1 Господь сказал: «Посмотрите на этих детей, они не повинуются Мне, они строят планы без Моей помощи и заключают соглашения с другими народами, но Мой Дух не желает тех соглашений. Они лишь умножают свои грехи.
2 Не спросив Меня, они идут за помощью в Египет, надеясь получить спасение у фараона и защиту у Египта.
3 Однако Я говорю, что прятаться в Египте бесполезно, фараон вас не спасёт.
4 Ваши правители ушли в Цоан, а послы ушли в Ханес.
5 Но все они будут раздосадованы, потому что зависят от народа, который им не поможет. Египет бесполезен, от него вам помощи не будет, а только стыд и срам».
6 Печальна весть о животных в Негеве: Негев — опасное место, он полон львов, гадюк и ядовитых змей. Но некоторые люди проходят через Негев в Египет, они кладут свои богатства на спины ослов и верблюдов и несут свои сокровища народу, который им не поможет.
7 Помощь египетского народа бессильна, и потому Я дал ему имя «Ни на что не способный дракон».
8 Теперь запиши в книгу, чтобы видели все, запиши это ради далёкого будущего.
9 Эти люди как дети, не подчиняющиеся родителям, они лгут и не слушают поучений Господних.
10 Они говорят пророкам: «Пусть прекратятся те сны, которые вещают о том, что нам делать. Не говорите нам правды, а говорите только лестное, предсказывайте нам приятное.
11 Перестаньте предсказывать будущее! Убирайтесь! Уходите! Не рассказывайте нам о Святом Израиля!»
12 Святой Израиля так говорит: «Вы отказываетесь принять весть от Господа, вы хотите помочь себе, полагаясь на силу и обман.
13 Ваша вина в том, что вы подобны высоким стенам, но эти стены потрескались, и они упадут и разобьются на части.
14 Вы будете подобны большому глиняному горшку, разбившемуся на бесчисленные, бесполезные черепки, в них не принесёшь ни воды из колодца, ни углей из костра».
15 Господь Бог, Святой Израиля, говорит: «Если вы вернётесь ко Мне, то будете спасены. Вы обретёте силу, только если поверите в Меня, а также будете спокойны и терпеливы».
16 и поэтому говорите: «Мы убежим и ускачем на конях». Это верно, вы помчитесь на конях, но кони вашего врага будут быстры.
17 От угрозы одного врага побегут тысячи, пять врагов пригрозят, и вы все побежите. И останутся от вашего войска лишь древки стягов на вершинах холмов.
18 Господь желает явить вам Своё милосердие, Он медлит, Он хочет возвысить и успокоить вас. Господь справедлив, и каждый, кто ждёт Его помощи, будет благословлён.
19 Народ Господний будет жить в Иерусалиме на горе Сион. Вы не будете больше плакать, Господь услышит ваш плач и утешит вас, Господь услышит вас и вам поможет.
20 Господь мой дал вам горести и причинил боль: вы день ото дня ели их как хлеб и пили как воду. Но Бог, Учитель ваш, больше не будет скрываться от вас, и вы увидите Его своими глазами.
21 И если ты уклонишься налево или направо, то за спиной услышишь голос, который скажет: «Это правильный путь, иди по нему».
22 Ты перестанешь служить золотым и серебряным идолам и, выбросив их как мусор или грязное тряпьё, ты скажешь: «Убирайтесь прочь!»
23 Господь пошлёт тебе дождь, ты будешь сажать семена, и земля даст тебе хлеб, урожай твой будет обилен, и твои стада будут пастись на обширных полях.
24 И скот, и ослы твои ни в чём не будут знать нужды, лопатой и вилами ты будешь давать корм своему скоту.
25 И на каждой горе, и на каждом холме будут ручьи. Всё это будет после того, как падут башни, и многие будут убиты.
26 В то время свет луны будет как свет солнца, а солнечный свет будет в семь раз ярче, чем был. Солнечный свет одного дня будет равен свету семи дней, когда Господь перевяжет раны Своего поражённого народа и исцелит его от причинённой ему боли.
27 Вот Господь идёт издали, гнев Его как огонь в густых облаках дыма, уста Его исполнены негодования, и язык Его словно всепоглощающий огонь.
28 Дыхание Господа подобно великой реке, воды которой поднимаются до самого горла. Господь будет судить народы, будто бы пропуская их через сито, и отделяя тех, кому суждено погибнуть. Господь обуздает те народы и поведёт их в те земли, куда по своей воле они бы не пошли.
29 В это время ты будешь петь счастливые песни, как в праздничную ночь, ты будешь счастлив, направляясь для поклонения к горе Господней, пока слышишь свирель на пути к Скале Израиля.
30 И прогремит величественный голос Господа, и все увидят Его могущественную, карающую руку, она будет подобна великому всепоглощающему огню, сила Господняя словно буря с великим дождём и крупным градом.
32 Под звук барабанов и арф Господь победит Ассирию.
33 Тофет уже давно готов для царя, он широк и глубок, там много дров и огня. Дыхание Господа как поток горящей серы разожжёт огонь.

27 Behold,2009 the name8034 of the LORD3068 comes935 from far,4801 burning1197 with his anger,639 and the burden4858 thereof is heavy:3514 his lips8193 are full4390 of indignation,2195 and his tongue3956 as a devouring398 fire:784
28 And his breath,7307 as an overflowing7857 stream,5158 shall reach2673 to the middle2673 of the neck,6677 to sift5130 the nations1471 with the sieve5299 of vanity:7723 and there shall be a bridle7448 in the jaws3895 of the people,5971 causing them to err.8582
29 You shall have1961 a song,7892 as in the night3915 when a holy6942 solemnity2282 is kept;6942 and gladness8057 of heart,3824 as when one goes1980 with a pipe2485 to come935 into the mountain2022 of the LORD,3068 to the mighty6697 One of Israel.3478
30 And the LORD3068 shall cause his glorious1935 voice6963 to be heard,8085 and shall show7200 the lighting5183 down5183 of his arm,2220 with the indignation2197 of his anger,639 and with the flame3851 of a devouring398 fire,784 with scattering,5311 and tempest,2230 and hailstones681259.

32 And in every3605 place where the grounded4145 staff4294 shall pass,4569 which834 the LORD3068 shall lay5117 on him, it shall be with tabrets8596 and harps:3658 and in battles4421 of shaking8573 will he fight3898 with it.

15 Господь Бог, Святой Израиля, говорит: «Если вы вернётесь ко Мне, то будете спасены. Вы обретёте силу, только если поверите в Меня, а также будете спокойны и терпеливы».
