Глава 23

1 Слухов пустых не распространяй; не поддерживай человека нечестивого, давая на суде показания заведомо ложные и злобные.

2 Не иди за толпой в деле злом и в разборе тяжбы не будь на стороне большинства, правдою поступаясь.

3 На суде не спеши оказывать предпочтение бедняку.

4 Если случится тебе встретить заблудившегося быка или осла врага твоего, непременно отведи их к нему.

5 И, когда увидишь, что осел ненавистника твоего упал, ноши своей не осилив, не пройди мимо — помоги недругу твоему развьючить животное.

6 Не будь несправедливым, когда разбираешь тяжбы бедняков.

7 К обвинению ложному не будь причастен, чтобы не погубить тебе невинного и правого, — Я не оправдаю виновного!

8 Взяток не бери, ибо они и зрячих ослепляют: дело правых представляют в неверном свете.

9 Людей, пришедших жить в твою землю, не притесняй; вы же были пришлыми в Египте и знаете, каково человеку в чужой стране.

10 Землю свою ежегодно засевай и собирай урожай с нее в течение шести лет,

11 а в седьмой год в покое ее оставляй, невозделанной. Пусть тем, что на ней вырастет, кормятся бедные из народа твоего, а оставшееся от них дикие животные пусть доедают. Так же следует поступать тебе и с виноградником твоим, и с масличным садом.

12 Шесть дней ты можешь заниматься своей обычной работой, а в седьмой должен ее прекратить, чтобы могли отдохнуть и вол, и осел твой. Пусть набираются сил в этот день и сын рабыни твоей, и человек пришлый, работающий у тебя.

13 Смотри, ничего не упусти из того, что заповедал Я тебе. А имена других богов забудь, даже между прочим не произноси их.

14 Три раза в году устраивай праздники, их Мне посвящая.

15 Отправляй праздник Опресноков, как Я повелел тебе: ешь пресный хлеб семь дней, кои для того определены в месяце авиве, в том месяце, в который ты покинул Египет. В эти дни никто не должен приходить ко Мне на поклонение с пустыми руками.

16 Затем следует праздник Жатвы первых плодов труда твоего, уродившихся на засеянном тобой поле. И, наконец, праздник Завершения сбора плодов в конце года, когда уберешь с поля все плоды своего труда.

17 Вот когда три раза в году все ваши мужчины должны представать передо Мной, Владыкой ГОСПОДОМ.

18 Никогда не смешивай ничего квасного с кровью приносимой Мне жертвы. Жир животных, приносимых в жертву в дни праздников, Мной указанных, не оставляй до утра.

19 Лучшее из того, что на земле твоей выращиваешь, что в самом начале сбора урожая снимаешь, в Дом ГОСПОДА, Бога своего, приноси. И козленка в молоке матери его не вари.

20 Знайте, Я посылаю перед вами Ангела, чтобы хранил Он вас в пути и привел на то место, которое Я приготовил для вас.

21 Каждый следи за собой — вам жить при Нем, слушайтесь Его и воле Его не противьтесь, ведь не простит Он умышленного преступления вашего, Собой являя Меня.

22 Но если будете слушаться Его и исполнять всё, что Я скажу через Него, стану врагом врагов ваших, противником ваших противников.

23 Когда Мой Ангел, идя перед вами, приведет вас к амореям, хеттам, периззеям, ханаанеям, хиввеям и евусеям — всех их истреблю Я.

24 А вы не поклоняйтесь богам их, не служите им и обычаям народов этих не следуйте. Сокрушите их идолов и камни их священные разбейте.

25 Только ГОСПОДУ одному, Богу вашему, служите, и благословит Он хлеб ваш и воду. Все болезни отведу от вас.

26 Не будет преждевременных родов и бесплодных не будет в стране вашей; жизнь ваша будет долгой.

27 На всем пути вашем впереди вас пойдет ужас, Мной вызванный. Я в смятение приведу все народы, к которым вы идете, так что увидите вы только спины убегающих от вас врагов.

28 Пошлю перед вами шершней злых, и погонят они прочь от вас всех хиввеев, ханаанеев и хеттов.

29 Я не стану изгонять их всех сразу за один год, иначе земля останется необработанной и дикие звери расплодятся на ней вам во вред.

30 Нет, изгонять эти народы Я буду постепенно, пока потомство ваше не умножится настолько, что вы сможете владеть всей этой землей.

31 Установлю границы ваши от Красного моря до моря Филистимского, от Великой пустыни до реки Евфрата; предам в ваши руки жителей земель этих, и вы прогоните их прочь от себя.

32 Никаких союзов не заключайте ни с ними самими, ни с богами их.

33 Не должны оставаться они в стране вашей, чтобы не ввели вас в грех против Меня, заманив служить их богам».

Chapter 23

1 YOU shall not confirm a false report: do not stretch out your hand taking oaths with the guilty to become a false witness for him.

2 You shall not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shall you testify in a lawsuit so as to pervert justice, in order to side with a multitude which deviates from justice.

3 Neither shall you be partial to a poor man in his lawsuit.

4 If you meet your enemy's ox or his ass going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.

5 If you should see the ass of your enemy lying under its burden, and you are unwilling to help him lift it up, you should surely help him to lift it up nevertheless.

6 You shall not pervert the justice due to a poor man in his lawsuit.

7 Keep far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous you shall not slay; for I will not justify the wicked.

8 And you shall take no bribe; for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise in judgment and perverts the words of the righteous.

9 You shall not oppress strangers: for you know the life of a stranger; you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

10 For six years you shall sow your land and shall gather in the crops thereof:

11 But the seventh year you shall leave it fallow, so that the poor of your people may eat of the fruits of it; and what is left the wild beasts may eat. You shall do in like manner with your vineyard and with your olive yard.

12 Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your ass may rest and the son of your handmaid; and that the stranger in your towns may be refreshed.

13 Take heed of all things that I have said to you; and make no mention of the name of false idols, neither think of them.

14 Three times in the year you shall celebrate a festival for me.

15 You shall keep the festival of the unleavened bread (you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days, as I commanded you, at the time appointed of the month of Abib; for in the month of Abib you came out of the land of Egypt; you shall not appear before me without a gift offering:)

16 And the festival of the harvest, the first fruits of your grain which you sow in the field; and the festival of the ingathering, which is at the end of the year, when you have gathered your crop from the field.

17 Three times in the year all your gift offerings shall appear before the LORD your God.

18 You shall not offer the blood of a sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of the festival sacrifices remain until morning.

19 The best of the first fruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God. You shall not cook the meat of a kid in its mother's milk.

20 Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you into the land which I have prepared.

21 Heed him and obey his voice; do not strive against him; perhaps he will not pardon your transgressions; for my name is upon him.

22 But if you shall indeed obey his voice and do all that he says to you, then I will hate those who hate you and oppress your enemies.

23 For my angel shall go before you and bring you against the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will destroy them.

24 You shall not worship their gods nor serve them nor do after their works; but you shall utterly overthrow them and break down their statues.

25 And you shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless your bread and your water; and I will take sickness away from your houses.

26 There shall nothing cast their young nor be barren in your land; the number of your days I will fulfil.

27 I will send my fear before you and will destroy all the peoples against whom you shall go to war, and I will make all your enemies flee from you.

28 And I will send fierce armies before you, and will destroy the Canaanites and the Hittites from before you.

29 I will not destroy them from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you.

30 Little by little I will destroy them before you, till you become strong and inherit the land.

31 And I will set your boundaries from the Red Sea as far as the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the river Euphrates; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hands; and you shall destroy them.

32 You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their idols.

33 They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin before me; you shall not serve their gods, lest they be a stumbling block to you.

1 Слухов пустых не распространяй; не поддерживай человека нечестивого, давая на суде показания заведомо ложные и злобные.

7 Keep far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous you shall not slay; for I will not justify the wicked.

8 Взяток не бери, ибо они и зрячих ослепляют: дело правых представляют в неверном свете.

8 And you shall take no bribe; for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise in judgment and perverts the words of the righteous.

9 Людей, пришедших жить в твою землю, не притесняй; вы же были пришлыми в Египте и знаете, каково человеку в чужой стране.

9 You shall not oppress strangers: for you know the life of a stranger; you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

10 Землю свою ежегодно засевай и собирай урожай с нее в течение шести лет,

10 For six years you shall sow your land and shall gather in the crops thereof:

11 а в седьмой год в покое ее оставляй, невозделанной. Пусть тем, что на ней вырастет, кормятся бедные из народа твоего, а оставшееся от них дикие животные пусть доедают. Так же следует поступать тебе и с виноградником твоим, и с масличным садом.

11 But the seventh year you shall leave it fallow, so that the poor of your people may eat of the fruits of it; and what is left the wild beasts may eat. You shall do in like manner with your vineyard and with your olive yard.

12 Шесть дней ты можешь заниматься своей обычной работой, а в седьмой должен ее прекратить, чтобы могли отдохнуть и вол, и осел твой. Пусть набираются сил в этот день и сын рабыни твоей, и человек пришлый, работающий у тебя.

12 Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your ass may rest and the son of your handmaid; and that the stranger in your towns may be refreshed.

13 Смотри, ничего не упусти из того, что заповедал Я тебе. А имена других богов забудь, даже между прочим не произноси их.

13 Take heed of all things that I have said to you; and make no mention of the name of false idols, neither think of them.

14 Три раза в году устраивай праздники, их Мне посвящая.

14 Three times in the year you shall celebrate a festival for me.

15 Отправляй праздник Опресноков, как Я повелел тебе: ешь пресный хлеб семь дней, кои для того определены в месяце авиве, в том месяце, в который ты покинул Египет. В эти дни никто не должен приходить ко Мне на поклонение с пустыми руками.

15 You shall keep the festival of the unleavened bread (you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days, as I commanded you, at the time appointed of the month of Abib; for in the month of Abib you came out of the land of Egypt; you shall not appear before me without a gift offering:)

16 Затем следует праздник Жатвы первых плодов труда твоего, уродившихся на засеянном тобой поле. И, наконец, праздник Завершения сбора плодов в конце года, когда уберешь с поля все плоды своего труда.

16 And the festival of the harvest, the first fruits of your grain which you sow in the field; and the festival of the ingathering, which is at the end of the year, when you have gathered your crop from the field.

17 Вот когда три раза в году все ваши мужчины должны представать передо Мной, Владыкой ГОСПОДОМ.

17 Three times in the year all your gift offerings shall appear before the LORD your God.

18 Никогда не смешивай ничего квасного с кровью приносимой Мне жертвы. Жир животных, приносимых в жертву в дни праздников, Мной указанных, не оставляй до утра.

18 You shall not offer the blood of a sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of the festival sacrifices remain until morning.

19 Лучшее из того, что на земле твоей выращиваешь, что в самом начале сбора урожая снимаешь, в Дом ГОСПОДА, Бога своего, приноси. И козленка в молоке матери его не вари.

19 The best of the first fruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God. You shall not cook the meat of a kid in its mother's milk.

20 Знайте, Я посылаю перед вами Ангела, чтобы хранил Он вас в пути и привел на то место, которое Я приготовил для вас.

20 Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you into the land which I have prepared.

21 Каждый следи за собой — вам жить при Нем, слушайтесь Его и воле Его не противьтесь, ведь не простит Он умышленного преступления вашего, Собой являя Меня.

21 Heed him and obey his voice; do not strive against him; perhaps he will not pardon your transgressions; for my name is upon him.

22 Но если будете слушаться Его и исполнять всё, что Я скажу через Него, стану врагом врагов ваших, противником ваших противников.

22 But if you shall indeed obey his voice and do all that he says to you, then I will hate those who hate you and oppress your enemies.

23 Когда Мой Ангел, идя перед вами, приведет вас к амореям, хеттам, периззеям, ханаанеям, хиввеям и евусеям — всех их истреблю Я.

23 For my angel shall go before you and bring you against the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will destroy them.

24 А вы не поклоняйтесь богам их, не служите им и обычаям народов этих не следуйте. Сокрушите их идолов и камни их священные разбейте.

31 And I will set your boundaries from the Red Sea as far as the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the river Euphrates; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hands; and you shall destroy them.
