Chapter 27

1 IN the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 Thus says the LORD to me: Make yourself yokes and bands, and put them on your neck,

3 And send them to the king of Edom, the king of Moab, the king of the Ammonites, the king of Tyre, and the king of Zidon by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah;

4 And command them to say to their masters, Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Thus shall you say to your masters:

5 I have made the earth and the men and the beasts that are upon the ground by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and I have given it to whom it seemed good in my sight.

6 And now I have given all these lands to serve Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and I have given him also the beasts of the field to serve him.

7 And all nations shall serve him and his son and his son's son, until the very time of his land shall come; many nations and great kings shall serve him.

8 And the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon and that will not put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, I will punish that nation with the sword and with famine, and with pestilence, says the LORD, until I have delivered them into his hand.

9 Therefore do not listen to your false prophets nor to your diviners nor to your dreamers nor to your enchanters nor to your magicians, who say to you, You shall not serve the king of Babylon;

10 For it is a lie which they are prophesying to you, that I may drive you out from your land, and that I should drive you out, and you should perish.

11 But the nation that brings its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serves him, I will leave on its own land, says the LORD; and they shall till it and dwell in it.

12 I spoke also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people and live;

13 So that you may not die, you and your people, by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, according to that which the LORD has spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon.

14 Therefore do not listen to the words of the false prophets who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.

15 For I have not sent them, says the LORD; yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that you might perish, you and the prophets who prophesy to you.

16 I spoke also to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus says the LORD: Do not hearken to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying. Behold, the vessels of the LORD'S house shall now shortly be brought back from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.

17 Do not listen to them, says the LORD, but serve the king of Babylon and live, that this city might not become a desolation.

18 But if they are prophets and the word of the LORD is with them, then let them beseech the LORD of hosts that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD and in the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem be not taken to Babylon.

19 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the pillars and concerning the sea and concerning the bases and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,

20 Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take away, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon and all the princes of Judah and Jerusalem;

21 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of the LORD and in the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem:

22 They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they remain until the day when I visit them, says the LORD; then I will bring them up and restore them to this place.

1 В начале правления Седекии, сына Иосии, царя иудейского, было Иеремии слово от ГОСПОДА.

2 Так сказал мне ГОСПОДЬ: «Сделай ярмо, приладь к нему ремни и надень его себе на шею.

3 Через послов, что пришли в Иерусалим к Седекии, царю иудейскому, передай весть царям Эдома, Моава, Аммона и царям Тира и Сидона.

4 Поручи послам возвестить своим владыкам: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля. Скажите владыкам вашим:

5 „Я — Тот, Кто силой Своей великой и рукой простертой сотворил землю, людей и животных, что обитают на ней, и отдаю Я ее во владение тем, кому пожелаю.

6 Ныне же Я отдаю все эти земли в руки Навуходоносора, царя вавилонского, слуги Моего, и даже диких зверей Я даю ему в услужение.

7 Все народы будут служить царю этому, и сыну его, и внукам до тех пор, пока не придет черед для его страны; тогда и его поработят многочисленные народы, цари великие.

8 Но если тот или иной народ или царство не станет служить Навуходоносору, царю вавилонскому, и не подставит своей шеи под ярмо царя вавилонского, Я буду наказывать тот народ мечом, голодом и моровым поветрием, — таково слово ГОСПОДА, — пока не истреблю их полностью рукой вавилонского царя.

9 Вы же не слушайте ни пророков ваших, ни гадателей, ни сновидцев, ни прорицателей, ни колдунов, ни заклинателей, которые говорят вам: „Вы не будете служить царю вавилонскому!“

10 Ибо обманывают они вас своими пророчествами и тем обрекают на изгнание с земель ваших, потому Я должен буду изгнать вас — и вы погибнете.

11 Но если какой народ подставит шею под ярмо царя вавилонского и станет служить ему, Я оставлю тот народ на его земле, и будет он ее возделывать и жить на ней“, — таково слово ГОСПОДА».

12 Всё это я возвестил и Седекии, царю иудейскому, сказав ему: «Подставьте шею под ярмо царя вавилонского, покоритесь ему и его народу — и будете живы.

13 Зачем тебе обрекать себя и свой народ на смерть от меча, голода и морового поветрия, ведь ГОСПОДЬ предостерегал, что ни один народ не избежит гибели, если откажется служить царю вавилонскому?

14 И не слушайте пророков, которые говорят вам: „Вы не будете служить царю вавилонскому!“ — потому что они возвещают вам ложь.

15 „Я не посылал их, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — но они, прикрываясь именем Моим, пророчествуют ложь, обрекая вас на изгнание. Ибо тогда Я должен буду изгнать вас, и погибнете вы и те пророки, что вам пророчествуют“».

16 Священникам и всему народу этому я сказал: «Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: „Не слушайте пророков, которые предрекают вам: „Уже недолго осталось ждать, и священные сосуды Храма ГОСПОДНЯ будут возвращены из Вавилона“, ибо лживо это пророчество.

17 Не слушайте их. Служите царю вавилонскому — и будете живы. Зачем обрекать этот город на разрушение?

18 Но если они — пророки истинные и слово ГОСПОДНЕ пребывает с ними, пусть обратятся к ГОСПОДУ Воинств, чтобы утварь, что осталась еще в Храме ГОСПОДНЕМ и во дворце царя иудейского, не была вывезена в Вавилон“.

19 Но вот что говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств о столбах, о емкости для воды, называемой „морем“, о подставках и прочей утвари, оставшейся в Иерусалиме,

20 которую Навуходоносор, царь вавилонский, не забрал с собой, когда уводил в плен из Иерусалима в Вавилон Иехонию, сына Иоакима, царя иудейского, и всех знатных из Иудеи и Иерусалима.

21 Вот что ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля, говорит о прочей утвари, оставшейся в Храме ГОСПОДНЕМ, и во дворце царя иудейского, и в Иерусалиме:

22 „Будет она вывезена в Вавилон и останется там до тех пор, пока Я не приду за ней, — таково слово ГОСПОДА, — лишь тогда Я заберу ее и верну на прежнее место“».

1 В начале правления Седекии, сына Иосии, царя иудейского, было Иеремии слово от ГОСПОДА.

2 Thus says the LORD to me: Make yourself yokes and bands, and put them on your neck,

2 Так сказал мне ГОСПОДЬ: «Сделай ярмо, приладь к нему ремни и надень его себе на шею.

3 And send them to the king of Edom, the king of Moab, the king of the Ammonites, the king of Tyre, and the king of Zidon by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah;

3 Через послов, что пришли в Иерусалим к Седекии, царю иудейскому, передай весть царям Эдома, Моава, Аммона и царям Тира и Сидона.

4 And command them to say to their masters, Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Thus shall you say to your masters:

4 Поручи послам возвестить своим владыкам: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля. Скажите владыкам вашим:

5 I have made the earth and the men and the beasts that are upon the ground by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and I have given it to whom it seemed good in my sight.

5 „Я — Тот, Кто силой Своей великой и рукой простертой сотворил землю, людей и животных, что обитают на ней, и отдаю Я ее во владение тем, кому пожелаю.

6 And now I have given all these lands to serve Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and I have given him also the beasts of the field to serve him.

6 Ныне же Я отдаю все эти земли в руки Навуходоносора, царя вавилонского, слуги Моего, и даже диких зверей Я даю ему в услужение.

7 And all nations shall serve him and his son and his son's son, until the very time of his land shall come; many nations and great kings shall serve him.

7 Все народы будут служить царю этому, и сыну его, и внукам до тех пор, пока не придет черед для его страны; тогда и его поработят многочисленные народы, цари великие.

8 And the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon and that will not put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, I will punish that nation with the sword and with famine, and with pestilence, says the LORD, until I have delivered them into his hand.

8 Но если тот или иной народ или царство не станет служить Навуходоносору, царю вавилонскому, и не подставит своей шеи под ярмо царя вавилонского, Я буду наказывать тот народ мечом, голодом и моровым поветрием, — таково слово ГОСПОДА, — пока не истреблю их полностью рукой вавилонского царя.

9 Therefore do not listen to your false prophets nor to your diviners nor to your dreamers nor to your enchanters nor to your magicians, who say to you, You shall not serve the king of Babylon;

9 Вы же не слушайте ни пророков ваших, ни гадателей, ни сновидцев, ни прорицателей, ни колдунов, ни заклинателей, которые говорят вам: „Вы не будете служить царю вавилонскому!“

10 For it is a lie which they are prophesying to you, that I may drive you out from your land, and that I should drive you out, and you should perish.

10 Ибо обманывают они вас своими пророчествами и тем обрекают на изгнание с земель ваших, потому Я должен буду изгнать вас — и вы погибнете.

11 But the nation that brings its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serves him, I will leave on its own land, says the LORD; and they shall till it and dwell in it.

11 Но если какой народ подставит шею под ярмо царя вавилонского и станет служить ему, Я оставлю тот народ на его земле, и будет он ее возделывать и жить на ней“, — таково слово ГОСПОДА».

12 I spoke also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people and live;

12 Всё это я возвестил и Седекии, царю иудейскому, сказав ему: «Подставьте шею под ярмо царя вавилонского, покоритесь ему и его народу — и будете живы.

13 So that you may not die, you and your people, by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, according to that which the LORD has spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon.

13 Зачем тебе обрекать себя и свой народ на смерть от меча, голода и морового поветрия, ведь ГОСПОДЬ предостерегал, что ни один народ не избежит гибели, если откажется служить царю вавилонскому?

14 Therefore do not listen to the words of the false prophets who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.

14 И не слушайте пророков, которые говорят вам: „Вы не будете служить царю вавилонскому!“ — потому что они возвещают вам ложь.

15 For I have not sent them, says the LORD; yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that you might perish, you and the prophets who prophesy to you.

15 „Я не посылал их, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — но они, прикрываясь именем Моим, пророчествуют ложь, обрекая вас на изгнание. Ибо тогда Я должен буду изгнать вас, и погибнете вы и те пророки, что вам пророчествуют“».

16 I spoke also to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus says the LORD: Do not hearken to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying. Behold, the vessels of the LORD'S house shall now shortly be brought back from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.

16 Священникам и всему народу этому я сказал: «Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: „Не слушайте пророков, которые предрекают вам: „Уже недолго осталось ждать, и священные сосуды Храма ГОСПОДНЯ будут возвращены из Вавилона“, ибо лживо это пророчество.

17 Do not listen to them, says the LORD, but serve the king of Babylon and live, that this city might not become a desolation.

17 Не слушайте их. Служите царю вавилонскому — и будете живы. Зачем обрекать этот город на разрушение?

18 But if they are prophets and the word of the LORD is with them, then let them beseech the LORD of hosts that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD and in the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem be not taken to Babylon.

18 Но если они — пророки истинные и слово ГОСПОДНЕ пребывает с ними, пусть обратятся к ГОСПОДУ Воинств, чтобы утварь, что осталась еще в Храме ГОСПОДНЕМ и во дворце царя иудейского, не была вывезена в Вавилон“.

21 Вот что ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля, говорит о прочей утвари, оставшейся в Храме ГОСПОДНЕМ, и во дворце царя иудейского, и в Иерусалиме:
