1 In the year8141 that Tartan8661 came935 to Ashdod,795 (when Sargon5623 the king4428 of Assyria804 sent7971 him,) and fought3898 against Ashdod,795 and took3920 it;

2 At the same1931 time6256 spoke1696 the LORD3068 by Isaiah3470 the son1121 of Amoz,531 saying,559 Go3212 and loose6605 the sackcloth8242 from off5921 your loins,4975 and put2502 off your shoe5275 from your foot.7272 And he did6213 so,3651 walking1980 naked6174 and barefoot.3182

3 And the LORD3068 said,559 Like as my servant5650 Isaiah3470 has walked1980 naked6174 and barefoot3182 three7969 years8141 for a sign226 and wonder4159 on Egypt4714 and on Ethiopia;3568

4 So3651 shall the king4428 of Assyria804 lead5090 away the Egyptians4714 prisoners,7628 and the Ethiopians3569 captives,1546 young5288 and old,2205 naked6174 and barefoot,3182 even with their buttocks8357 uncovered,2834 to the shame6172 of Egypt.4714

5 And they shall be afraid2865 and ashamed954 of Ethiopia3568 their expectation,4007 and of Egypt4714 their glory.8597

6 And the inhabitant3427 of this2088 isle339 shall say559 in that day,3117 Behold,2009 such3541 is our expectation,4007 where834 8033 we flee5127 for help5833 to be delivered5337 from the king4428 of Assyria:804 and how349 shall we escape?4422

1 Саргон был царём Ассирии, который послал Тартана воевать против Азота, и Тартан пришёл и пленил город.

2 В то время Господь говорил через Исаию, сына Амоса. Господь сказал: «Пойди, сними с себя одежды печали и сбрось с ног твоих сандалии». Исаия разделся и разулся, повинуясь Господу.

3 Тогда Господь сказал: «Исаия не носил одежды и обуви на протяжении трёх лет, и это являлось знаком для Египта и Эфиопии.

4 Царь Ассирии победит Египет и Эфиопию, и Ассирия заберёт пленников и уведёт их из страны. Старые и молодые пойдут нагими и босыми из Египта.

5 Ждущие помощи от Эфиопии её не дождутся, и восхищавшиеся славой Египта устыдятся».

6 И скажут тогда живущие у моря: «Мы доверяли тем странам, надеялись на их помощь, бежали к ним, ища спасения от Ассирии, но посмотрите, они пленены! И если они попали в плен, то как же нам тогда спастись?!»

4 Царь Ассирии победит Египет и Эфиопию, и Ассирия заберёт пленников и уведёт их из страны. Старые и молодые пойдут нагими и босыми из Египта.

5 And they shall be afraid2865 and ashamed954 of Ethiopia3568 their expectation,4007 and of Egypt4714 their glory.8597

5 Ждущие помощи от Эфиопии её не дождутся, и восхищавшиеся славой Египта устыдятся».
