2 «Кто такой ГОСПОДЬ, — возразил фараон, — чтобы я слушался Его и отпустил израильтян? Знать не знаю я вашего ГОСПОДА и израильтян не отпущу!» |
|
3 Но они стояли на своем: «Бог евреев дозволил нам встретиться с Ним, и потому мы просим отпустить нас в пустыню — три дня пути отсюда — принести жертвы ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему, чтобы Он не поразил нас напастью какой или мечом». |
|
4 «Моисей и Аарон, — прервал их египетский царь, — чего вы добиваетесь, отвлекая людей от работы? Ступайте и делайте всё, что от рабов требуется!» |
|
5 И, подумав, добавил: «Посмотрите, сколько всякого народа теперь в стране нашей! Может быть, вы хотите, чтобы они бросили работу?!» |

7 «Не давать им больше соломы для изготовления кирпичей, как это делали до сих пор. Пусть они идут и сами собирают солому! |
|
8 А кирпичей требуйте с них, как и прежде, — ни кирпичом меньше. Совсем обленились они, потому и кричат: „Пойдем в пустыню, принесем жертвы Богу нашему!“ |
|
9 Труд их должен стать еще тяжелее. Занятые делом, они не будут столь падки на всякую ложь». |

11 Сами собирайте ее себе, где найдете, а дневную выработку вашу ни на кирпич не убавляйте!“» |
|
12 Ходили израильтяне по полям Египта и, не находя достаточно соломы, собирали вместо нее жнивье, |
|
13 а надсмотрщики заставляли их делать каждый день столько же кирпичей, как и прежде, когда у них была солома. |
|
14 Фараоновы надсмотрщики поставили приставников над сынами Израилевыми из самих же израильтян. Надсмотрщики били этих десятников и спрашивали с них: «Почему ни вчера, ни сегодня вы не сделали положенного числа кирпичей?» |

|
16 Соломы нам, рабам твоим, больше не дают, а кирпичей делать заставляют столько же! Посмотри, как избиты твои рабы, и виновны в том твои люди». |
|
17 «Да вы совсем обленились, — сказал им фараон. — Стали ленивы, потому и твердите: „Пойдем в пустыню, принесем жертвы ГОСПОДУ нашему!“ |
|
18 Сейчас же отправляйтесь на работу! Соломы вам больше не дадут, а положенное число кирпичей делайте!» |
|
19 |

20 Выйдя от фараона, они встретили ожидавших их возле дворца Моисея и Аарона |
|
21 и сказали им: «Пусть припомнит вам это ГОСПОДЬ и судит вас за то, что мы стали ненавистны фараону и слугам его, ведь вы дали им повод убивать нас!» |
|
22 Тогда Моисей излил пред ГОСПОДОМ душу свою: «ГОСПОДИ! За что Ты навел такую беду на народ сей? И для чего Ты послал меня? |
|
23 Ведь с тех пор как я пришел к фараону и стал говорить с ним от имени Твоего, он еще хуже стал поступать с этим народом. А Ты так и не спас народ Свой!» |

1 AND afterward Moses and Aaron went into the palace and told Pharaoh, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness. |
|
2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, neither will I let Israel go. |
|
3 And they said, The LORD God of the Hebrews has appeared to us; now let us go three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with the sword or with pestilence. |
|
4 And the king of Egypt said to them, Wherefore do you, Moses and Aaron, cause the people to stop from their work? Go back to your tasks. |
|
5 And Pharaoh said to them, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and you cause them to stop from their work. |
|
6 And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people and their scribes, saying, |
|
7 You shall no more give the people straw to make bricks, as heretofore; let them go and gather straw for themselves. |
|
8 But the number of bricks which they did make heretofore, you shall lay upon them; you shall not reduce the number thereof; for they are idle; that is why they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God. |
|
9 Let more work be assigned to the men, that they may be occupied, so that they may not think to engage in vain conversations. |
|
10 And the taskmasters of the people and their scribes went out and said to the people, Thus says Pharaoh, I will not give you straw. |
|
11 Go, get straw for yourselves wherever you can find it; but your work shall not be reduced. |
|
12 So the people were scattered throughout all the land of Egypt to gather the stubble. |
|
13 And the taskmasters pressed them, saying, Complete your work as you have always done, as when straw was given to you. |
|
14 And the scribes of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had appointed over them, were beaten, and demanded, Why have you not completed your quota of bricks both yesterday and today, as heretofore? |
|
15 Then the scribes of the children of Israel came and complained to Pharaoh, saying, Why are your servants treated in this manner? |
|
16 There is no straw given to your servants, and yet they say to us, Make bricks: and, behold, your servants are beaten; and you sin against your people. |
|
17 But Pharaoh said to them, You are surely idle; therefore you say, Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD. |
|
18 Go therefore now and work; and straw shall not be given you, yet you shall deliver the number of bricks. |
|
19 And the scribes of the children of Israel saw that they were in a bad situation, for it was said to them, You must not reduce the number of your bricks, of your daily task. |
|
20 And they met Moses and Aaron standing opposite them, as they came out from the presence of Pharaoh; |
|
21 And they said to them, May the LORD look upon you and judge; because you have made us to be in disfavor in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hands to kill us. |
|
22 And Moses returned to the LORD and said, O my LORD, Why hast thou caused this people to be ill-treated? And why didst thou send me here? |
|
23 For since the hour I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he has ill-treated this people; and thou hast not delivered thy people at all. |

3 And they said, The LORD God of the Hebrews has appeared to us; now let us go three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with the sword or with pestilence. |

4 «Моисей и Аарон, — прервал их египетский царь, — чего вы добиваетесь, отвлекая людей от работы? Ступайте и делайте всё, что от рабов требуется!» |
4 And the king of Egypt said to them, Wherefore do you, Moses and Aaron, cause the people to stop from their work? Go back to your tasks. |

5 И, подумав, добавил: «Посмотрите, сколько всякого народа теперь в стране нашей! Может быть, вы хотите, чтобы они бросили работу?!» |
5 And Pharaoh said to them, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and you cause them to stop from their work. |
|
6 |
6 And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people and their scribes, saying, |
|
7 «Не давать им больше соломы для изготовления кирпичей, как это делали до сих пор. Пусть они идут и сами собирают солому! |
7 You shall no more give the people straw to make bricks, as heretofore; let them go and gather straw for themselves. |
|
8 А кирпичей требуйте с них, как и прежде, — ни кирпичом меньше. Совсем обленились они, потому и кричат: „Пойдем в пустыню, принесем жертвы Богу нашему!“ |
8 But the number of bricks which they did make heretofore, you shall lay upon them; you shall not reduce the number thereof; for they are idle; that is why they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God. |
|
9 Труд их должен стать еще тяжелее. Занятые делом, они не будут столь падки на всякую ложь». |
9 Let more work be assigned to the men, that they may be occupied, so that they may not think to engage in vain conversations. |

14 And the scribes of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had appointed over them, were beaten, and demanded, Why have you not completed your quota of bricks both yesterday and today, as heretofore? |

15 Then the scribes of the children of Israel came and complained to Pharaoh, saying, Why are your servants treated in this manner? |

16 Соломы нам, рабам твоим, больше не дают, а кирпичей делать заставляют столько же! Посмотри, как избиты твои рабы, и виновны в том твои люди». |
16 There is no straw given to your servants, and yet they say to us, Make bricks: and, behold, your servants are beaten; and you sin against your people. |
|
17 «Да вы совсем обленились, — сказал им фараон. — Стали ленивы, потому и твердите: „Пойдем в пустыню, принесем жертвы ГОСПОДУ нашему!“ |
17 But Pharaoh said to them, You are surely idle; therefore you say, Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD. |

18 Сейчас же отправляйтесь на работу! Соломы вам больше не дадут, а положенное число кирпичей делайте!» |
18 Go therefore now and work; and straw shall not be given you, yet you shall deliver the number of bricks. |
|
19 |
19 And the scribes of the children of Israel saw that they were in a bad situation, for it was said to them, You must not reduce the number of your bricks, of your daily task. |
|
20 Выйдя от фараона, они встретили ожидавших их возле дворца Моисея и Аарона |
20 And they met Moses and Aaron standing opposite them, as they came out from the presence of Pharaoh; |
|
21 и сказали им: «Пусть припомнит вам это ГОСПОДЬ и судит вас за то, что мы стали ненавистны фараону и слугам его, ведь вы дали им повод убивать нас!» |
21 And they said to them, May the LORD look upon you and judge; because you have made us to be in disfavor in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hands to kill us. |

22 Тогда Моисей излил пред ГОСПОДОМ душу свою: «ГОСПОДИ! За что Ты навел такую беду на народ сей? И для чего Ты послал меня? |
22 And Moses returned to the LORD and said, O my LORD, Why hast thou caused this people to be ill-treated? And why didst thou send me here? |
|
23 Ведь с тех пор как я пришел к фараону и стал говорить с ним от имени Твоего, он еще хуже стал поступать с этим народом. А Ты так и не спас народ Свой!» |
23 For since the hour I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he has ill-treated this people; and thou hast not delivered thy people at all. |
