Chapter 34

1 AND the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Command the children of Israel and say to them, When you enter the land of Canaan (this is the land which shall be divided to you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with its territories),

3 Then your south boundary shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the border of Edom, and your southern border shall be from the end of the salt sea eastward;

4 And your boundary shall turn from the south to the ascent of Sepharvim, and pass on to Zin; and the limits thereof shall be from the south of Rakim-gia, and shall go on to Hazar-addar, and pass on to Azmon;

5 And the boundary shall turn from Azmon to the river of Egypt, and the limits thereof shall be at the sea.

6 And as for the western border, you shall have the Great Sea and its coasts; this shall be your western border.

7 And this shall be your northern border: from the Great Sea you shall mark out for you a boundary to mount Hor;

8 From mount Hor you shall mark out the boundary to the entrance of Hamath; and the limits of the border shall be at Zedad;

9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and its end shall be at Hazar-enan; these shall be your northern boundaries.

10 And you shall mark out your eastern boundary from Hazar-enan to Shepham;

11 And the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Diblath, on the east side of Ain; and the boundary shall descend and shall reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;

12 And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and its limits shall be at the salt sea; this shall be your land with the borders thereof round about.

13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which you shall divide by lots, which the LORD has commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe;

14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, and the half tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance;

15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.

16 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

17 These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.

18 And you shall take one prince of every tribe to divide the land to you.

19 And these are the names of the chiefs: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jophaniah.

20 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shelmuel the son of Ammihud.

21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Eldad the son of Chislon.

22 Of the tribe of Dan, Bakki the son of Jogli.

23 Of the tribe of Joseph, of the tribe of Manasseh, Nahlael the son of Ephod.

24 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiptan.

25 Of the tribe of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

26 Of the tribe of Issachar, Petael the son of Azzor.

27 Of the tribe of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

28 Of the tribe of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

29 These are they whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance to the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

1 ГОСПОДЬ повелел Моисею

2 дать такие указания сынам Израилевым: «Когда войдете в землю ханаанскую (в землю, что достанется вам в наследство, в Ханаан с его границами),

3 южная окраина ваших владений будет простираться от пустыни Цин вдоль Эдома. Граница здесь пойдет от южного берега Соленого моря на восток;

4 потом повернет она южнее, к возвышенности Акраббим, и пересечет пустыню Цин, пройдет с юга от Кадеш-Барнеа и выйдет к Хацар-Аддару и от него — к Ацмону.

5 От Ацмона повернет она к руслу реки Египетской и дойдет до Великого моря.

6 Само это море будет границей ваших земель на западе.

7 Отметьте свою северную границу: она протянется от того же Великого моря к горе Хор,

8 а от горы Хор до Хамата. Затем граница пойдет до Цедада,

9 выйдет к Зифрону и закончится у Хацар-Энана. Вот такой будет ваша северная граница.

10 На востоке проведите границу от Хацар-Энана к Шефаме.

11 И от Шефамы эта граница пройдет к Харивле, что восточнее Аина, а потом протянется вниз, пока не достигнет берега озера Киннерет на востоке,

12 затем пойдет вдоль Иордана и завершится у Соленого моря. Вот границы вокруг ваших земель».

13 После того Моисей дал такие указания сынам Израилевым: «Вот это и есть та земля, которую вы должны поделить по жребию как свое наследство. ГОСПОДЬ повелел дать ее девяти с половиной коленам,

14 потому что потомки колена Рувима, потомки колена Гада и половина колена Манассии уже обрели свое наследство.

15 Они получили свою часть с восточной стороны Иордана, напротив Иерихона».

16 ГОСПОДЬ сказал Моисею:

17 «Вот имена тех мужей, которые должны будут разделить для вас землю на отдельные наследственные владения: это Элеазар-священник и Иисус Навин,

18 а в помощь себе при разделе земли пусть пригласят они вождей от каждого колена:

19 от колена Иуды это будет Халев, сын Ефуннэ;

20 от колена потомков Симеона — Шемуэль, сын Аммихуда;

21 от колена Вениамина — Элидад, сын Кислона;

22 от колена потомков Дана — вождь Букки, сын Йогли;

23 от потомков Иосифа: от колена потомков Манассии — вождь Ханниэль, сын Эфода,

24 от колена потомков Ефрема — вождь Кемуэль, сын Шифтана;

25 от колена потомков Завулона — Элицафан, сын Парнаха;

26 от колена потомков Иссахара — вождь Палтиэль, сын Аззана;

27 от колена потомков Асира — вождь Ахихуд, сын Шеломи;

28 и от колена потомков Неффалима — вождь Педаэль, сын Аммихуда».

29 Вот этим людям повелел ГОСПОДЬ распределить среди сынов Израилевых наследие их в земле ханаанской.

5 От Ацмона повернет она к руслу реки Египетской и дойдет до Великого моря.

6 And as for the western border, you shall have the Great Sea and its coasts; this shall be your western border.

6 Само это море будет границей ваших земель на западе.

7 And this shall be your northern border: from the Great Sea you shall mark out for you a boundary to mount Hor;

7 Отметьте свою северную границу: она протянется от того же Великого моря к горе Хор,

8 From mount Hor you shall mark out the boundary to the entrance of Hamath; and the limits of the border shall be at Zedad;

8 а от горы Хор до Хамата. Затем граница пойдет до Цедада,

9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and its end shall be at Hazar-enan; these shall be your northern boundaries.

9 выйдет к Зифрону и закончится у Хацар-Энана. Вот такой будет ваша северная граница.

10 And you shall mark out your eastern boundary from Hazar-enan to Shepham;

10 На востоке проведите границу от Хацар-Энана к Шефаме.

11 And the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Diblath, on the east side of Ain; and the boundary shall descend and shall reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;

11 И от Шефамы эта граница пройдет к Харивле, что восточнее Аина, а потом протянется вниз, пока не достигнет берега озера Киннерет на востоке,

12 затем пойдет вдоль Иордана и завершится у Соленого моря. Вот границы вокруг ваших земель».
