?

3 Nimmt3947 man es auch und6086 macht6213 etwas4399 daraus? Oder macht man auch einen Nagel3489 daraus, daran man etwas3627 möge hängen8518?

4 Siehe, man wirft es ins8432 Feuer784, daß es verzehret wird6743, daß seine8147 beiden Orte das Feuer784 verzehret und5414 sein398 Mittelstes verbrennet. Wozu sollt es nun taugen? Taugt es denn auch zu etwas4399?

5 Siehe, da es noch ganz war8549, konnte man nichts daraus4399 machen6213; wieviel weniger kann nun6213 fort mehr etwas4399 daraus gemacht werden, so es das Feuer784 verzehret und verbrannt2787 hat398?

6 Darum spricht559 der HErr136 HErr3069: Gleichwie ich das Holz6086 vom Weinstock1612 vor anderm Holz6086 im Walde3293 dem Feuer784 zu verzehren gebe5414, also402 will5414 ich mit den Einwohnern3427 zu Jerusalem3389 auch umgehen

7 und3318 will mein Angesicht6440 wider sie setzen5414, daß sie dem Feuer784 nicht entgehen sollen, sondern das Feuer784 soll sie fressen398. Und ihr3045 sollt es erfahren, daß ich der HErr3068 bin, wenn ich mein Angesicht6440 wider sie setze7760

8 und4604 das Land776 wüste mache5414, darum daß sie mich verschmähen4603, spricht5002 der8077 HErr136 HErr3069.

Chapter 15

1 AND the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, What shall happen to the wood of the vine more than to any wood, or to any branch of the trees which are among the trees of the forest?

3 Shall wood be taken from the vine to make anything from it? Or do men take a peg from it to hang vessels on it?

4 Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; and when the fire has consumed both ends of it and the middle of it is burned, is it good for any work?

5 Behold, when it was whole, it was not useful for implements; how much less shall it be useful when the fire has devoured it and it is destroyed?

6 Therefore thus says the LORD God: As I have given the wood of the vine among all the trees of the forest to the fire for fuel, so I have given the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

7 And I will pour out my anger against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall consume them; and you shall know that I am the LORD, when I pour out my anger against them.

8 And I will make the land desolate and a horror because they have committed iniquity, says the LORD God.
