Chapter 12

1 AND Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

2 And they said, Has the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? Has he not spoken by us also? And the LORD heard it.

3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men that were upon the face of the earth.)

4 And the LORD spoke suddenly to Moses and to Aaron and to Miriam, Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of the congregation. And the three of them came out.

5 And the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forth.

6 And the LORD said to them, Hear now my words: If you are prophets, I the LORD will reveal myself to you in a vision and will speak to you in a dream.

7 Not so with my servant Moses, who is faithful in all my house.

8 With him I will speak mouth to mouth, in a vision, and not in similes; and the glory of the LORD has he seen: why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow; and when Aaron turned toward Miriam, behold, she was leprous;

11 Then Aaron said to Moses, Oh, my lord, I beseech you, do not lay the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly and wherein we have sinned.

12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb.

13 And Moses cried to the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

14 And the LORD said to Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her come in again.

15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days; and the people did not journey till Miriam came in again.

16 And after that the people journeyed from Hazeroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.

7 но не так с рабом5650 Моим Моисеем,4872 — он верен539 во всем дому1004 Моем:

8 устами6310 к устам6310 говорю1696 Я с ним, и явно,4758 а не в гаданиях,2420 и образ8544 Господа3068 он видит;5027 как же вы не убоялись3372 упрекать1696 раба5650 Моего, Моисея?4872

9 И воспламенился2734 гнев639 Господа3068 на них, и Он отошел.3212

12 не попусти, чтоб она была,49944191 как мертворожденный49944191 младенец, у которого, когда он выходит3318 из чрева7358 матери517 своей, истлела398 уже половина2677 тела.1320

13 И возопил6817 Моисей4872 к Господу,3068 говоря:559 Боже,410 исцели7495 ее!

14 И сказал559 Господь3068 Моисею:4872 если бы отец1 ее плюнул3417 ей в лице,6440 то не должна ли была3637 бы она стыдиться3637 семь7651 дней?3117 итак пусть будет5462 она в заключении5462 семь7651 дней3117 вне2351 стана,4264 а после310 опять622 возвратится.622

10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow; and when Aaron turned toward Miriam, behold, she was leprous;
