1 And they took their journey5265 from Elim,362 and all3605 the congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel3478 came935 to the wilderness4057 of Sin,5512 which834 is between996 Elim362 and Sinai,5514 on the fifteenth2568 6240 day3117 of the second8145 month2320 after their departing3318 out of the land776 of Egypt.4714

2 And the whole3605 congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel3478 murmured3885 against5921 Moses4872 and Aaron175 in the wilderness:4057

3 And the children1121 of Israel3478 said559 to them, Would4310 5414 to God we had died4191 by the hand3027 of the LORD3068 in the land776 of Egypt,4714 when we sat3427 by the flesh1320 pots,5518 and when we did eat398 bread3899 to the full;7648 for you have brought3318 us forth3318 into413 this2088 wilderness,4057 to kill4191 this2088 whole854 3605 assembly6951 with hunger.7457

4 Then said559 the LORD3068 to Moses,4872 Behold,2005 I will rain4305 bread3899 from heaven8064 for you; and the people5971 shall go3318 out and gather3950 a certain1697 rate1697 every day,3117 that I may prove5254 them, whether they will walk3212 in my law,8451 or no.3808

5 And it shall come1961 to pass, that on the sixth8345 day3117 they shall prepare3559 that which834 they bring935 in; and it shall be twice4932 as much834 as they gather3950 daily.3117

6 And Moses4872 and Aaron175 said559 to all3605 the children1121 of Israel,3478 At even,6153 then you shall know3045 that the LORD3068 has brought3318 you out from the land776 of Egypt:4714

7 And in the morning,1242 then you shall see7200 the glory3519 of the LORD;3068 for that he hears8085 your murmurings8519 against5921 the LORD:3068 and what4100 are we, that you murmur3885 against5921 us?

8 And Moses4872 said,559 This shall be, when the LORD3068 shall give5414 you in the evening6153 flesh1320 to eat,398 and in the morning1242 bread3899 to the full;7646 for that the LORD3068 hears8085 your murmurings8519 which834 you murmur3885 against5921 him: and what4100 are we? your murmurings8519 are not against5921 us, but against5921 the LORD.3068

9 And Moses4872 spoke559 to Aaron,175 Say559 to all3605 the congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 Come7126 near7126 before6440 the LORD:3068 for he has heard8085 your murmurings.8519

10 And it came1961 to pass, as Aaron175 spoke1696 to the whole3605 congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 that they looked6437 toward413 the wilderness,4057 and, behold,2009 the glory3519 of the LORD3068 appeared7200 in the cloud.6051

11 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses,4872 saying,559

12 I have heard8085 the murmurings8519 of the children1121 of Israel:3478 speak1696 to them, saying,559 At996 even6153 you shall eat398 flesh,1320 and in the morning1242 you shall be filled7646 with bread;3899 and you shall know3045 that I am the LORD3068 your God.430

13 And it came1961 to pass, that at even6153 the quails7958 came5927 up, and covered3680 the camp:4264 and in the morning1242 the dew2919 lay7902 round5439 about the host.4264

14 And when the dew2919 that lay7902 was gone5927 up, behold,2009 on the face6440 of the wilderness4057 there lay a small1851 round2636 thing, as small1851 as the hoar3713 frost3713 on5921 the ground.776

15 And when the children1121 of Israel3478 saw7200 it, they said559 one376 to another,251 It is manna:4478 for they knew3045 not what4100 it was. And Moses4872 said559 to them, This1931 is the bread3899 which834 the LORD3068 has given5414 you to eat.402

16 This2088 is the thing1697 which834 the LORD3068 has commanded,6680 Gather3950 of it every man376 according6310 to his eating,400 an omer6016 for every man,1538 according to the number4557 of your persons;5315 take3947 you every man376 for them which834 are in his tents.168

17 And the children of Israel3478 did6213 so,3651 and gathered,3950 some more,7227 some less.4591

18 And when they did mete4058 it with an omer,6016 he that gathered much7235 had nothing3808 over,5736 and he that gathered little4591 had no3808 lack;2637 they gathered3950 every man376 according6310 to his eating.400

19 And Moses4872 said,559 Let no408 man376 leave3498 of it till5704 the morning.1242

20 Notwithstanding they listened8085 not to Moses;4872 but some582 of them left3498 of it until5704 the morning,1242 and it bred7311 worms,8438 and stank:887 and Moses4872 was wroth7107 with them.

21 And they gathered3950 it every morning,1242 every man376 according6310 to his eating:400 and when the sun8121 waxed hot,2552 it melted.4549

22 And it came1961 to pass, that on the sixth8345 day3117 they gathered3950 twice4932 as much bread,3899 two8147 omers6016 for one259 man: and all3605 the rulers5387 of the congregation5712 came935 and told5046 Moses.4872

23 And he said559 to them, This1931 is that which834 the LORD3068 has said,1696 To morrow4279 is the rest7677 of the holy6944 sabbath7676 to the LORD:3068 bake644 that which834 you will bake644 to day, and seethe1310 that you will seethe;1310 and that which remains5736 over5736 lay5117 up for you to be kept4931 until5704 the morning.1242

24 And they laid5117 it up till5704 the morning,1242 as Moses4872 bade:6680 and it did not stink,887 neither3808 was there any worm7415 therein.

25 And Moses4872 said,559 Eat398 that to day;3117 for to day3117 is a sabbath7676 to the LORD:3068 to day3117 you shall not find4672 it in the field.7704

26 Six8337 days3117 you shall gather3950 it; but on the seventh7637 day,3117 which is the sabbath,7676 in it there shall be none.3808

27 And it came1961 to pass, that there went3318 out some of the people5971 on the seventh7637 day3117 for to gather,3950 and they found4672 none.3808

28 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 How5704 long5704 refuse3985 you to keep8104 my commandments4687 and my laws?8451

29 See,7200 for that the LORD3068 has given5414 you the sabbath,7676 therefore3651 he gives5414 you on the sixth8345 day3117 the bread3899 of two days;3117 abide3427 you every man376 in his place,8478 let no408 man376 go3318 out of his place4725 on the seventh7637 day.3117

30 So the people5971 rested7673 on the seventh7637 day.3117

31 And the house1004 of Israel3478 called7121 the name8034 thereof Manna:4478 and it was like coriander1407 seed,2233 white;3836 and the taste2940 of it was like wafers6838 made with honey.1706

32 And Moses4872 said,559 This2088 is the thing1697 which834 the LORD3068 commands,6680 Fill4393 an omer6016 of it to be kept4931 for your generations;1755 that they may see7200 the bread3899 with which834 I have fed398 you in the wilderness,4057 when I brought3318 you forth3318 from the land776 of Egypt.4714

33 And Moses4872 said559 to Aaron,175 Take3947 a pot,6803 and put5414 an omer6016 full4393 of manna4478 therein,8033 and lay3240 it up before6440 the LORD,3068 to be kept4931 for your generations.1755

34 As the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses,4872 so Aaron175 laid3240 it up before6440 the Testimony,5715 to be kept.4931

35 And the children1121 of Israel3478 did eat398 manna4478 forty705 years,8141 until5704 they came935 to a land776 inhabited;3427 they did eat398 manna,4478 until5704 they came935 to the borders7097 of the land776 of Canaan.3667

36 Now an omer6016 is the tenth6224 part of an ephah.374

2 И возроптало все общество сынов Израилевых на Моисея и Аарона в пустыне.

3 И сказали им сыны Израилевы: о, если бы мы умерли от руки Иеговы в земле Египетской, когда мы сидели у котлов мясных, когда мы ели хлеб досыта! А вы привели нас в эту пустыню, чтобы весь сонм сей уморить голодом.

4 Тогда Иегова сказал Моисею: вот, Я как дождь пошлю вам хлеб с неба; и пусть народ выходит и собирает ежедневно, сколько нужно на день, дабы Мне испытать его, будет ли он поступать по закону Моему, или нет.

5 А в шестой день пусть заготовляют, что принесут, и будет вдвое против того, по скольку собирают в прочие дни.

6 И сказали Моисей и Аарон всем сынам Израилевым: вечером узнаете, что Иегова вывел вас из земли Египетской.

7 И утром увидите славу Иеговы, ибо услышал Он ропот ваш на Иегову: а мы что значим, что вы на нас ропщете?

8 И сказал Моисей: узнаете, когда Иегова вечером даст вам мяса в пищу, а утром хлеба досыта; ибо Иегова услышал ропот ваш, который вы подняли против Него: а мы что? Не на нас ропот ваш, но на Иегову.

9 Аарону же сказал Моисей: скажи всему обществу сынов Израилевых: предстаньте пред лице Иеговы, ибо Он услышал ропот ваш.

10 И когда говорил Аарон ко всему обществу сынов Израилевых и они оглянулись к пустыне: се, слава Господня явилась в облаке.

11 И говорил Иегова Моисею, и сказал:

12 Я услышал ропот сынов Израилевых; скажи им: вечером будете есть мясо, а поутру насытитесь хлебом, и узнаете, что Я Иегова, Бог ваш.

13 В самом деле, вечером налетели перепелы, и покрыли стан, а поутру начала ложиться роса около стана.

14 Когда же перестала ложиться роса, то на поверхности пустыни оказалось нечто мелкое, снеговидное, мелкое, как гололедица на земле.

15 Увидя сие, сыны Израилевы говорили друг другу: что это? Ибо не знали, что такое; Моисей же сказал им: это хлеб, который Иегова дал вам в пищу.

16 Вот повеление, которое дал Иегова: собирайте оного каждый по стольку, сколько ему съесть, по гомору на человека; по числу душ, сколько у кого в шатре, собирайте.

17 Так и сделали сыны Израилевы: и собирали, кто много, кто мало.

18 И меряли гомором, и у того, кто собрал много, не было лишнего, и у того, кто мало, не было недостатка. Каждый собрал, сколько ему съесть.

19 И сказал им Моисей: никто не оставляй сего до утра.

20 Но Моисея не послушались, и оставили оного некоторые до утра; и родились черви и оно воссмердело; и разгневался на них Моисей.

21 И собирали оное по утрам, каждый сколько ему съесть; когда же обогревало солнце, оно растаявало.

22 В шестый же день собрали хлеба вдвое, по два гомора на каждого; и пришли все начальники общества, и донесли Моисею.

23 Моисей сказал им: вот, что сказал Иегова: завтра покой, суббота, посвященная Иегове; что надобно варить, варите, и что надобно печь, пеките, а все излишнее отложите и сберегите до утра.

24 И как повелел Моисей, отложили его до утра; и он не воссмердел, и червей не было в нем.

25 И сказал Моисей: ешьте его сегодня; ибо сегодня суббота Иегове; сегодня не найдете его на поле.

26 Шесть дней собирайте его; а в седьмый день - суббота; не будет в нее.

27 И случилось, что в седьмый день некоторые из народа вышли собирать, но не нашли.

28 Тогда Иегова сказал Моисею: долго ли вам не слушаться и не соблюдать заповедей Моих и законов Моих?

29 Смотрите, Иегова дал вам субботу, посему Он и даст в шестый день хлеба на два дня: оставайтесь каждый у себя, никто не ходи с места своего в седьмый день.

30 И покоился народ в седьмый день.

31 И нарекли Израильтяне хлебу тому имя: манна; она была как кишнецовое семя, бела, а вкусом как лепешка с медом.

32 И сказал Моисей: вот повеление, которое дал Иегова: наполните гомор и храните в роды ваши, дабы видели сей хлеб, которым Я питал вас в пустыне, когда вывел вас из земли Египетской.

33 И сказал Моисей Аарону: возьми один сосуд, и положи в него полный гомор манны, и поставь его пред Иеговою, для сохранения в роды ваши.

34 И поставил его Аарон пред ковчегом откровения для сохранения, как повелел Иегова Моисею.

35 Сыны Израилевы ели манну сорок лет, доколе не пришли в землю обитаемую; манну ели они, доколе не пришли к пределам земли Ханаанской.

36 А гомор есть десятая часть ефы.

6 И сказали Моисей и Аарон всем сынам Израилевым: вечером узнаете, что Иегова вывел вас из земли Египетской.

7 And in the morning,1242 then you shall see7200 the glory3519 of the LORD;3068 for that he hears8085 your murmurings8519 against5921 the LORD:3068 and what4100 are we, that you murmur3885 against5921 us?

7 И утром увидите славу Иеговы, ибо услышал Он ропот ваш на Иегову: а мы что значим, что вы на нас ропщете?

8 And Moses4872 said,559 This shall be, when the LORD3068 shall give5414 you in the evening6153 flesh1320 to eat,398 and in the morning1242 bread3899 to the full;7646 for that the LORD3068 hears8085 your murmurings8519 which834 you murmur3885 against5921 him: and what4100 are we? your murmurings8519 are not against5921 us, but against5921 the LORD.3068

8 И сказал Моисей: узнаете, когда Иегова вечером даст вам мяса в пищу, а утром хлеба досыта; ибо Иегова услышал ропот ваш, который вы подняли против Него: а мы что? Не на нас ропот ваш, но на Иегову.

9 And Moses4872 spoke559 to Aaron,175 Say559 to all3605 the congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 Come7126 near7126 before6440 the LORD:3068 for he has heard8085 your murmurings.8519

9 Аарону же сказал Моисей: скажи всему обществу сынов Израилевых: предстаньте пред лице Иеговы, ибо Он услышал ропот ваш.

10 И когда говорил Аарон ко всему обществу сынов Израилевых и они оглянулись к пустыне: се, слава Господня явилась в облаке.

11 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses,4872 saying,559

11 И говорил Иегова Моисею, и сказал:

12 I have heard8085 the murmurings8519 of the children1121 of Israel:3478 speak1696 to them, saying,559 At996 even6153 you shall eat398 flesh,1320 and in the morning1242 you shall be filled7646 with bread;3899 and you shall know3045 that I am the LORD3068 your God.430

12 Я услышал ропот сынов Израилевых; скажи им: вечером будете есть мясо, а поутру насытитесь хлебом, и узнаете, что Я Иегова, Бог ваш.

13 В самом деле, вечером налетели перепелы, и покрыли стан, а поутру начала ложиться роса около стана.

14 Когда же перестала ложиться роса, то на поверхности пустыни оказалось нечто мелкое, снеговидное, мелкое, как гололедица на земле.

15 And when the children1121 of Israel3478 saw7200 it, they said559 one376 to another,251 It is manna:4478 for they knew3045 not what4100 it was. And Moses4872 said559 to them, This1931 is the bread3899 which834 the LORD3068 has given5414 you to eat.402

15 Увидя сие, сыны Израилевы говорили друг другу: что это? Ибо не знали, что такое; Моисей же сказал им: это хлеб, который Иегова дал вам в пищу.

16 This2088 is the thing1697 which834 the LORD3068 has commanded,6680 Gather3950 of it every man376 according6310 to his eating,400 an omer6016 for every man,1538 according to the number4557 of your persons;5315 take3947 you every man376 for them which834 are in his tents.168

16 Вот повеление, которое дал Иегова: собирайте оного каждый по стольку, сколько ему съесть, по гомору на человека; по числу душ, сколько у кого в шатре, собирайте.

22 В шестый же день собрали хлеба вдвое, по два гомора на каждого; и пришли все начальники общества, и донесли Моисею.

23 And he said559 to them, This1931 is that which834 the LORD3068 has said,1696 To morrow4279 is the rest7677 of the holy6944 sabbath7676 to the LORD:3068 bake644 that which834 you will bake644 to day, and seethe1310 that you will seethe;1310 and that which remains5736 over5736 lay5117 up for you to be kept4931 until5704 the morning.1242

23 Моисей сказал им: вот, что сказал Иегова: завтра покой, суббота, посвященная Иегове; что надобно варить, варите, и что надобно печь, пеките, а все излишнее отложите и сберегите до утра.

24 And they laid5117 it up till5704 the morning,1242 as Moses4872 bade:6680 and it did not stink,887 neither3808 was there any worm7415 therein.

24 И как повелел Моисей, отложили его до утра; и он не воссмердел, и червей не было в нем.

25 And Moses4872 said,559 Eat398 that to day;3117 for to day3117 is a sabbath7676 to the LORD:3068 to day3117 you shall not find4672 it in the field.7704

25 И сказал Моисей: ешьте его сегодня; ибо сегодня суббота Иегове; сегодня не найдете его на поле.

26 Six8337 days3117 you shall gather3950 it; but on the seventh7637 day,3117 which is the sabbath,7676 in it there shall be none.3808

26 Шесть дней собирайте его; а в седьмый день - суббота; не будет в нее.

27 And it came1961 to pass, that there went3318 out some of the people5971 on the seventh7637 day3117 for to gather,3950 and they found4672 none.3808

27 И случилось, что в седьмый день некоторые из народа вышли собирать, но не нашли.

28 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 How5704 long5704 refuse3985 you to keep8104 my commandments4687 and my laws?8451

28 Тогда Иегова сказал Моисею: долго ли вам не слушаться и не соблюдать заповедей Моих и законов Моих?

29 See,7200 for that the LORD3068 has given5414 you the sabbath,7676 therefore3651 he gives5414 you on the sixth8345 day3117 the bread3899 of two days;3117 abide3427 you every man376 in his place,8478 let no408 man376 go3318 out of his place4725 on the seventh7637 day.3117

29 Смотрите, Иегова дал вам субботу, посему Он и даст в шестый день хлеба на два дня: оставайтесь каждый у себя, никто не ходи с места своего в седьмый день.

30 So the people5971 rested7673 on the seventh7637 day.3117

30 И покоился народ в седьмый день.

33 И сказал Моисей Аарону: возьми один сосуд, и положи в него полный гомор манны, и поставь его пред Иеговою, для сохранения в роды ваши.
