Розділ 16

1 І було́ мені слово Господнє таке:

2 „Сину лю́дський, повідо́м Єрусалим про його гидо́ти,

3 та й скажи: Так говорить Господь Бог до дочки́ Єрусалиму: Похо́дження твоє й наро́дження твоє — з кра́ю ханаа́нського, твій батько — аморе́єць, а мати твоя — хітте́янка.

4 При твоєму наро́дженні, того дня, як ти народи́лася, не був обрі́заний пупо́к твій, і водою не була ти обмита на очи́щення, ані не була ти посо́лена, ані не була ти спови́та.

5 Не зми́лувалося над тобою жодне око, щоб зробити тобі одну з цих речей з милосердя над тобою, але́ була ти ви́кинена на відкрите поле, — так мало ціно́вано душу твою в день твойого наро́дження!

6 І прохо́див Я повз тебе, і бачив тебе, як ти валя́лася в своїй крові, і сказав Я до тебе: Живи в своїй крові! Так, Я сказав тобі: Живи в своїй крові!

7 Рости ж, — зробив Я тебе, як польову́ рости́ну, і ти зросла́ та стала велика, і дійшла ти до найвродливі́шої вро́ди: перса ви́простались, волос твій виріс, а ти була зо́всім нага́!

8 І прохо́див Я повз тебе, і побачив тебе, аж ось час твій наспів, — час коха́ння. І простягну́в Я полу Свою над тобою, і закрив твою наготу́, і присягнув тобі, і ввійшов з тобою в заповіт, — говорить Госпо́дь Бог, — і стала ти Моєю.

9 І обмив Я тебе водою, і сполоска́в Я кров твою з тебе, і нате́р тебе оливою.

10 І зодягнув тебе різнокольоро́вим, взув тебе в та́хаш, і спови́в тебе в віссо́н, і покрив тебе шо́вком.

11 І приоздо́бив тебе оздобою, і дав нараме́нники на руки твої, а ланцюга́ — на шию твою.

12 І дав Я носову́ сере́жку до носа твого, і сере́жки на ву́ха твої, а пишну корону на твою го́лову.

13 І приоздо́билась ти золотом та срі́блом, а одіж твоя — віссо́н та шовк, і різнокольоро́ве; булку й мед та оливу ти їла, і стала ти гарна-прегарна, і вдало́ся тобі досягти царсько́ї гідности!

14 І розійшлося ім'я́ твоє поміж наро́дами за твою красу, бо доскона́ла вона, через пишно́ту Мою, яку Я на тебе поклав, — говорить Госпо́дь Бог!

15 І покладалася ти на красу́ свою, і стала розпу́сною через славу свою, і виливала ти розпу́сту свою на кожного перехожого, — його ти була́.

16 І бра́ла ти з шат своїх, і робила собі різнокольоро́ві па́гірки, і чинила розпусту на них, як не бувало й не буде.

17 І брала ти речі з пишно́ти своєї, з Мого золота та зо срі́бла Мого, що дав тобі Я, і наробила собі подоб чоловічої статі, — і чинила розпусту із ними.

18 І брала ти свою різнокольоро́ву одіж, і покривала їх, а оливу Мою та Моє кадило клала перед ними.

19 А Мій хліб, що давав Я тобі, булку й оливу та мед, що ними годував Я тебе, то віддавала ти те перед їхнє обличчя на лю́бі па́хощі. І сталося це, говорить Господь Бог.

20 І бра́ла ти синів своїх та дочо́к своїх, що породила Мені, і прино́сила їх на їжу їм. Чи мало було розпусти твоєї,

21 що ти різала дітей Моїх ї давала їм, перепрова́джуючи через огонь для них?

22 І при всіх гидотах твоїх та розпустах твоїх ти не пам'ятала про дні своєї мо́лодости, коли була наго́ю-пренаго́ю, коли валялася в крові своїй.

23 І сталося по всьому тому твоєму злі, — горе, горе тобі! говорить Господь Бог, —

24 і побудувала ти собі місця розпу́сти, і пороби́ла собі підви́щення на кожному майда́ні.

25 На кожному роздоріжжі побудувала ти свої підви́щення, і знесла́вила красу́ свою, і розхиля́ла ноги свої для кожного перехожого, і побільшувала свою розпусту.

26 І чинила ти розпусту з синами Єгипту, з своїми сусідами великотеле́сими, і побільшувала свою розпусту, щоб гніви́ти Мене.

27 І ось простягнув Я Свою руку на тебе, і відняв належну частину твою, — і дав тебе на волю твоїх нена́висниць, филисти́мських дочо́к, засоро́млених твоєю нечистою дорогою.

28 Бо чинила ти розпусту з синами Ашшуровими, і не могла наси́титись, і блуди́ла з ними, і теж не наси́тилась.

29 І побільши́ла ти свою розпусту до купецького кра́ю халдеїв, та теж цим не наси́тилася.

30 Як змучилося серце твоє, — говорить Господь Бог, — коли ти робила всі оці вчинки сваві́льної розпусної жінки!

31 Коли ти будувала місця своєї розпусти на кожному роздорі́жжі, а підви́щення своє робила на кожному майда́ні, то не була ти, як блудни́ця, щоб збирати заплату за розпусту,

32 але як перелю́бна жінка, що замість свого чоловіка бере собі чужих.

33 Усім блудни́цям дають дару́нка, а ти сама давала дару́нки свої всім коха́нцям своїм, і підкупо́вувала їх, щоб прихо́дили до тебе звідусіль на розпусту з тобою.

34 І було тобі при твоїй розпусті навпаки́ від інших жіно́к, бо не волочи́лись за тобою, а через те, що ти давала заплату за розпусту, і заплата за розпусту не давалась тобі, то сталось тобі навпаки́.

35 Тому то, розпу́снице, послухай Господнього слова:

36 Так говорить Господь Бог: За те, що вилива́лась твоя розпуста, і відкрива́лась твоя нагота́ в блудоді́йстві твоїм з твоїми коха́нцями та зо всіма́ божка́ми гидоти твоєї, і за кров синів твоїх, яких ти давала їм,

37 тому ось Я позбираю всіх коха́нців твоїх, яким була ти приємна, і всіх, кого ти кохала, ра́зом з тими, кого ти знена́виділа, і зберу́ їх коло тебе знавко́ла, і відкрию їм наготу́ твою, і вони побачать увесь твій сором!

38 І засуджу́ тебе при́судом на перелю́бниць та тих, що кров проливають, і дам тебе на кров лютости та за́здрости.

39 І віддам тебе в їхню руку, і вони зруйну́ють твоє місце розпусти, і порозва́люють підви́щення твої, і постяга́ють з тебе шати твої, і позабирають пишні вбрання́ твої, і покладуть тебе зо́всім наго́ю.

40 І зберуть проти тебе збо́ри, і заки́дають тебе камі́нням, і порубають тебе своїми мечами.

41 І попа́лять доми́ твої огнем, і зроблять на тебе при́суди на оча́х багатьох жінок. І зроблю́ Я кінець, щоб не була́ ти розпу́сницею, і ти вже не будеш давати дару́нка за розпусту!

42 І заспоко́їться Моя лютість на тебе, і відійде від тебе Моя за́здрість, і Я заспоко́юся, і не буду вже гніватися.

43 За те, що ти не пам'ятала про дні своєї мо́лодости, і гніви́ла Мене всім тим, то й Я ось поверну́ дорогу твою на твою го́лову, — говорить Господь Бог, — щоб не чинила ти розпусти після всіх гидо́т своїх!

44 Ось кожен припові́стник говоритиме про тебе припові́стку, кажучи: „Яка мати — така її до́нька!“

45 Ти дочка́ своєї матері, що покинула свого чоловіка та своїх синів, і ти сестра своїх сесте́р, що поки́дали своїх чоловіків та своїх синів. Мати ваша хітте́йка, а ваш батько — аморе́єць!

46 А старша сестра твоя — Самарі́я та до́чки її, що сидять по ліви́ці твоїй, а сестра твоя, менша від тебе, що сидить по прави́ці твоїй — це Содо́ма та до́чки її.

47 А ти хіба не ходила їхніми доро́гами й не робила за їхніми гидо́тами? Мало бракувало, — і зіпсу́лася б ти більше від них на всіх своїх дорогах!

48 Як живий Я, — говорить Господь Бог, — не зробила Содо́ма, сестра твоя, вона та до́чки її, як зробила ти та твої до́чки!

49 Ось оце була провина твоєї сестри Содоми: пиха́, ситість ї́жі та преспокійний спо́кій були в неї та в її дочо́к, а руки́ вбогого та бідного вона не зміцня́ла.

50 І запиша́лись вони, і робили гидо́ти перед Моїм обличчям. І Я їх відкинув, як побачив оце.

51 А Самарі́я не нагрішила й половини гріхів твоїх, та ти побільши́ла гидо́ти свої більш від них, і оправдала сесте́р своїх усіма́ своїми гидо́тами, які ти зробила.

52 Тож носи свою га́ньбу ти, що чинила її для своїх сесте́р, через твої гріхи, якими гидоти чинила ти більше за них, вони будуть справедливіші за тебе! І також посоромся, і носи свій сором за твоє всправедли́влення своїх сесте́р!

53 І поверну́ Я їхню долю, долю Содоми та дочо́к її, і Самарію та дочо́к її, і поверну́ долю твою серед них,

54 щоб носила ти свій сором, і соро́милася всього того, що ти наробила, потіша́ючи їх.

55 А твої се́стри, Содома та до́чки її, ве́рнуться до свого попере́днього ста́ну, і Самарі́я та до́чки її ве́рнуться до свого попере́днього стану, і ти та до́чки твої ве́рнетесь до свого попере́днього ста́ну.

56 І не була сестра твоя Содо́ма згадувана в у́стах твоїх за днів твоїх го́рдощів,

57 поки не відкрилося зло твоє, коли ганьби́ли тебе до́чки Сирії та всіх околиць його, і до́чки филисти́мські пого́рджували тебе звідусі́ль.

58 Свою розпусту та гидо́ти свої, — ти їх понесе́ш, говорить Господь.

59 Бо так говорить Господь Бог: І зроблю́ Я з тобою, як робила ти, що погорди́ла прися́гою, щоб зламати заповіта.

60 І згадаю Я Свого заповіта з тобою за днів твоєї мо́лодости, і поставлю тобі заповіта вічного.

61 І ти згадаєш про свої дороги й засоро́мишся, коли ти ві́зьмеш сесте́р своїх, старших від тебе, ра́зом з меншими від тебе, і дам їх тобі за дочо́к, але́ не з твого заповіту.

62 І відновлю́ Я Свого заповіта з тобою, і ти пізнаєш, що Я — Господь,

63 щоб згадала ти й засоро́милася, і не могла більше відкривати уста перед га́ньбою своєю, коли прощу́ тобі все, що ти наробила, говорить Госпо́дь Бог“.

Ezekiel

Chapter 16

1 AGAIN the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, make known to Jerusalem her abominations,

3 And say, Thus says the LORD God to Jerusalem: Your root and your nativity is of the land of Canaan; your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite.

4 And as for the one who bore you, in the day you were born she did not cut your navel, neither did she wash you with water nor did she salt your body with salt nor wrap you in swaddling clothes at all.

5 Nor did her eye have pity upon you, to do any of these things to you and to have compassion upon you; but you were cast out in the open field, to the loathing of your person on the day that you were born.

6 And when I passed by you and saw you wallowing in your own blood, I said to you as you lay thus wallowing in your blood, Live,

7 And multiply like the grass of the field. And you have increased and grown great; then you went into the cities. Your breasts were formed and your hair had grown, but you were naked and bare.

8 Now when I passed by you and looked upon you, behold, you had reached the marriage age; and I spread my hand over you and covered your nakedness; yea, I swore to you and entered into a covenant with you, says the LORD God, and you became mine.

9 Then I bathed you with water, and I washed away your blood from you, and I anointed you with oil.

10 I clothed you also with embroidered clothes, and shod you with shoes; and I girded your loins with fine linen and clothed you with silk.

11 I decked you also with ornaments, and I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace on your neck.

12 And I put a jewel on your forehead and earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head.

13 Thus you were decked with gold and gems, and you were clothed with fine linen and purple and embroidered cloth; and you ate fine flour and honey and oil; and you became exceedingly beautiful, and you grew prosperous among the kingdoms.

14 And your renown went forth among the Gentiles for your beauty, because of the beautiful crown of my glory which I put upon you, says the LORD God.

15 But you trusted in your own beauty and played the harlot because of your renown, and poured out your fornications on every one who passed by;

16 And you took some of my garments and decorated the high places for yourself, and played the harlot upon them; they shall not be brought back, neither shall they be yours.

17 You have also taken your costly jewels of gold and silver which I had given you, and made to yourself images of men, and committed whoredom with them;

18 And you took your embroidered garments and covered them; and you have set my oil and my incense before them.

19 And the food which I gave you, the fine flour and oil and honey with which I fed you, you have set before them for a sweet savor; says the LORD God.

20 Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you had borne to me, and these you have sacrificed to them for food. These things you did besides your whoredoms,

21 That you have slaughtered my children, and offered them to the idols after you had been ravished by them.

22 And in all your abominations and your whoredoms you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare and lay wallowing in blood.

23 And after all your wickedness, woe, woe to you! says the LORD God;

24 You have built yourself a house of idols, and made yourself altars in every street.

25 You have built yourself small temples for idol worship at every head of the way, and defiled your beauty and exposed yourself to every one that passed by, and multiplied your fornications.

26 You have also played the harlot with the Egyptians your neighbors, who have large male organs; and you have multiplied your fornications, to provoke me to anger.

27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand against you and have abolished your ordinances and delivered you into the hand of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who rebuked you because of your ways of whoredom.

28 You have played the whore also with the Assyrians, and yet you were not satisfied.

29 You have moreover multiplied your fornications in the land of Canaan and in Chaldea; and yet, even with them you were not satisfied.

30 How shall I judge you, O daughter, says the LORD God, seeing that you did all these things, the works of a whore and a rebellious woman?

31 In that you built your notorious shrines at the head of every way, and set your altars in every street; and yet you were not as clever as a harlot who charges a price;

32 And even not as clever as a whorish wife who takes a price from strangers.

33 Men pay a price to all harlots; but instead you pay a price to all your lovers and bribe them with your whoredom, that they may come to you from every side round about you.

34 So you are different from other women in your whoredoms, in that you pay others a price, and no one pays a price to you.

35 Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD;

36 Thus says the LORD God: Because you have practiced divination and exposed your nakedness through your whoredoms with your lovers, and because of all the idols of your abominations and the blood of your children which you offered to them;

37 Behold, therefore I will gather all your lovers with whom you have taken pleasure, and all those you have loved, with all those you have hated; I will even gather them against you from every side and will expose your nakedness in their presence, and they shall see all your nakedness.

38 And I will judge you with the judgment of an adulteress, and as those who shed blood are judged; and I will deliver you to slaughter and to fury and indignation.

39 And I will also deliver you into their hands, and shall demolish your brothels and tear down the houses of your idols; they shall strip you also of your clothes, and shall take your precious jewels and leave you naked and bare.

40 They shall also bring up multitudes of people against you, and they shall stone you with stones, and thrust you through with their swords.

41 And they shall burn you in the midst of fire, and execute judgments upon you in the sight of many women; and I will cause you to cease from playing the harlot, and you also shall give no hire to your lovers any more.

42 So will I make my wrath to rest upon you, and my indignation shall depart from you, and I will be quiet and will be no more angry.

43 Because you have not remembered the days of your youth, but have provoked me in all these things; behold, therefore I have also recompensed your evil ways upon your head, says the LORD God, because you have committed abomination and fornication.

44 Behold, every one who uses a proverb shall use this proverb against you, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.

45 You are your mother's daughter, who deserted her husband and her children; and you are the sister of women who deserted their husbands and their children; your mother was a Hittite and your father an Amorite.

46 And your elder sister is Samaria, who dwells at your left hand with her daughters; and your younger sister, who dwells at your right hand, is Sodom with her daughters.

47 Yet you have not walked according to their ways, nor done according to their abominations; but in a very little time you became more corrupt than they in all your ways.

48 As I live, says the LORD God, Sodom your sister and her daughters have not done as you and your daughters have done.

49 Behold, this is the iniquity of Sodom your proud sister: she and her daughters had abundant food and lived in tranquillity, but she did not help the poor and needy.

50 And they were haughty and committed evil before me; therefore when I saw these things in them I overthrew them.

51 Neither has Samaria committed half of your sins; but you have multiplied your abominations more than they and have outdone your sisters in all your abominations which you have committed.

52 You also shall endure the shame because you have outdone your sisters in your sins, and have polluted yourself more than they; they are more righteous than you; you must be confounded also and bear your shame, for your sisters are more righteous than you.

53 I will bring back their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters; then I will cause the captivity of your exiles to be carried among them,

54 That you may bear shame and be confounded in all that you have done to provoke my anger.

55 When your sister Sodom, with her daughters, shall be restored to their former state, and Samaria and her daughters shall be restored to their former state, then you and your daughters shall be restored to your former state.

56 For your sister Sodom was not a proverb in your mouth in the day of your pride,

57 Before your wickedness was exposed, as she was at the time of the reproach of the daughters of Edom, when all the daughters of the Philistines who were round about her used to despise her.

58 Now you bear your lewdness and your abominations, says the LORD God.

59 For thus says the LORD God: I will even deal with you as you have done, because you have despised my oaths and nullified my covenant.

60 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish with you an everlasting covenant.

61 Then you shall remember your evil ways and be ashamed, when I take your sisters, the elder and the younger, and give them to you for daughters, but not because of your covenant.

62 And I will establish my covenant with you; and you shall know that I am the LORD,

63 Because you shall remember and be ashamed, and never open your mouth any more because of your shame, for I have forgiven you for all that you have done, says the LORD God.

7 And multiply like the grass of the field. And you have increased and grown great; then you went into the cities. Your breasts were formed and your hair had grown, but you were naked and bare.

8 І прохо́див Я повз тебе, і побачив тебе, аж ось час твій наспів, — час коха́ння. І простягну́в Я полу Свою над тобою, і закрив твою наготу́, і присягнув тобі, і ввійшов з тобою в заповіт, — говорить Госпо́дь Бог, — і стала ти Моєю.

9 Then I bathed you with water, and I washed away your blood from you, and I anointed you with oil.

10 І зодягнув тебе різнокольоро́вим, взув тебе в та́хаш, і спови́в тебе в віссо́н, і покрив тебе шо́вком.

10 I clothed you also with embroidered clothes, and shod you with shoes; and I girded your loins with fine linen and clothed you with silk.

11 І приоздо́бив тебе оздобою, і дав нараме́нники на руки твої, а ланцюга́ — на шию твою.

11 I decked you also with ornaments, and I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace on your neck.

13 Thus you were decked with gold and gems, and you were clothed with fine linen and purple and embroidered cloth; and you ate fine flour and honey and oil; and you became exceedingly beautiful, and you grew prosperous among the kingdoms.

14 І розійшлося ім'я́ твоє поміж наро́дами за твою красу, бо доскона́ла вона, через пишно́ту Мою, яку Я на тебе поклав, — говорить Госпо́дь Бог!

14 And your renown went forth among the Gentiles for your beauty, because of the beautiful crown of my glory which I put upon you, says the LORD God.

15 І покладалася ти на красу́ свою, і стала розпу́сною через славу свою, і виливала ти розпу́сту свою на кожного перехожого, — його ти була́.

15 But you trusted in your own beauty and played the harlot because of your renown, and poured out your fornications on every one who passed by;

16 І бра́ла ти з шат своїх, і робила собі різнокольоро́ві па́гірки, і чинила розпусту на них, як не бувало й не буде.

16 And you took some of my garments and decorated the high places for yourself, and played the harlot upon them; they shall not be brought back, neither shall they be yours.

17 І брала ти речі з пишно́ти своєї, з Мого золота та зо срі́бла Мого, що дав тобі Я, і наробила собі подоб чоловічої статі, — і чинила розпусту із ними.

17 You have also taken your costly jewels of gold and silver which I had given you, and made to yourself images of men, and committed whoredom with them;

18 І брала ти свою різнокольоро́ву одіж, і покривала їх, а оливу Мою та Моє кадило клала перед ними.

18 And you took your embroidered garments and covered them; and you have set my oil and my incense before them.

19 А Мій хліб, що давав Я тобі, булку й оливу та мед, що ними годував Я тебе, то віддавала ти те перед їхнє обличчя на лю́бі па́хощі. І сталося це, говорить Господь Бог.

19 And the food which I gave you, the fine flour and oil and honey with which I fed you, you have set before them for a sweet savor; says the LORD God.

20 І бра́ла ти синів своїх та дочо́к своїх, що породила Мені, і прино́сила їх на їжу їм. Чи мало було розпусти твоєї,

20 Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you had borne to me, and these you have sacrificed to them for food. These things you did besides your whoredoms,

21 що ти різала дітей Моїх ї давала їм, перепрова́джуючи через огонь для них?

21 That you have slaughtered my children, and offered them to the idols after you had been ravished by them.

22 І при всіх гидотах твоїх та розпустах твоїх ти не пам'ятала про дні своєї мо́лодости, коли була наго́ю-пренаго́ю, коли валялася в крові своїй.

22 And in all your abominations and your whoredoms you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare and lay wallowing in blood.

23 І сталося по всьому тому твоєму злі, — горе, горе тобі! говорить Господь Бог, —

23 And after all your wickedness, woe, woe to you! says the LORD God;

24 і побудувала ти собі місця розпу́сти, і пороби́ла собі підви́щення на кожному майда́ні.

24 You have built yourself a house of idols, and made yourself altars in every street.

25 На кожному роздоріжжі побудувала ти свої підви́щення, і знесла́вила красу́ свою, і розхиля́ла ноги свої для кожного перехожого, і побільшувала свою розпусту.

25 You have built yourself small temples for idol worship at every head of the way, and defiled your beauty and exposed yourself to every one that passed by, and multiplied your fornications.

26 І чинила ти розпусту з синами Єгипту, з своїми сусідами великотеле́сими, і побільшувала свою розпусту, щоб гніви́ти Мене.

26 You have also played the harlot with the Egyptians your neighbors, who have large male organs; and you have multiplied your fornications, to provoke me to anger.

27 І ось простягнув Я Свою руку на тебе, і відняв належну частину твою, — і дав тебе на волю твоїх нена́висниць, филисти́мських дочо́к, засоро́млених твоєю нечистою дорогою.

27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand against you and have abolished your ordinances and delivered you into the hand of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who rebuked you because of your ways of whoredom.

28 Бо чинила ти розпусту з синами Ашшуровими, і не могла наси́титись, і блуди́ла з ними, і теж не наси́тилась.

28 You have played the whore also with the Assyrians, and yet you were not satisfied.

29 І побільши́ла ти свою розпусту до купецького кра́ю халдеїв, та теж цим не наси́тилася.

29 You have moreover multiplied your fornications in the land of Canaan and in Chaldea; and yet, even with them you were not satisfied.

30 Як змучилося серце твоє, — говорить Господь Бог, — коли ти робила всі оці вчинки сваві́льної розпусної жінки!

30 How shall I judge you, O daughter, says the LORD God, seeing that you did all these things, the works of a whore and a rebellious woman?

31 Коли ти будувала місця своєї розпусти на кожному роздорі́жжі, а підви́щення своє робила на кожному майда́ні, то не була ти, як блудни́ця, щоб збирати заплату за розпусту,

31 In that you built your notorious shrines at the head of every way, and set your altars in every street; and yet you were not as clever as a harlot who charges a price;

32 але як перелю́бна жінка, що замість свого чоловіка бере собі чужих.

32 And even not as clever as a whorish wife who takes a price from strangers.

33 Усім блудни́цям дають дару́нка, а ти сама давала дару́нки свої всім коха́нцям своїм, і підкупо́вувала їх, щоб прихо́дили до тебе звідусіль на розпусту з тобою.

33 Men pay a price to all harlots; but instead you pay a price to all your lovers and bribe them with your whoredom, that they may come to you from every side round about you.

34 І було тобі при твоїй розпусті навпаки́ від інших жіно́к, бо не волочи́лись за тобою, а через те, що ти давала заплату за розпусту, і заплата за розпусту не давалась тобі, то сталось тобі навпаки́.

34 So you are different from other women in your whoredoms, in that you pay others a price, and no one pays a price to you.

35 Тому то, розпу́снице, послухай Господнього слова:

35 Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD;

36 Так говорить Господь Бог: За те, що вилива́лась твоя розпуста, і відкрива́лась твоя нагота́ в блудоді́йстві твоїм з твоїми коха́нцями та зо всіма́ божка́ми гидоти твоєї, і за кров синів твоїх, яких ти давала їм,

36 Thus says the LORD God: Because you have practiced divination and exposed your nakedness through your whoredoms with your lovers, and because of all the idols of your abominations and the blood of your children which you offered to them;

37 тому ось Я позбираю всіх коха́нців твоїх, яким була ти приємна, і всіх, кого ти кохала, ра́зом з тими, кого ти знена́виділа, і зберу́ їх коло тебе знавко́ла, і відкрию їм наготу́ твою, і вони побачать увесь твій сором!

37 Behold, therefore I will gather all your lovers with whom you have taken pleasure, and all those you have loved, with all those you have hated; I will even gather them against you from every side and will expose your nakedness in their presence, and they shall see all your nakedness.

38 І засуджу́ тебе при́судом на перелю́бниць та тих, що кров проливають, і дам тебе на кров лютости та за́здрости.

38 And I will judge you with the judgment of an adulteress, and as those who shed blood are judged; and I will deliver you to slaughter and to fury and indignation.

39 І віддам тебе в їхню руку, і вони зруйну́ють твоє місце розпусти, і порозва́люють підви́щення твої, і постяга́ють з тебе шати твої, і позабирають пишні вбрання́ твої, і покладуть тебе зо́всім наго́ю.

39 And I will also deliver you into their hands, and shall demolish your brothels and tear down the houses of your idols; they shall strip you also of your clothes, and shall take your precious jewels and leave you naked and bare.

40 І зберуть проти тебе збо́ри, і заки́дають тебе камі́нням, і порубають тебе своїми мечами.

40 They shall also bring up multitudes of people against you, and they shall stone you with stones, and thrust you through with their swords.

41 І попа́лять доми́ твої огнем, і зроблять на тебе при́суди на оча́х багатьох жінок. І зроблю́ Я кінець, щоб не була́ ти розпу́сницею, і ти вже не будеш давати дару́нка за розпусту!

41 And they shall burn you in the midst of fire, and execute judgments upon you in the sight of many women; and I will cause you to cease from playing the harlot, and you also shall give no hire to your lovers any more.

42 І заспоко́їться Моя лютість на тебе, і відійде від тебе Моя за́здрість, і Я заспоко́юся, і не буду вже гніватися.

42 So will I make my wrath to rest upon you, and my indignation shall depart from you, and I will be quiet and will be no more angry.

43 За те, що ти не пам'ятала про дні своєї мо́лодости, і гніви́ла Мене всім тим, то й Я ось поверну́ дорогу твою на твою го́лову, — говорить Господь Бог, — щоб не чинила ти розпусти після всіх гидо́т своїх!

43 Because you have not remembered the days of your youth, but have provoked me in all these things; behold, therefore I have also recompensed your evil ways upon your head, says the LORD God, because you have committed abomination and fornication.

44 Ось кожен припові́стник говоритиме про тебе припові́стку, кажучи: „Яка мати — така її до́нька!“

44 Behold, every one who uses a proverb shall use this proverb against you, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.

45 Ти дочка́ своєї матері, що покинула свого чоловіка та своїх синів, і ти сестра своїх сесте́р, що поки́дали своїх чоловіків та своїх синів. Мати ваша хітте́йка, а ваш батько — аморе́єць!

45 You are your mother's daughter, who deserted her husband and her children; and you are the sister of women who deserted their husbands and their children; your mother was a Hittite and your father an Amorite.

46 А старша сестра твоя — Самарі́я та до́чки її, що сидять по ліви́ці твоїй, а сестра твоя, менша від тебе, що сидить по прави́ці твоїй — це Содо́ма та до́чки її.

46 And your elder sister is Samaria, who dwells at your left hand with her daughters; and your younger sister, who dwells at your right hand, is Sodom with her daughters.

47 А ти хіба не ходила їхніми доро́гами й не робила за їхніми гидо́тами? Мало бракувало, — і зіпсу́лася б ти більше від них на всіх своїх дорогах!

47 Yet you have not walked according to their ways, nor done according to their abominations; but in a very little time you became more corrupt than they in all your ways.

48 Як живий Я, — говорить Господь Бог, — не зробила Содо́ма, сестра твоя, вона та до́чки її, як зробила ти та твої до́чки!

48 As I live, says the LORD God, Sodom your sister and her daughters have not done as you and your daughters have done.

49 Ось оце була провина твоєї сестри Содоми: пиха́, ситість ї́жі та преспокійний спо́кій були в неї та в її дочо́к, а руки́ вбогого та бідного вона не зміцня́ла.

49 Behold, this is the iniquity of Sodom your proud sister: she and her daughters had abundant food and lived in tranquillity, but she did not help the poor and needy.

50 І запиша́лись вони, і робили гидо́ти перед Моїм обличчям. І Я їх відкинув, як побачив оце.

50 And they were haughty and committed evil before me; therefore when I saw these things in them I overthrew them.

51 А Самарі́я не нагрішила й половини гріхів твоїх, та ти побільши́ла гидо́ти свої більш від них, і оправдала сесте́р своїх усіма́ своїми гидо́тами, які ти зробила.

51 Neither has Samaria committed half of your sins; but you have multiplied your abominations more than they and have outdone your sisters in all your abominations which you have committed.

52 Тож носи свою га́ньбу ти, що чинила її для своїх сесте́р, через твої гріхи, якими гидоти чинила ти більше за них, вони будуть справедливіші за тебе! І також посоромся, і носи свій сором за твоє всправедли́влення своїх сесте́р!

52 You also shall endure the shame because you have outdone your sisters in your sins, and have polluted yourself more than they; they are more righteous than you; you must be confounded also and bear your shame, for your sisters are more righteous than you.

53 І поверну́ Я їхню долю, долю Содоми та дочо́к її, і Самарію та дочо́к її, і поверну́ долю твою серед них,

53 I will bring back their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters; then I will cause the captivity of your exiles to be carried among them,

54 щоб носила ти свій сором, і соро́милася всього того, що ти наробила, потіша́ючи їх.

54 That you may bear shame and be confounded in all that you have done to provoke my anger.

55 А твої се́стри, Содома та до́чки її, ве́рнуться до свого попере́днього ста́ну, і Самарі́я та до́чки її ве́рнуться до свого попере́днього стану, і ти та до́чки твої ве́рнетесь до свого попере́днього ста́ну.

55 When your sister Sodom, with her daughters, shall be restored to their former state, and Samaria and her daughters shall be restored to their former state, then you and your daughters shall be restored to your former state.

56 І не була сестра твоя Содо́ма згадувана в у́стах твоїх за днів твоїх го́рдощів,

56 For your sister Sodom was not a proverb in your mouth in the day of your pride,

57 поки не відкрилося зло твоє, коли ганьби́ли тебе до́чки Сирії та всіх околиць його, і до́чки филисти́мські пого́рджували тебе звідусі́ль.

57 Before your wickedness was exposed, as she was at the time of the reproach of the daughters of Edom, when all the daughters of the Philistines who were round about her used to despise her.

58 Свою розпусту та гидо́ти свої, — ти їх понесе́ш, говорить Господь.

58 Now you bear your lewdness and your abominations, says the LORD God.

59 Бо так говорить Господь Бог: І зроблю́ Я з тобою, як робила ти, що погорди́ла прися́гою, щоб зламати заповіта.

59 For thus says the LORD God: I will even deal with you as you have done, because you have despised my oaths and nullified my covenant.

60 І згадаю Я Свого заповіта з тобою за днів твоєї мо́лодости, і поставлю тобі заповіта вічного.

60 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish with you an everlasting covenant.

61 І ти згадаєш про свої дороги й засоро́мишся, коли ти ві́зьмеш сесте́р своїх, старших від тебе, ра́зом з меншими від тебе, і дам їх тобі за дочо́к, але́ не з твого заповіту.

61 Then you shall remember your evil ways and be ashamed, when I take your sisters, the elder and the younger, and give them to you for daughters, but not because of your covenant.

62 І відновлю́ Я Свого заповіта з тобою, і ти пізнаєш, що Я — Господь,

62 And I will establish my covenant with you; and you shall know that I am the LORD,

63 щоб згадала ти й засоро́милася, і не могла більше відкривати уста перед га́ньбою своєю, коли прощу́ тобі все, що ти наробила, говорить Госпо́дь Бог“.

63 Because you shall remember and be ashamed, and never open your mouth any more because of your shame, for I have forgiven you for all that you have done, says the LORD God.
