9 И другие двенадцать81476240 камней68 поставил6965 Иисус3091 среди8432 Иордана3383 на месте, где стояли4673 ноги7272 священников,3548 несших5375 ковчег727 завета.1285 Они там и до сего дня.3117

10 Священники,3548 несшие5375 ковчег,727 стояли5975 среди8432 Иордана,3383 доколе не окончено8552 было8552 все, что1697 Господь3068 повелел6680 Иисусу3091 сказать1696 народу,5971 так, как завещал6680 Моисей4872 Иисусу;3091 а народ5971 между тем поспешно4116 переходил.5674

Chapter 4

1 AND when all the people had finished passing over the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua,

2 Take twelve men from the people, a man out of every tribe,

3 And command them, saying, Take from here out of the midst of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood, twelve stones, and you shall carry them over with you, and lay them in the lodging place where you lodge this night.

4 Then Joshua called the twelve men who were selected from the children of Israel, out of each tribe a man;

5 And Joshua said to them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel;

6 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones?

7 Then you shall tell them, The waters of the Jordan were divided before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when we passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were divided; and these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel for ever.

8 And the children of Israel did as Joshua commanded them, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as the LORD had said to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.

9 And they set up the twelve stones which they had taken out of the midst of the Jordan, where stood the feet of the priests who were bearing the ark of the covenant; and they are there to this day.

10 And the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to tell to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua; and the people made haste and passed over.

11 And when all the people had finished passing over, the ark of the LORD and the priests passed over before the people.

12 Then the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses had told them;

13 About forty thousand men armed for war passed over before the LORD to battle, to the plains of Jericho.

14 On that very day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they had feared Moses, all the days of his life.

15 And the LORD said to Joshua,

16 Command the priests who bear the ark of the testimony to come up out of the Jordan.

17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come up out of the Jordan.

18 And when the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD had come up out of the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet rested firm on the dry land, the waters of the Jordan rushed to their place, and overflowed all its banks, as they did before.

19 And the people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Jericho.

20 And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan. Joshua set up at Gilgal.

21 And he said to the children of Israel, When your children shall ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones?

22 Then you shall explain them to your children, and say to them, The children of Israel crossed this Jordan on dry land.

23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before them, until they passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us until we passed over;

24 So that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, and that you may worship the LORD your God for ever.

3 And command them, saying, Take from here out of the midst of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood, twelve stones, and you shall carry them over with you, and lay them in the lodging place where you lodge this night.

5 And Joshua said to them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel;

6 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones?

7 Then you shall tell them, The waters of the Jordan were divided before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when we passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were divided; and these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel for ever.

8 И сделали6213 сыны1121 Израилевы3478 так, как приказал6680 Иисус:3091 взяли5375 двенадцать81476240 камней68 из8432 Иордана,3383 как говорил1696 Господь3068 Иисусу,3091 по числу4557 колен7626 сынов1121 Израилевых,3478 и перенесли5674 их с собою на ночлег,4411 и положили3240 их там.

8 And the children of Israel did as Joshua commanded them, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as the LORD had said to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.

9 И другие двенадцать81476240 камней68 поставил6965 Иисус3091 среди8432 Иордана3383 на месте, где стояли4673 ноги7272 священников,3548 несших5375 ковчег727 завета.1285 Они там и до сего дня.3117

9 And they set up the twelve stones which they had taken out of the midst of the Jordan, where stood the feet of the priests who were bearing the ark of the covenant; and they are there to this day.

10 Священники,3548 несшие5375 ковчег,727 стояли5975 среди8432 Иордана,3383 доколе не окончено8552 было8552 все, что1697 Господь3068 повелел6680 Иисусу3091 сказать1696 народу,5971 так, как завещал6680 Моисей4872 Иисусу;3091 а народ5971 между тем поспешно4116 переходил.5674

10 And the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to tell to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua; and the people made haste and passed over.

11 Когда весь народ5971 перешел56748552 Иордан, тогда перешел5674 и ковчег727 завета Господня,3068 и священники3548 пред3942 народом;5971

11 And when all the people had finished passing over, the ark of the LORD and the priests passed over before the people.

12 и сыны1121 Рувима7205 и сыны1121 Гада1410 и половина2677 колена7626 Манассиина4519 перешли5674 вооруженные2571 впереди3942 сынов1121 Израилевых,3478 как говорил1696 им Моисей.4872

12 Then the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses had told them;

13 Около сорока705 тысяч505 вооруженных2502 на брань6635 перешло5674 пред3942 Господом3068 на равнины6160 Иерихонские,3405 чтобы сразиться.4421

13 About forty thousand men armed for war passed over before the LORD to battle, to the plains of Jericho.

14 В тот день3117 прославил1431 Господь3068 Иисуса3091 пред очами5869 всего Израиля3478 и стали3372 бояться3372 его, как боялись3372 Моисея,4872 во все дни3117 жизни2416 его.

14 On that very day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they had feared Moses, all the days of his life.

15 И сказал559 Господь3068 Иисусу,3091 говоря:559

15 And the LORD said to Joshua,

16 прикажи6680 священникам,3548 несущим5375 ковчег727 откровения,5715 выйти5927 из Иордана.3383

16 Command the priests who bear the ark of the testimony to come up out of the Jordan.

17 Иисус3091 приказал6680 священникам3548 и сказал:559 выйдите5927 из Иордана.3383

17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come up out of the Jordan.

18 И когда священники,3548 несшие5375 ковчег727 завета1285 Господня,3068 вышли5927 из Иордана,84323383 то, лишь только стопы3709 ног7272 их3548 ступили5423 на сушу,2724 вода4325 Иордана3383 устремилась7725 по своему месту4725 и пошла,3212 как вчера8543 и третьего8032 дня,8032 выше всех берегов1415 своих.

18 And when the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD had come up out of the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet rested firm on the dry land, the waters of the Jordan rushed to their place, and overflowed all its banks, as they did before.

19 И вышел5927 народ5971 из Иордана3383 в десятый6218 день первого7223 месяца2320 и поставил2583 стан2583 в Галгале,1537 на восточной4217 стороне7097 Иерихона.3405

19 And the people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Jericho.

20 И двенадцать81476240 камней,68 которые взяли3947 они из Иордана,3383 Иисус3091 поставил6965 в Галгале1537

20 And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan. Joshua set up at Gilgal.

21 And he said to the children of Israel, When your children shall ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones?

22 Then you shall explain them to your children, and say to them, The children of Israel crossed this Jordan on dry land.

23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before them, until they passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us until we passed over;

24 So that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, and that you may worship the LORD your God for ever.
