Chapter 34

1 AND the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Command the children of Israel and say to them, When you enter the land of Canaan (this is the land which shall be divided to you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with its territories),

3 Then your south boundary shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the border of Edom, and your southern border shall be from the end of the salt sea eastward;

4 And your boundary shall turn from the south to the ascent of Sepharvim, and pass on to Zin; and the limits thereof shall be from the south of Rakim-gia, and shall go on to Hazar-addar, and pass on to Azmon;

5 And the boundary shall turn from Azmon to the river of Egypt, and the limits thereof shall be at the sea.

6 And as for the western border, you shall have the Great Sea and its coasts; this shall be your western border.

7 And this shall be your northern border: from the Great Sea you shall mark out for you a boundary to mount Hor;

8 From mount Hor you shall mark out the boundary to the entrance of Hamath; and the limits of the border shall be at Zedad;

9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and its end shall be at Hazar-enan; these shall be your northern boundaries.

10 And you shall mark out your eastern boundary from Hazar-enan to Shepham;

11 And the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Diblath, on the east side of Ain; and the boundary shall descend and shall reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;

12 And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and its limits shall be at the salt sea; this shall be your land with the borders thereof round about.

13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which you shall divide by lots, which the LORD has commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe;

14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, and the half tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance;

15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.

16 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

17 These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.

18 And you shall take one prince of every tribe to divide the land to you.

19 And these are the names of the chiefs: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jophaniah.

20 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shelmuel the son of Ammihud.

21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Eldad the son of Chislon.

22 Of the tribe of Dan, Bakki the son of Jogli.

23 Of the tribe of Joseph, of the tribe of Manasseh, Nahlael the son of Ephod.

24 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiptan.

25 Of the tribe of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

26 Of the tribe of Issachar, Petael the son of Azzor.

27 Of the tribe of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

28 Of the tribe of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

29 These are they whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance to the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

2 «Передай израильтянам Мой наказ: когда войдёте в Ханаан, вы победите эту страну и завладеете всей Ханаанской землёй.

3 На юге вы завладеете частью пустыни Син у Едома, ваша южная граница будет начинаться у южной окраины Мёртвого моря.

4 Она будет проходить через перевал Скорпиона, через пустыню Син до Кадес-Варны, затем протянется через Гацар-Аддар и через Ацмон.

5 От Ацмона граница пойдёт до реки Египет и будет заканчиваться у Средиземного моря.

6 Вашей западной границей будет Средиземное море.

7 Ваша северная граница будет начинаться у Средиземного моря и продолжаться до горы Ор.

8 От горы Ор она будет идти к Лево-Емафу, а оттуда к Цедаду.

9 Затем эта граница пойдёт к Цифрону до Гацар-Енана. Это будет ваша северная граница.

10 Ваша восточная граница будет начинаться у Гацар-Енана и доходить до Шефама.

11 От Шефама граница пройдёт с восточной стороны Аина к Ривле, вдоль холмов Галилейского озера.

12 Затем граница будет идти вдоль реки Иордан до Мёртвого моря. Вот границы вашей страны».

13 Моисей дал израильтянам такой наказ: «Вот земля, которую вы получите. Вы будете бросать жребий, чтобы разделить землю между девятью родами и половиной рода Манассии,

14 так как род Рувима и род Гада и половина рода Манассии уже взяли себе землю.

15 Эти два рода и половина рода Манассии взяли себе землю у Иерихона, к востоку от реки Иордан».

16 Затем Господь обратился к Моисею с такими словами:

17 «Вот кто поможет тебе разделить страну: священник Елеазар, Иисус, сын Навина,

18 и главы всех родов, по одному от каждого рода, — эти люди разделят страну.

19 Вот имена глав родов: от рода Иуды — Халев, сын Иефоннии;

20 от рода Симеона — Самуил, сын Аммиуда;

21 от рода Вениамина — Елидад, сын Кислона;

22 от рода Дана — Буккий, сын Иоглии;

23 от потомков Иосифа; от рода Манассии — Ханниил, сын Ефода;

24 от рода Ефрема — Кемуил, сын Шифтана;

25 от рода Завулона — Елицафан, сын Фарнака;

26 от рода Иссахара — Фалтиил, сын Аззана;

27 от рода Асира — Ахиуд, сын Шеломия;

28 от рода Неффалима — Педаил, сын Аммиуда».

29 Вот кого Господь избрал поделить Ханаанскую землю между израильским народом.

7 And this shall be your northern border: from the Great Sea you shall mark out for you a boundary to mount Hor;

7 Ваша северная граница будет начинаться у Средиземного моря и продолжаться до горы Ор.

8 From mount Hor you shall mark out the boundary to the entrance of Hamath; and the limits of the border shall be at Zedad;

8 От горы Ор она будет идти к Лево-Емафу, а оттуда к Цедаду.

9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and its end shall be at Hazar-enan; these shall be your northern boundaries.

9 Затем эта граница пойдёт к Цифрону до Гацар-Енана. Это будет ваша северная граница.

10 And you shall mark out your eastern boundary from Hazar-enan to Shepham;

10 Ваша восточная граница будет начинаться у Гацар-Енана и доходить до Шефама.

11 And the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Diblath, on the east side of Ain; and the boundary shall descend and shall reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;

11 От Шефама граница пройдёт с восточной стороны Аина к Ривле, вдоль холмов Галилейского озера.

12 And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and its limits shall be at the salt sea; this shall be your land with the borders thereof round about.

12 Затем граница будет идти вдоль реки Иордан до Мёртвого моря. Вот границы вашей страны».

13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which you shall divide by lots, which the LORD has commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe;

13 Моисей дал израильтянам такой наказ: «Вот земля, которую вы получите. Вы будете бросать жребий, чтобы разделить землю между девятью родами и половиной рода Манассии,

14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, and the half tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance;

15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.

16 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
