12 Da wandte6437 ich mich, zu6213 sehen die Weisheit2451 und Klugheit und Torheit1947. Denn wer weiß, was der für ein935 Mensch120 werden7200 wird nach310 dem Könige4428, den sie schon3528 bereit gemacht haben?

13 Da sah7200 ich, daß die Weisheit2451 die Torheit5531 übertraf3504, wie das Licht216 die Finsternis2822,

14 daß dem Weisen2450 seine Augen5869 im Haupt7218 stehen; aber die Narren3684 in Finsternis2822 gehen1980, und merkte3045 doch, daß es einem259 gehet wie dem andern4745.

15 Da227 dachte ich559 in meinem Herzen3820: Weil es denn3148 dem Narren3684 gehet wie mir7136, warum habe1696 ich denn nach Weisheit gestanden? Da dachte ich in meinem Herzen3820, daß solches auch1571 eitel1892 sei.

16 Denn man gedenkt des Weisen2450 nicht2146 immerdar5769, ebensowenig als des Narren3684; und5973 die künftigen Tage3117 vergessen alles7911; und935 wie der Weise2450 stirbt4191, also auch3528 der Narr3684.

17 Darum verdroß mich zu6213 leben2416; denn es gefiel mir übel7451, was unter der Sonne8121 geschieht, daß es so gar eitel1892 und4639 Mühe ist8130.

18 Und mich verdroß8130 alle meine Arbeit5999, die ich6001 unter der Sonne8121 hatte, daß ich dieselbe einem Menschen120 lassen3240 müßte, der nach310 mir sein sollte.

19 Denn wer weiß3045, ob er weise2450 oder toll sein wird5530? Und soll doch herrschen7980 in aller meiner Arbeit5999, die ich5998 weislich2449 getan habe unter der Sonne8121. Das ist auch eitel1892.

20 Darum wandte5437 ich5998 mich, daß mein Herz3820 abließe2976 von aller Arbeit5999; die ich tat unter der Sonne8121.

21 Denn es muß ein Mensch120, der120 seine Arbeit5999 mit Weisheit2451, Vernunft1847 und2506 Geschicklichkeit3788 getan5414 hat5998, einem andern zum Erbteil lassen, der nicht7451 dran gearbeitet hat. Das ist3426 auch eitel1892 und ein groß7227 Unglück.

22 Denn was kriegt1933 der Mensch120 von aller seiner Arbeit5999 und Mühe7475 seines Herzens3820, die1931 er hat6001 unter der Sonne8121,

23 denn alle3117 seine Lebtage Schmerzen, mit Grämen6045 und Leid4341, daß auch sein Herz3820 des Nachts3915 nicht ruhet? Das ist7901 auch eitel1892.

24 Ist‘s7200 nun nicht besser2896 dem Menschen120, essen398 und trinken8354 und seine See LE5315 guter2896 Dinge sein in seiner Arbeit5999? Aber solches2090 sah7200‘ ich auch, daß von Gottes430 Hand3027 kommt.

24 There is nothing369 better2896 for a man,120 than that he should eat7945 398 and drink,8354 and that he should make his soul7200 853 5315 good2896 in his labor.5999 This2090 also1571 I589 saw,7200 that3588 it1931 was from the hand4480 3027 of God.430

25 Denn wer hat fröhlicher gegessen398 und sich ergötzet denn ich?
|
25 For3588 who4310 can eat,398 or who4310 else can hasten2363 hereunto, more2351 than4480 I?
|
|
26 Denn dem Menschen120, der ihm6440 gefällt2896, gibt5414 er Weisheit2451, Vernunft und7307 Freude8057; aber1847 dem Sünder gibt5414 er Unglück, daß er sammle622 und häufe3664 und doch dem gegeben5414 werde2398, der GOtt430 gefällt2896. Darum ist6045 das auch eitel1892 Jammer.

26 For3588 God giveth5414 to a man120 that is good7945 2896 in his sight6440 wisdom,2451 and knowledge,1847 and joy:8057 but to the sinner2398 he giveth5414 travail,6045 to gather622 and to heap up,3664 that he may give5414 to him that is good2896 before6440 God.430 This2088 also1571 is vanity1892 and vexation7469 of spirit.7307
