Глава 17

1 Грех потомков Иуды стержнем железным начертан, кремневым острием он высечен на скрижалях сердец их и на рогах их жертвенников.

2 Даже дети их помнят жертвенники и столбы, Ашере посвященные, что возле каждого раскидистого дерева стояли на холмах высоких

3 и горах среди равнины. Все твои богатства и сокровища, Иудея, отдам Я на расхищение вместе с холмами твоими за прегрешения во всех твоих землях.

4 Лишишься ты по своей же вине наследства, которое Я дал тебе. И отдам вас в услужение врагам вашим в стране, которой не знаете, ибо разожгли вы огонь гнева Моего, и пылать он будет вечно».

5 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Проклят тот, кто сердцем отвернулся от Меня, кто надежды свои на человека возлагает и кому плоть смертная опорой служит.

6 Он как куст, что затерян в степи; приди на землю благо какое, не ощутит он его; обитать он будет в выжженной пустыне, солончаках безлюдных.

7 Благословен тот, кто на ГОСПОДА возложил надежды свои, упование его — ГОСПОДЬ.

8 Будет он подобен дереву, что посажено у воды, что пустило корни свои к потоку. Ему не страшен зной — зеленеет крона его. Нечего ему бояться в год губительной засухи, не перестанет оно плодоносить.

9 Коварно сердце человека, крайне испорчено оно. Кто может постичь его?

10 Я, ГОСПОДЬ, читаю мысли, испытываю сердца, чтобы воздать каждому по поступкам, по плодам его дел».

11 Как куропатке нет пользы высиживать чужих птенцов, так и человеку нет нужды наживать богатство путем неправедным: в зените дней утратит он его, в конце концов окажется глупцом.

12 Престол славы, вознесенный от начала, — Святилище наше.

13 ГОСПОДЬ — надежда Израиля! Все, кто оставляет Тебя, будут посрамлены. «Те, что отдаляются от Меня, к праху причислены будут — ведь оставили они ГОСПОДА, Источник живой воды».

14 Исцели меня, ГОСПОДИ, и буду исцелен, спаси меня, и буду спасен, ведь Тобой одним я хвалюсь!

15 Вот что они говорят мне: «Где же обещанное в слове ГОСПОДНЕМ? Пусть оно сбудется!»

16 Но я не бежал от Тебя, не желая быть пастырем, и не жаждал дня погибельного. Ты знаешь всё, что из уст моих исходило, всё было пред Тобой.

17 Не наводи на меня страх, ведь Ты убежище мое в день бедствия.

18 Пусть гонители мои будут посрамлены, но не дай мне посрамиться. Не я, Господи, а они пусть устрашатся. Обрушь на них день бедствия и сокруши их вдвойне.

19 Так говорит мне ГОСПОДЬ: «Иди и возвести перед каждыми воротами Иерусалима и, встав у ворот Сынов Народа, через которые входят и выходят цари иудейские,

20 скажи им: „Слушайте слово ГОСПОДНЕ, цари иудейские и вся Иудея, все жители Иерусалима, входящие через эти ворота!

21 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: „Берегите жизнь свою. Не берите никакой ноши в день субботний, не вносите ее в ворота Иерусалима,

22 не выносите нош из своих жилищ в день субботний и прекращайте работы свои, да будет священным для вас день субботний, как Я заповедал вашим отцам“.

23 Не послушались они, однако, не вняли, а проявили упрямство, решили не слушаться и обличения не принимать.

24 Но теперь, если вы действительно послушаетесь Меня, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — и перестанете входить в городские ворота со своими ношами в день субботний, и станет священным для вас день субботний, откажетесь в этот день от работы,

25 тогда в ворота этого города войдут цари и вельможи, восседающие на троне Давидовом, ездящие на колесницах и на конях, и они сами, и их вельможи, обитатели Иудеи и жители Иерусалима. И город этот будет обитаем вечно.

26 И придут из городов Иудеи, из окрестностей Иерусалима, из земли Вениаминовой, из долины, и с гор, и с юга, и принесут всесожжение и жертвы, хлебные дары и благовония, и благодарственные жертвы в Храме ГОСПОДНЕМ принесут.

27 Если же вы не послушаетесь Меня и не будет священным для вас день субботний, будете брать в этот день ноши и входить с ними в ворота Иерусалима, то Я подожгу ворота его, и огонь поглотит дворцы Иерусалима, и никто его не потушит“».

Chapter 17

1 THE sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron and with the point of a diamond; it is engraved upon the tablets of their heart and upon the horns of their altars;

2 And their idols are under every green tree and upon every high hill and upon the mountains and in the open country.

3 I will give all your riches, all your treasures to the spoil, and that which is throughout your territory, because of your sins.

4 And I will cause you to lose the inheritance which I have given you; and I will cause you to serve your enemies in the land which you do riot know; for you have kindled a fire in my anger, which shall burn for ever.

5 Thus says the LORD, Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes the son of the flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD.

6 For he shall be like a plant in the desert, and shall not see when good comes; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness in a salt land not inhabited.

7 Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is in him.

8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out its roots by the stream, and it shall not be afraid when heat comes, but its leaves shall be green; and shall not be afraid in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

9 The heart is stubborn above all things; who can understand it?

10 I the LORD search the heart and try the reins, and give every man according to his ways and according to the fruits of his doings.

11 Like the partridge that calls to the eggs which she has not hatched, so is he who gets riches and not by right; he shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end he shall be in disgrace.

12 A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.

13 The LORD is the hope of Israel; all who forsake thee shall be ashamed, and those who revolt against thee shall have their names written in the dust, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for thou art my praise.

15 Behold, they say to me, Where is the word of the LORD? Let it come now.

16 As for me, I have not urged thee to bring evil; nor have I desired any man's woeful day; thou knowest; that which came out of my lips was before thy face.

17 Be not a terror to me; but abide with me in the day of trouble.

18 Let them be put to shame who persecute me, but let me not be put to shame; let them be defeated, but let me not be defeated; bring upon them the day of evil, and defeat them with double defeat.

19 Thus said the LORD to me: Go and stand at the public gate by which the kings of Judah enter and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;

20 And say to them, Hear the word of the LORD, you kings of Judah and all the house of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem who enter by these gates.

21 Thus says the LORD: Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day nor bring it in through the gates of Jerusalem;

22 Neither carry a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, nor do any work; but hallow the sabbath day as I commanded your fathers.

23 But they did not obey, neither inclined their ear, but hardened their neck that they, might not heat nor receive instruction.

24 And it shall come to pass if you diligently listen to me, says the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day and do no work on it;

25 Then there shall enter through the gates of this city kings and princes who sit on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their princes, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city shall remain for ever.

26 And the people shall come from the cities of Judah and from the places round about Jerusalem and from the land of Benjamin and from the plain and from the mountains and from the south, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices and incense, and bringing thank offerings to the house of the LORD.

27 But if you do not listen to me to hallow the sabbath day and do not refrain from carrying a burden through the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

2 And their idols are under every green tree and upon every high hill and upon the mountains and in the open country.

3 и горах среди равнины. Все твои богатства и сокровища, Иудея, отдам Я на расхищение вместе с холмами твоими за прегрешения во всех твоих землях.

3 I will give all your riches, all your treasures to the spoil, and that which is throughout your territory, because of your sins.

4 Лишишься ты по своей же вине наследства, которое Я дал тебе. И отдам вас в услужение врагам вашим в стране, которой не знаете, ибо разожгли вы огонь гнева Моего, и пылать он будет вечно».

4 And I will cause you to lose the inheritance which I have given you; and I will cause you to serve your enemies in the land which you do riot know; for you have kindled a fire in my anger, which shall burn for ever.

5 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Проклят тот, кто сердцем отвернулся от Меня, кто надежды свои на человека возлагает и кому плоть смертная опорой служит.

5 Thus says the LORD, Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes the son of the flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD.

8 Будет он подобен дереву, что посажено у воды, что пустило корни свои к потоку. Ему не страшен зной — зеленеет крона его. Нечего ему бояться в год губительной засухи, не перестанет оно плодоносить.

8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out its roots by the stream, and it shall not be afraid when heat comes, but its leaves shall be green; and shall not be afraid in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

9 Коварно сердце человека, крайне испорчено оно. Кто может постичь его?

9 The heart is stubborn above all things; who can understand it?

10 Я, ГОСПОДЬ, читаю мысли, испытываю сердца, чтобы воздать каждому по поступкам, по плодам его дел».

12 Престол славы, вознесенный от начала, — Святилище наше.

12 A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.

13 ГОСПОДЬ — надежда Израиля! Все, кто оставляет Тебя, будут посрамлены. «Те, что отдаляются от Меня, к праху причислены будут — ведь оставили они ГОСПОДА, Источник живой воды».

13 The LORD is the hope of Israel; all who forsake thee shall be ashamed, and those who revolt against thee shall have their names written in the dust, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

14 Исцели меня, ГОСПОДИ, и буду исцелен, спаси меня, и буду спасен, ведь Тобой одним я хвалюсь!

14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for thou art my praise.

15 Вот что они говорят мне: «Где же обещанное в слове ГОСПОДНЕМ? Пусть оно сбудется!»

15 Behold, they say to me, Where is the word of the LORD? Let it come now.

16 Но я не бежал от Тебя, не желая быть пастырем, и не жаждал дня погибельного. Ты знаешь всё, что из уст моих исходило, всё было пред Тобой.

16 As for me, I have not urged thee to bring evil; nor have I desired any man's woeful day; thou knowest; that which came out of my lips was before thy face.

17 Не наводи на меня страх, ведь Ты убежище мое в день бедствия.

17 Be not a terror to me; but abide with me in the day of trouble.

18 Пусть гонители мои будут посрамлены, но не дай мне посрамиться. Не я, Господи, а они пусть устрашатся. Обрушь на них день бедствия и сокруши их вдвойне.

18 Let them be put to shame who persecute me, but let me not be put to shame; let them be defeated, but let me not be defeated; bring upon them the day of evil, and defeat them with double defeat.

19 Так говорит мне ГОСПОДЬ: «Иди и возвести перед каждыми воротами Иерусалима и, встав у ворот Сынов Народа, через которые входят и выходят цари иудейские,

19 Thus said the LORD to me: Go and stand at the public gate by which the kings of Judah enter and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;

20 скажи им: „Слушайте слово ГОСПОДНЕ, цари иудейские и вся Иудея, все жители Иерусалима, входящие через эти ворота!

20 And say to them, Hear the word of the LORD, you kings of Judah and all the house of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem who enter by these gates.

21 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: „Берегите жизнь свою. Не берите никакой ноши в день субботний, не вносите ее в ворота Иерусалима,

21 Thus says the LORD: Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day nor bring it in through the gates of Jerusalem;

22 не выносите нош из своих жилищ в день субботний и прекращайте работы свои, да будет священным для вас день субботний, как Я заповедал вашим отцам“.

22 Neither carry a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, nor do any work; but hallow the sabbath day as I commanded your fathers.

23 Не послушались они, однако, не вняли, а проявили упрямство, решили не слушаться и обличения не принимать.

23 But they did not obey, neither inclined their ear, but hardened their neck that they, might not heat nor receive instruction.

24 Но теперь, если вы действительно послушаетесь Меня, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — и перестанете входить в городские ворота со своими ношами в день субботний, и станет священным для вас день субботний, откажетесь в этот день от работы,

24 And it shall come to pass if you diligently listen to me, says the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day and do no work on it;

25 тогда в ворота этого города войдут цари и вельможи, восседающие на троне Давидовом, ездящие на колесницах и на конях, и они сами, и их вельможи, обитатели Иудеи и жители Иерусалима. И город этот будет обитаем вечно.

25 Then there shall enter through the gates of this city kings and princes who sit on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their princes, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city shall remain for ever.

26 И придут из городов Иудеи, из окрестностей Иерусалима, из земли Вениаминовой, из долины, и с гор, и с юга, и принесут всесожжение и жертвы, хлебные дары и благовония, и благодарственные жертвы в Храме ГОСПОДНЕМ принесут.

26 And the people shall come from the cities of Judah and from the places round about Jerusalem and from the land of Benjamin and from the plain and from the mountains and from the south, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices and incense, and bringing thank offerings to the house of the LORD.
