1 И воспоют в тот день в Иудее такую песнь: «Велик и могуч наш город! Спасение, Богом дарованное, словно стена и вал неприступный.
2 Отворите врата — да войдет в город народ праведный, хранящий верность Господу.
3 Тем, кто тверд в вере, Ты даруешь совершенный покой, ибо на Тебя они уповают.
4 Уповайте на ГОСПОДА всегда, ибо ГОСПОДЬ Бог — вечная твердыня.
5 Низвергает Он обитателей высот и обрушивает город, высоко стоящий, — наземь повергает, и лежит он в пыли,
6 дабы попирали его ноги смертных, ноги бедняков и стопы нищих.
7 Пряма дорога праведника. Ты выводишь его, Боже правый, на дорогу ровную.
8 Идя путем установлений Твоих, мы на Тебя, ГОСПОДИ, уповаем, к имени Твоему и памятованию о Тебе стремятся души наши.
9 Жаждет душа моя Тебя в ночи, взыскует Тебя мой дух сокровенный. Когда Ты вершишь правосудие на земле, живущие в этом мире познают справедливость.
10 Когда же к нечестивцам проявляют милость, они ничему не учатся, им справедливость нипочем: с живущими по правде поступают бесчестно и величия ГОСПОДА не видят.
11 Ты уже занес руку Свою, ГОСПОДИ, а они не видят этого. Да узрят они к посрамлению своему ревность Твою о народе Своем, и да пожрет их огонь, врагам Твоим предназначенный!
12 Только Ты, ГОСПОДИ, даруешь нам мир. Всё достигнутое нами Ты свершил за нас.
13 ГОСПОДИ, Боже наш, управляли нами и другие властители, но только Твое имя мы чтим.
14 Мертвы они и не оживут уже, среди теней умерших они, не встанут более. Ты наказал и истребил их, и всякий след и память о них уничтожил.
15 Но народ Свой, ГОСПОДИ, Ты умножил, славу он Тебе воздает, потому что Ты умножил его и расширил границы страны!
16 В бедствии народ искал Тебя, ГОСПОДИ. Когда постигает его наказание Твое, люди едва могут шептать молитвы.
17 Как роженица в муках, готовясь разрешиться от бремени, стонет и испускает вопли, так и мы стенали пред Тобою, ГОСПОДИ.
18 Мы носили во чреве своем, мучились схватками, а родили лишь ветер, не произвели никого в этот мир и никого не спасли на земле.
19 Но все усопшие Твои оживут, тела умерших восстанут! И вы, пребывающие во прахе, — пробудитесь и ликуйте! Оросит Господь землю утренней росой, и земля отдаст сошедших в могилу!»
20 Ступай же, народ мой, возвратись домой, в жилища свои, затвори за собою двери, укройся и пережди немного — пока не утихнет гнев Его.
21 Вот уже оставляет ГОСПОДЬ место пребывания Своего, чтобы воздать живущим на земле за беззакония их, и тогда явит земля кровь пролитую, не скроет уже убитых на ней.

19 Но все усопшие Твои оживут, тела умерших восстанут! И вы, пребывающие во прахе, — пробудитесь и ликуйте! Оросит Господь землю утренней росой, и земля отдаст сошедших в могилу!»
