1 І було́ мені слово Господнє таке:

2 „Сину лю́дський, скажи кня́зеві Тиру: Так говорить Господь Бог: за те, що пови́щилось серце твоє й ти сказав: „Я Бог, сиджу́ на Божому престолі в серці морі́в“, а ти тільки люди́на, а не Бог, хоч ставив своє серце нарівні з серцем Божим.

3 Ось ти мудріший від Даниї́ла, — кожен мудрець не прилу́читься до тебе.

4 Своєю мудрістю та своїм розумом набув ти собі багатство, і назгрома́див золота та срібла в скарбни́цях своїх.

5 Великою своєю мудрістю та торгівлею своєю помно́жив ти багатство своє, і пови́щилось твоє серце багатством своїм!

6 Тому так говорить Господь Бог: За те, що ти ставиш своє серце нарівні з серцем Божим,

7 тому ось Я спрова́джу на тебе чужих, насильників поміж наро́дами, і вони повитяга́ють мечі свої на красу́ твоєї мудрости, і знева́жать красу́ твою.

8 Вони скинуть тебе в могилу, і помреш ти смертю пробитого в серці морів.

9 Чи справді ти скажеш: „Я бог!“ перед уби́вником своїм, а ти ж тільки люди́на, а не Бог, у руці тих, що зневажа́ють тебе?

10 Ти помреш смертю необрі́занців, від руки чужих, бо Я це сказав, говорить Господь Бог!“

11 І було мені слово Господнє таке:

12 „Сину лю́дський, здійми жало́бну пісню на ти́рського царя, та й скажеш йому: Так говорить Господь Бог: Ти печать доскона́лости, повен мудрости, і корона краси́.

13 Ти пробува́в ув Еде́ні, садку́ Божому: усякий дорогий камінь — на одежі твоїй: карнео́ль, топа́з і я́спіс, хризолі́т, сога́м, і о́нікс, сапфі́р, рубі́н і смара́гд, і золото; знаряддя бубнів твоїх та сопі́лок твоїх були́ в тебе ще дня, коли був ти ство́рений, були вони нагото́влені.

14 Ти пома́заний Херувим хорони́тель, і Я дав тебе на святу го́ру Божу, ти ходив посеред огни́стого камі́ння.

15 Ти був бездога́нний у своїх дорогах від дня твого ство́рення, аж поки не знайшлася на тобі несправедливість.

16 Через велику торгі́влю твою твоє нутро́ перепо́внилось наси́ллям, і ти прогрішив. Тому́ Я знева́жив тебе, щоб не був ти на Божій горі, і погубив тебе, хорони́телю Херуви́ме, з сере́дини огни́стого камі́ння.

17 Стало високим твоє серце через красу́ твою, ти занапасти́в свою мудрість через свою красу́. Кинув Я тебе на землю, дав тебе перед царями, щоб дивились на тебе.

18 Многото́ю провин своїх, через кривду торгі́влі своєї зневажив ти святині свої. І вивів Я огонь з твоєї сере́дини, і він поже́р тебе, і Я зробив тебе по́пелом на землі на оча́х усіх, хто бачить тебе.

19 Усі, хто знає тебе серед народів, остовпіють над тобою; ти по́страхом станеш, і не буде тебе аж навіки!“

20 І було мені слово Господнє таке:

21 „Сину лю́дський, зверни своє обличчя до Сидо́ну, і пророку́й на нього,

22 та й скажеш: так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я на тебе, Сидо́не, і буду шано́ваний серед тебе, і пізнають, що Я — Господь, коли робитиму на нього при́суди, і коли покажу́ Свою святість серед нього.

23 І пошлю на нього морови́цю та кров на його вулиці, і впаде́ серед нього пробитий, що при́йде на нього знавко́ла, і пізнають, що Я — Госпо́дь.

24 І не буде вже для Ізраїлевого дому колю́чої терни́ни та будя́ччя, що прино́сить біль зо всіх їхніх око́лиць, що пого́рджують ними, і пізнають вони, що Я — Господь Бог.

25 Так говорить Господь Бог: Коли Я позбираю Ізраїлів дім із наро́дів, між якими вони розпоро́шені, то Я покажу́ на ньому Свою святість на оча́х наро́дів, і вони осядуть на землі своїй, яку Я дав Своєму рабові Якову.

26 І осядуть вони на ній безпе́чно, і будува́тимуть доми́ та садитимуть виноградники, і будуть сидіти безпечно, коли Я чинитиму при́суди на всіх тих, що пого́рджують ними з їхнього довкі́лля. І пізнають вони, що Я — Господь, їхній Бог!“

Chapter 28

1 THE word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, say to the king of Tyre, Thus says the LORD God: Because your heart is lifted up and you have said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the heart of the seas; and yet you are a man, and not God, though you think of your heart as though it were the heart of God;

3 Perhaps you are wiser than Daniel, or you have seen hidden things by your wisdom;

4 With your understanding you have become powerful, and have gotten silver and gold into your treasures;

5 By your great wisdom and by your trade you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches;

6 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you think of your heart as though it were the heart of God;

7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon you, the mightiest of the nations, and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your glory.

8 They shall bring you down to ruin, and you shall die the death of those who are slain in the midst of the seas.

9 Perhaps you will still say before those who slay you, I am God. Yet you are but a man, and no God, in the hands of those who slay you.

10 You shall die by the hand of uncircumcised strangers; for I have spoken it, says the LORD God.

11 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

12 Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the LORD God: You were the seal of wisdom and the crown of beauty.

13 You have been in Eden, the garden of God; you were decked with every precious stone, the sardius, the topaz, and the emerald, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire and pearls; and you have filled your treasuries with gold and your chests with precious stones; you had all of these things from the day you were created.

14 You were with the anointed cherub that shelters; and I have set you on the holy mountain of God; and you were safe in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 You were perfect in your ways, from the day that you were created till iniquity was found in you.

16 By the multitude of your merchandise you have filled your land with iniquity and you have sinned; therefore I will cast you from the mountain of God; and I will destroy you, O sheltering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17 Since your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, now your wisdom and your beauty are corrupted; I will cast you to the ground before kings, that you may be a spectacle before them.

18 By the multitude of your frauds, by the iniquity of your traffic, you have defiled your sanctuary; therefore I will bring forth a fire from the midst of you, and it shall devour you, and I will reduce you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all those who see you.

19 All those who know you among the people shall be astonished at you; you shall be brought to destruction, and you never shall be any more.

20 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

21 Son of man, set your face against Zidon, and prophesy against it,

22 And say, Thus says the LORD God: Behold, I am against you, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of you; and the people shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her and shall be sanctified in her.

23 For I will send her pestilence and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall fall in the midst of her by the sword that is upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

24 And there shall be no more a pricking brier to the house of Israel, nor a thorn to cause them pain from all that are round about them, and that curse them; and they shall know that I am the LORD God.

25 Thus says the LORD God: When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified by them in the sight of the nations, then shall they dwell in the land which I have given to my servant Jacob.

26 And they shall dwell in it safely, and shall build houses and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence after I have executed judgments on all those who hurt them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.

1 І було́ мені слово Господнє таке:

1 THE word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 „Сину лю́дський, скажи кня́зеві Тиру: Так говорить Господь Бог: за те, що пови́щилось серце твоє й ти сказав: „Я Бог, сиджу́ на Божому престолі в серці морі́в“, а ти тільки люди́на, а не Бог, хоч ставив своє серце нарівні з серцем Божим.

2 Son of man, say to the king of Tyre, Thus says the LORD God: Because your heart is lifted up and you have said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the heart of the seas; and yet you are a man, and not God, though you think of your heart as though it were the heart of God;

3 Ось ти мудріший від Даниї́ла, — кожен мудрець не прилу́читься до тебе.

3 Perhaps you are wiser than Daniel, or you have seen hidden things by your wisdom;

4 Своєю мудрістю та своїм розумом набув ти собі багатство, і назгрома́див золота та срібла в скарбни́цях своїх.

4 With your understanding you have become powerful, and have gotten silver and gold into your treasures;

5 Великою своєю мудрістю та торгівлею своєю помно́жив ти багатство своє, і пови́щилось твоє серце багатством своїм!

5 By your great wisdom and by your trade you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches;

6 Тому так говорить Господь Бог: За те, що ти ставиш своє серце нарівні з серцем Божим,

6 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you think of your heart as though it were the heart of God;

7 тому ось Я спрова́джу на тебе чужих, насильників поміж наро́дами, і вони повитяга́ють мечі свої на красу́ твоєї мудрости, і знева́жать красу́ твою.

7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon you, the mightiest of the nations, and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your glory.

8 Вони скинуть тебе в могилу, і помреш ти смертю пробитого в серці морів.

8 They shall bring you down to ruin, and you shall die the death of those who are slain in the midst of the seas.

9 Чи справді ти скажеш: „Я бог!“ перед уби́вником своїм, а ти ж тільки люди́на, а не Бог, у руці тих, що зневажа́ють тебе?

9 Perhaps you will still say before those who slay you, I am God. Yet you are but a man, and no God, in the hands of those who slay you.

10 Ти помреш смертю необрі́занців, від руки чужих, бо Я це сказав, говорить Господь Бог!“

10 You shall die by the hand of uncircumcised strangers; for I have spoken it, says the LORD God.

11 І було мені слово Господнє таке:

11 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

12 „Сину лю́дський, здійми жало́бну пісню на ти́рського царя, та й скажеш йому: Так говорить Господь Бог: Ти печать доскона́лости, повен мудрости, і корона краси́.

12 Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the LORD God: You were the seal of wisdom and the crown of beauty.

13 Ти пробува́в ув Еде́ні, садку́ Божому: усякий дорогий камінь — на одежі твоїй: карнео́ль, топа́з і я́спіс, хризолі́т, сога́м, і о́нікс, сапфі́р, рубі́н і смара́гд, і золото; знаряддя бубнів твоїх та сопі́лок твоїх були́ в тебе ще дня, коли був ти ство́рений, були вони нагото́влені.

13 You have been in Eden, the garden of God; you were decked with every precious stone, the sardius, the topaz, and the emerald, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire and pearls; and you have filled your treasuries with gold and your chests with precious stones; you had all of these things from the day you were created.

14 Ти пома́заний Херувим хорони́тель, і Я дав тебе на святу го́ру Божу, ти ходив посеред огни́стого камі́ння.

14 You were with the anointed cherub that shelters; and I have set you on the holy mountain of God; and you were safe in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 Ти був бездога́нний у своїх дорогах від дня твого ство́рення, аж поки не знайшлася на тобі несправедливість.

15 You were perfect in your ways, from the day that you were created till iniquity was found in you.

16 Через велику торгі́влю твою твоє нутро́ перепо́внилось наси́ллям, і ти прогрішив. Тому́ Я знева́жив тебе, щоб не був ти на Божій горі, і погубив тебе, хорони́телю Херуви́ме, з сере́дини огни́стого камі́ння.

16 By the multitude of your merchandise you have filled your land with iniquity and you have sinned; therefore I will cast you from the mountain of God; and I will destroy you, O sheltering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17 Стало високим твоє серце через красу́ твою, ти занапасти́в свою мудрість через свою красу́. Кинув Я тебе на землю, дав тебе перед царями, щоб дивились на тебе.

17 Since your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, now your wisdom and your beauty are corrupted; I will cast you to the ground before kings, that you may be a spectacle before them.

18 Многото́ю провин своїх, через кривду торгі́влі своєї зневажив ти святині свої. І вивів Я огонь з твоєї сере́дини, і він поже́р тебе, і Я зробив тебе по́пелом на землі на оча́х усіх, хто бачить тебе.

18 By the multitude of your frauds, by the iniquity of your traffic, you have defiled your sanctuary; therefore I will bring forth a fire from the midst of you, and it shall devour you, and I will reduce you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all those who see you.

19 Усі, хто знає тебе серед народів, остовпіють над тобою; ти по́страхом станеш, і не буде тебе аж навіки!“

19 All those who know you among the people shall be astonished at you; you shall be brought to destruction, and you never shall be any more.

20 І було мені слово Господнє таке:

20 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

21 „Сину лю́дський, зверни своє обличчя до Сидо́ну, і пророку́й на нього,

21 Son of man, set your face against Zidon, and prophesy against it,

22 та й скажеш: так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я на тебе, Сидо́не, і буду шано́ваний серед тебе, і пізнають, що Я — Господь, коли робитиму на нього при́суди, і коли покажу́ Свою святість серед нього.

22 And say, Thus says the LORD God: Behold, I am against you, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of you; and the people shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her and shall be sanctified in her.

23 І пошлю на нього морови́цю та кров на його вулиці, і впаде́ серед нього пробитий, що при́йде на нього знавко́ла, і пізнають, що Я — Госпо́дь.

23 For I will send her pestilence and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall fall in the midst of her by the sword that is upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

24 І не буде вже для Ізраїлевого дому колю́чої терни́ни та будя́ччя, що прино́сить біль зо всіх їхніх око́лиць, що пого́рджують ними, і пізнають вони, що Я — Господь Бог.

24 And there shall be no more a pricking brier to the house of Israel, nor a thorn to cause them pain from all that are round about them, and that curse them; and they shall know that I am the LORD God.

25 Так говорить Господь Бог: Коли Я позбираю Ізраїлів дім із наро́дів, між якими вони розпоро́шені, то Я покажу́ на ньому Свою святість на оча́х наро́дів, і вони осядуть на землі своїй, яку Я дав Своєму рабові Якову.
