Chapter 12

1 AND Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

2 And they said, Has the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? Has he not spoken by us also? And the LORD heard it.

3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men that were upon the face of the earth.)

4 And the LORD spoke suddenly to Moses and to Aaron and to Miriam, Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of the congregation. And the three of them came out.

5 And the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forth.

6 And the LORD said to them, Hear now my words: If you are prophets, I the LORD will reveal myself to you in a vision and will speak to you in a dream.

7 Not so with my servant Moses, who is faithful in all my house.

8 With him I will speak mouth to mouth, in a vision, and not in similes; and the glory of the LORD has he seen: why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow; and when Aaron turned toward Miriam, behold, she was leprous;

11 Then Aaron said to Moses, Oh, my lord, I beseech you, do not lay the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly and wherein we have sinned.

12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb.

13 And Moses cried to the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

14 And the LORD said to Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her come in again.

15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days; and the people did not journey till Miriam came in again.

16 And after that the people journeyed from Hazeroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.

5 Da kam3381 der HErr3068 hernieder in der Wolkensäule5982 und trat5975 in der Hütte168 Tür6607 und rief7121 Aaron175 und Mirjam4813; und die beiden8147 gingen3318 hinaus.

6 Und er sprach559: Höret8085 meine Worte1697! Ist jemand unter euch ein Prophet5030 des HErrn3068, dem will ich mich kundmachen3045 in einem Gesicht4759, oder will mit ihm reden1696 in einem Traum2472.

7 Aber nicht also mein Knecht5650 Mose4872, der in meinem ganzen Hause1004 treu ist539.

8 Mündlich6310 rede1696 ich mit ihm, und er siehet den HErrn3068 in seiner Gestalt4758, nicht5027 durch dunkle Worte2420 oder Gleichnis8544. Warum habt6310 ihr euch3372 denn nicht gefürchtet, wider meinen Knecht5650 Mose4872 zu reden1696?

9 Und der Zorn639 des HErrn3068 ergrimmete über sie und wandte sich3212 weg.

10 Dazu die Wolke6051 wich auch von der Hütte168. Und siehe, da war Mirjam4813 aussätzig6879 wie der Schnee7950. Und Aaron175 wandte sich6437 zu Mirjam4813 und wird gewahr, daß sie5493 aussätzig6879 ist,

11 und175 sprach559 zu Mose4872: Ach994, mein Herr113, laß7896 die Sünde2403 nicht auf uns bleiben, damit wir närrisch getan2973 und uns versündiget haben2398,

12 daß diese nicht sei wie ein Totes4191, das von3318 seiner Mutter517 Leib7358 kommt; es hat schon die Hälfte2677 ihres Fleisches1320 gefressen398.

13 Mose4872 aber schrie6817 zu dem HErrn3068 und sprach559: Ach GOtt410, heile7495 sie!

14 Der HErr3068 sprach559 zu5462 Mose4872: Wenn ihr Vater1 ihr ins Angesicht6440 gespeiet hätte3417, sollte310 sie nicht sieben7651 Tage3117 sich schämen3637? Laß sie verschließen sieben7651 Tage3117 außer dem Lager4264, danach laß sie wieder aufnehmen622.

15 Also ward622 Mirjam4813 sieben7651 Tage3117 verschlossen5462 außer dem Lager4264. Und das Volk5971 zog5265 nicht fürder, bis Mirjam4813 aufgenommen ward.

16 Dananch zog5265 das Volk5971 von Hazeroth2698 und310 lagerte sich2583 in die Wüste4057 Paran.
