2 Зведи́ свої очі на го́ри порожні й дивися, — де пере́любу ти не чинила? Ти для них по доро́гах сиділа, немов той араб на пустині, — і збезче́стився край твоїм блу́дом та лихом твоїм! |
|
3 І дощі були стри́мувані, і не було́ дощу пі́знього, проте мала ти чо́ло блудни́ці, і стратила сором, |
|
4 Чи ж кли́кати відни́ні не бу́деш до Мене: „Отче мій, Ти юна́цтва мого Провідни́к! |
|
5 Чи Він пам'ята́тиме вічно про гнів, чи наза́вжди його стерегти́ме?“ Таке ти говориш, і безме́жно зло чиниш. |
|
6 І сказав до мене Господь за днів царя Йосії: „Чи ти бачив, що зробила невірна дочка́ Ізраїлева? Вона ходила на кожну високу го́ру, і під кожне зелене дерево, — і блудоді́яла там. |
|
7 Я думав: Як зро́бить вона все оце, то до Мене пове́рнеться; та вона не верну́лась, і бачила це сестра її зра́дниця, Юдея. |
|
8 І побачила Юдея, що за все те, що пере́люб чинила невірна дочка Ізраїлева, відпустив Я її, і дав їй листа розводо́вого. Та зрадли́ва сестра її, дочка Юдина, не побоялася й пішла, і блудли́вою стала й вона. |
|
9 І сталось від ро́зголосу про пере́люб її, збезче́стила вона землю, і пере́люб чинила з камі́нням та з деревом. |
|
10 І також при всьому цьому не вернулась до Мене зрадли́ва сестра її, дочка Юди, усім своїм серцем, а тільки вдава́ла, говорить Господь“. |
|
11 І промовив до мене Господь: „Невірна дочка́ Ізраїлева всправедли́вила душу свою більш від зрадли́вої дочки Юди. |
|
12 Піди, і проголо́сиш слова ці на пі́вніч та й скажеш: Вернися, відсту́пна дочко Ізраїлева! говорить Госпо́дь. Не зверну́ Я Свого обличчя у гніві на вас, бо Я милости́вий, — говорить Госпо́дь, і не бу́ду повік стерегти́ Свого гніву. |
|
13 Тільки пізнай же прови́ну свою́, бо ти проти Господа, Бога свого повстала, і грішила з чужими під деревом кожним зеленим, і Мого голосу ви не почули, говорить Господь. |
|
14 Верніться, діти невірні, говорить Господь, бо Я вам Госпо́дар, та візьму́ вас по о́дному з міста, а з роду по два, і вас поведу́ до Сіону! |
|
15 І дам па́стирів вам згідно з серцем Своїм, і вони будуть па́сти вас умі́нням та ро́зумом. |
|
16 І буде, коли ви розмно́житеся та розпло́дитеся на землі за цих днів, — говорить Госпо́дь, — не скажуть уже: „ковче́г заповіту Господнього“, і він вже не при́йде на серце, і його пам'ятати не бу́дуть, і більше не буде він зро́блений. |
|
17 Того ча́су назвуть Єрусалима: Господній престо́л, і до нього, до Єрусалиму згрома́джені будуть наро́ди усі ради Йме́ння Господнього, і більше не пі́дуть вони за впертістю серця лихого свого́, |
|
18 Тими днями дім Юдин із домом Ізраїля пі́дуть і ра́зом прибу́дуть з півні́чного кра́ю до кра́ю, що вашим батькам на спа́док Я дав. |
|
19 І Я був поду́мав: як поставлю тебе Я посе́ред синів і дам тобі край пожада́ний, найкращу спа́дщину народів? І Я ду́мав: ви будете звати Мене: „Мій Отче“, і не відве́рнетеся ви від Мене. |
|
20 Справді, як зраджує жінка свого чоловіка, так ви Мене зра́дили, доме Ізраїлів! каже Господь. |
|
21 Чути голос на ли́сих гора́х, плач блага́льний синів Ізраїлевих, вони бо скривили доро́гу свою, забули про Господа, Бога свого́: |
|
22 „Верніться, невірні сини, усі ваші відсту́пства Я ви́лікую!“ „Ось прийшли ми до Тебе, бо Ти Господь, Бог наш! |
|
23 Справді, неправда ті па́гірки, той го́мін на го́рах, — справді, в Господі, Богові нашім, спасі́ння Ізраїлеве! |
|
24 А той сором пожер працю наших батьків від нашої мо́лодости, їхню худобу дрібну́ й їхню худобу велику, синів їхніх та їхніх дочо́к. |
|
25 Лежимо́ ми у со́ромі нашому, і нас покриває ця наша неслава, бо ми прогріши́лися Господу, Богові нашому, ми й батьки наші, від нашої мо́лодости й до сьогодні, і не слухали голосу Господа, нашого Бога!“ |

1 IF a man put away his wife, and she go from him and become another man's wife, and he return to her again, behold, the land shall be defiled. But you have committed adultery with many rulers; return again to me, says the LORD. |
|
2 Lift up your eyes to the highways, and see if there is a place where you have not defiled yourself. In the roads you have sat waiting for them, like an ostrich in the wilderness; and you have polluted the land with your whoredom. |
|
3 And because of your wickedness the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain; and you have become shameless like a whore, you have refused to be reproved. |
|
4 Behold, now you say to me, My father, and thou art foster mother of my childhood. |
|
5 Will God reserve his anger for ever? Or will he keep it to the end? Behold, you have spoken, and have done evil things beyond measure. |
|
6 The LORD said to me in the days of King Josiah, Have you seen the thing which she who dwells in Israel has done? She has gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there has played the harlot. |
|
7 And I said after she had done all these things, Return to me, but she did not return. And her perverseness was seen by her sister Judah. |
|
8 And she saw all Israel's evil-doings. And because the inhabitants of Israel committed adultery, I had put her away and given a bill of divorce; yet her perverse sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also. |
|
9 And her whoredom was so excessive that she defiled the land and committed adultery with idols of stone and wood, |
|
10 And yet, for all this her treacherous sister Judah has not returned to me with her whole heart, but only with falsehood, says the LORD. |
|
11 And the LORD said to me, The inhabitant of Israel has justified herself more than her perverse sister Judah. |
|
12 Go proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Repent, O you inhabitant of Israel, says the LORD; and I will not be severe against you; for I am good, says the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever. |
|
13 Only acknowledge your iniquity, for you have sinned against the LORD your God, and have scattered your evil practices to the strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed my voice, says the LORD. |
|
14 Repent, O backsliding children, says the LORD; for I was pleased with you; and took one person of you from every town and two from every family, and I brought you to Zion. |
|
15 And I will give you rulers according to my own heart, who will govern you with knowledge and understanding. |
|
16 And it shall come to pass when you have multiplied and increased in the land in those days, says the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD; neither shall it come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall that ritual be performed any more. |
|
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall look up to the name of the LORD; neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. |
|
18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to their fathers. |
|
19 And I said, I will consider you as children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations; and I said, You shall call me, My father, and shall not turn away from me. |
|
20 Surely as a wife lies about her lover, so has the house of Israel lied against me, says the LORD. |
|
21 A voice was heard on the highways, the weeping and supplications of the children of Israel; for they have perverted their ways, and they have forsaken the LORD their God. |
|
22 Repent, O you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings; and say, Behold, we are yours; for thou art the LORD our God. |
|
23 Truly, in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills and from fortified mountains; truly, in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel. |
|
24 For shame has devoured the labor of our fathers from their childhood, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters. |
|
25 Let us lie down in our shame, and let our confusion cover us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God. |

2 Lift up your eyes to the highways, and see if there is a place where you have not defiled yourself. In the roads you have sat waiting for them, like an ostrich in the wilderness; and you have polluted the land with your whoredom. |

3 І дощі були стри́мувані, і не було́ дощу пі́знього, проте мала ти чо́ло блудни́ці, і стратила сором, |
3 And because of your wickedness the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain; and you have become shameless like a whore, you have refused to be reproved. |

4 Чи ж кли́кати відни́ні не бу́деш до Мене: „Отче мій, Ти юна́цтва мого Провідни́к! |

7 Я думав: Як зро́бить вона все оце, то до Мене пове́рнеться; та вона не верну́лась, і бачила це сестра її зра́дниця, Юдея. |
7 And I said after she had done all these things, Return to me, but she did not return. And her perverseness was seen by her sister Judah. |
|
8 І побачила Юдея, що за все те, що пере́люб чинила невірна дочка Ізраїлева, відпустив Я її, і дав їй листа розводо́вого. Та зрадли́ва сестра її, дочка Юдина, не побоялася й пішла, і блудли́вою стала й вона. |
8 And she saw all Israel's evil-doings. And because the inhabitants of Israel committed adultery, I had put her away and given a bill of divorce; yet her perverse sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also. |

9 І сталось від ро́зголосу про пере́люб її, збезче́стила вона землю, і пере́люб чинила з камі́нням та з деревом. |
9 And her whoredom was so excessive that she defiled the land and committed adultery with idols of stone and wood, |

10 І також при всьому цьому не вернулась до Мене зрадли́ва сестра її, дочка Юди, усім своїм серцем, а тільки вдава́ла, говорить Господь“. |
10 And yet, for all this her treacherous sister Judah has not returned to me with her whole heart, but only with falsehood, says the LORD. |
|
11 І промовив до мене Господь: „Невірна дочка́ Ізраїлева всправедли́вила душу свою більш від зрадли́вої дочки Юди. |
11 And the LORD said to me, The inhabitant of Israel has justified herself more than her perverse sister Judah. |
|
12 Піди, і проголо́сиш слова ці на пі́вніч та й скажеш: Вернися, відсту́пна дочко Ізраїлева! говорить Госпо́дь. Не зверну́ Я Свого обличчя у гніві на вас, бо Я милости́вий, — говорить Госпо́дь, і не бу́ду повік стерегти́ Свого гніву. |
12 Go proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Repent, O you inhabitant of Israel, says the LORD; and I will not be severe against you; for I am good, says the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever. |

13 Тільки пізнай же прови́ну свою́, бо ти проти Господа, Бога свого повстала, і грішила з чужими під деревом кожним зеленим, і Мого голосу ви не почули, говорить Господь. |

15 І дам па́стирів вам згідно з серцем Своїм, і вони будуть па́сти вас умі́нням та ро́зумом. |
15 And I will give you rulers according to my own heart, who will govern you with knowledge and understanding. |
|
16 І буде, коли ви розмно́житеся та розпло́дитеся на землі за цих днів, — говорить Госпо́дь, — не скажуть уже: „ковче́г заповіту Господнього“, і він вже не при́йде на серце, і його пам'ятати не бу́дуть, і більше не буде він зро́блений. |
16 And it shall come to pass when you have multiplied and increased in the land in those days, says the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD; neither shall it come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall that ritual be performed any more. |
|
17 Того ча́су назвуть Єрусалима: Господній престо́л, і до нього, до Єрусалиму згрома́джені будуть наро́ди усі ради Йме́ння Господнього, і більше не пі́дуть вони за впертістю серця лихого свого́, |
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall look up to the name of the LORD; neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. |
|
18 Тими днями дім Юдин із домом Ізраїля пі́дуть і ра́зом прибу́дуть з півні́чного кра́ю до кра́ю, що вашим батькам на спа́док Я дав. |
18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to their fathers. |
|
19 І Я був поду́мав: як поставлю тебе Я посе́ред синів і дам тобі край пожада́ний, найкращу спа́дщину народів? І Я ду́мав: ви будете звати Мене: „Мій Отче“, і не відве́рнетеся ви від Мене. |
19 And I said, I will consider you as children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations; and I said, You shall call me, My father, and shall not turn away from me. |
|
20 Справді, як зраджує жінка свого чоловіка, так ви Мене зра́дили, доме Ізраїлів! каже Господь. |

|
21 Чути голос на ли́сих гора́х, плач блага́льний синів Ізраїлевих, вони бо скривили доро́гу свою, забули про Господа, Бога свого́: |

25 Let us lie down in our shame, and let our confusion cover us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God. |
