2 и ко всем царям, жившим на севере в горной стране и в пустыне с южной стороны Киннерефа, в Негев, западное предгорье и Нафоф-Доре. |

3 Иавин отправил послание к царям хананеев, которые жили на востоке и на западе, а также к аморреям и хеттеям, к ферезеям и иевусеям, которые жили в горной стране. Он также отправил послание к евеям, которые жили ниже горы Ермон, около Мицфы. |
|
4 И тогда армии всех этих царей собрались вместе. У них было множество воинов, коней и колесниц, там было столько народа, сколько песчинок на морском берегу. |
|
5 Все эти цари встретились у ручья Мером. Они объединили свои армии в один лагерь, чтобы сразиться с Израилем. |
|

|
7 Иисус и вся его армия напали на врагов и атаковали их у реки Мером. |
|
8 Господь предал их в руки Израиля, и израильская армия поразила их и преследовала до Великого Сидона, до Мисрефоф-Маима и до долины Мицфы на востоке. Армия Израиля сражалась до тех пор, пока не осталось в живых ни одного врага. |
|
9 Иисус сделал то, что сказал ему Господь. Он перерезал ноги вражеским коням и сжёг их колесницы. |
|
10 |
|
11 Израильская армия убила всех до единого в этом городе. Город был сожжён, и там не осталось ни одной души. |
|
12 |
|
13 Но армия Израиля не сожгла города, находившиеся на возвышенностях, кроме Асора. Иисус сжёг этот город. |
|
14 Израильтяне взяли себе всё, что нашли в этих городах, включая весь скот, а всех людей перебили, не оставив в живых ни одной души. |
|
15 Как задолго до того Господь повелел Моисею, так и Моисей заповедал это Иисусу; Иисус же послушался Бога и выполнил всё, что Господь повелел Моисею. |
|
16 Так Иисус победил все народы по всей стране. Он овладел всей нагорной землёй, всем Негевом, землёй Гесем, западными склонами, горами Израиля и всеми холмами вокруг них. |
|
17 Иисус овладел всей землёй от горы Халак, поднимающейся к Сеиру, до Ваал-Гада в долине Ливана, у горы Ермон. Иисус захватил всех царей этой земли и убил их. |
|
18 Иисус боролся против этих царей много лет. |
|
19 Только один город во всей этой земле заключил мир с Израилем, город евеев Гаваон. Все другие города были захвачены им в сражении. |
|
20 Господь хотел, чтобы эти народы думали, что они достаточно сильны для битвы с Израилем. Тогда израильтяне смогут безжалостно их истребить, как Господь повелел Моисею. |
|

|
22 В земле Израиля не осталось ни одного енакитянина. Они остались только в Газе, Гефе и в Азоте. |
|
23 Иисус захватил всю землю Израиля, как Господь повелел Моисею задолго до этого. Господь отдал эту землю Израилю, как и обещал, и Иисус разделил её между коленами Израиля. Наконец сражения закончились, и на этой земле воцарился мир. |

1 AND when Nabin king of Hazur heard of these things, he sent to Jobab king of Meron, and to the king of Shamrin, and to the king of Achshaph, |
|
2 And to the kings that were north of him in the mountains, and to the south, and in the plain of Chinnereth, and in the valleys and in Napotdor on the west, |
|
3 And to the Canaanites on the east and on the west, and to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Jebusites in the mountains, and to the Hivites below mount Hermon in the land of Mizpeh. |
|
4 And they came out with all their hosts, many people, as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with many horses and chariots. |
|
5 And when all these kings were met together, they came and encamped together at the waters of Meron, and prepared to fight against Israel. |
|
6 And the LORD said to Joshua, Do not be afraid of them; for tomorrow about this time I will cause them to be routed before Israel; and I will annihilate their horses and burn their chariots with fire. |
|
7 So Joshua came suddenly to the waters of Meron, he and all the people of war who were with him; and they fell upon them. |
|
8 And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them and pursued them as far as great Zidon, and to the lake, and as far as the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, and they left none remaining. |
|
9 And Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him: he utterly destroyed their horses and burned their chariots with fire. |
|
10 And Joshua at that time turned back and took Hazor, and slew its king with the sword; for Hazor before had been the head of all those kingdoms. |
|
11 And they smote with the edge of the sword all the people that were in it, utterly destroying them; there was not a soul left among them; and he burned Hazor with fire. |
|
12 And all the cities of those kings, and all their kings, Joshua took and smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded him. |
|
13 And all the towns that stood on the hills did Israel burn, and Joshua burned Hazor. |
|
14 And all the spoil of these cities and the cattle, the children of Israel took for themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword until they had annihilated them, and they did not leave a soul among them. |
|
15 Just as the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses. |
|
16 So Joshua took all that land, the mountain country and all the south country and all the land of the plain and all the mountains and their lowlands; |
|
17 From mount Paleg that goes up to Seir, as far as Gadgad in the valley of Lebanon below mount Hermon; and all their kings Joshua took and slew. |
|
18 Joshua made war for a long time with all those kings. |
|
19 There was not a city that was not delivered up to the children of Israel, and they destroyed it, except the Hivites who dwell in Gibeon, whom Joshua allowed to live, and work for Israel. Now all these kingdoms are seven in number, and Joshua destroyed them all. |
|
20 For it was of the LORD to encourage their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that they might destroy them utterly, and that they might not have compassion upon them, but that they might destroy them, as the LORD had commanded Moses. |
|
21 And at that time came Joshua and smote the giants who were in the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Gebal and from all the mountains of Judah and from all the mountains of Israel; Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities. |
|
22 There was none of the giants left remaining in the land of the children of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did any remain. |
|
23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had spoken to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war. |

5 And when all these kings were met together, they came and encamped together at the waters of Meron, and prepared to fight against Israel. |

6 And the LORD said to Joshua, Do not be afraid of them; for tomorrow about this time I will cause them to be routed before Israel; and I will annihilate their horses and burn their chariots with fire. |

7 Иисус и вся его армия напали на врагов и атаковали их у реки Мером. |
7 So Joshua came suddenly to the waters of Meron, he and all the people of war who were with him; and they fell upon them. |
|
8 Господь предал их в руки Израиля, и израильская армия поразила их и преследовала до Великого Сидона, до Мисрефоф-Маима и до долины Мицфы на востоке. Армия Израиля сражалась до тех пор, пока не осталось в живых ни одного врага. |
8 And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them and pursued them as far as great Zidon, and to the lake, and as far as the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, and they left none remaining. |

9 Иисус сделал то, что сказал ему Господь. Он перерезал ноги вражеским коням и сжёг их колесницы. |
9 And Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him: he utterly destroyed their horses and burned their chariots with fire. |

10 And Joshua at that time turned back and took Hazor, and slew its king with the sword; for Hazor before had been the head of all those kingdoms. |
|
11 Израильская армия убила всех до единого в этом городе. Город был сожжён, и там не осталось ни одной души. |
11 And they smote with the edge of the sword all the people that were in it, utterly destroying them; there was not a soul left among them; and he burned Hazor with fire. |
|

12 And all the cities of those kings, and all their kings, Joshua took and smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded him. |
|
13 Но армия Израиля не сожгла города, находившиеся на возвышенностях, кроме Асора. Иисус сжёг этот город. |
13 And all the towns that stood on the hills did Israel burn, and Joshua burned Hazor. |
|
14 Израильтяне взяли себе всё, что нашли в этих городах, включая весь скот, а всех людей перебили, не оставив в живых ни одной души. |
14 And all the spoil of these cities and the cattle, the children of Israel took for themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword until they had annihilated them, and they did not leave a soul among them. |

15 Как задолго до того Господь повелел Моисею, так и Моисей заповедал это Иисусу; Иисус же послушался Бога и выполнил всё, что Господь повелел Моисею. |
15 Just as the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses. |

16 Так Иисус победил все народы по всей стране. Он овладел всей нагорной землёй, всем Негевом, землёй Гесем, западными склонами, горами Израиля и всеми холмами вокруг них. |
16 So Joshua took all that land, the mountain country and all the south country and all the land of the plain and all the mountains and their lowlands; |

17 Иисус овладел всей землёй от горы Халак, поднимающейся к Сеиру, до Ваал-Гада в долине Ливана, у горы Ермон. Иисус захватил всех царей этой земли и убил их. |
17 From mount Paleg that goes up to Seir, as far as Gadgad in the valley of Lebanon below mount Hermon; and all their kings Joshua took and slew. |

18 Иисус боролся против этих царей много лет. |
18 Joshua made war for a long time with all those kings. |
|
19 Только один город во всей этой земле заключил мир с Израилем, город евеев Гаваон. Все другие города были захвачены им в сражении. |

23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had spoken to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war. |
