Глава 3

1 Царь Навуходоносор сделал золотого идола, высотой в 30 метров и шириной в 3 метра. Он поставил этого истукана в долине Деир в провинции Вавилона.

2 Затем царь позвал сатрапов, наместников, важных чиновников, советников, хранителей казны, судей и всех других чиновников своего царства. Царь хотел, чтобы все эти люди пришли на торжественную церемонию открытия бога-истукана.

3 Когда все они собрались и встали перед идолом, которого поставил царь Навуходоносор,

4 тогда глашатай громко объявил: «Слушайте все люди из разных племён, народов и разных наречий! Вот что вам приказано сделать!

5 Как только вы услышите звуки музыкальных инструментов, вы должны низко поклониться. Когда вы услышите звуки труб, флейт, самбуков, арф, лир, волынок и других инструментов, вы должны пасть ниц и поклониться золотому идолу, которого воздвиг царь Навуходоносор.

6 А кто не станет поклоняться золотому идолу, тотчас будет брошен в раскалённую печь».

7 Как только все услышали звук труб, флейт, лир, самбуков, арф, волынок и всех других музыкальных инструментов, все народы пали, племена и люди разных наречий поклонились золотому истукану, которого воздвиг царь Навуходоносор.

8 Тогда некоторые из халдеев подошли к царю и стали говорить против иудеев.

9 Они сказали Навуходоносору: «Пусть царь живёт вовеки!

10 Царь, ты дал приказ о том, чтобы каждый, кто услышит звуки труб, флейт, лир, самбуков, арф, волынок и других музыкальных инструментов, пал ниц и поклонился золотому идолу.

11 И ты также сказал, что если кто не поклонится ему, то будет брошен в раскалённую печь.

12 Однако некоторые из иудеев не послушались твоего приказа. Ты сделал этих иудеев важными чиновниками в провинции Вавилона. Их зовут Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго. Они не поклоняются твоим богам, они не пали и не поклонились золотому идолу, которого ты воздвиг».

13 Навуходоносор очень разгневался и велел привести Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго. Когда их привели к царю,

14 Навуходоносор сказал им: «Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго, правда ли, что вы не молитесь моим богам? И правда ли то, что вы не поклонились золотому идолу, которого я поставил?

15 Отныне, когда услышите звуки труб, флейт, лир, самбуков, волынок и других музыкальных инструментов, вы должны пасть ниц и поклониться золотому идолу. Если вы готовы поклониться идолу, воздвигнутому мной, то с вами ничего не случится, но, если вы не поклонитесь ему, вас в тот же час бросят в раскалённую печь. Тогда никакой бог не в силах будет спасти вас от моей власти!»

16 Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго ответили царю: «Навуходоносор, нам нет нужды отвечать тебе!

17 Если ты бросишь нас в раскалённую печь, то Бог, Которому мы служим, сможет спасти нас, а если Он захочет, то избавит нас и от твоей власти.

18 Но даже если Бог и не спасёт нас, мы хотим, чтобы ты знал, царь, что мы отказываемся служить твоим богам. Мы не станем поклоняться золотому идолу, которого ты воздвиг».

19 Эти слова привели Навуходоносора в ярость! Он грозно взглянул на Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго и приказал разжечь печь в семь раз горячее обычного.

20 Он приказал самым сильным солдатам в своей армии связать Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго и бросить их в раскалённую печь.

21 Их связали и бросили в раскалённую печь в одежде, которая была на них: в нижнем и верхнем платье и с тюрбанами на головах.

22 Царь был очень зол, когда отдавал свой приказ, и поэтому солдаты развели огонь, и сильно раскалили печь! Огонь был таким горячим, что пламя сожгло солдат, которые бросали Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго в печь.

23 Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго были крепко связаны, а затем брошены в огонь.

24 И тут же царь Навуходоносор в изумлении вскочил на ноги. Он спросил своих советников: «Верно ли, что мы связали и бросили в огонь только троих?!» Его советники ответили: «Да, царь».

25 «Смотрите, — сказал царь, — я вижу четырёх мужчин, ходящих среди огня. Они не связаны, и огонь не причинил им никакого вреда. А ещё там четвёртый мужчина, который подобен Ангелу !»

26 Тогда Навуходоносор подошёл к двери горячей печи и закричал: «Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго, выходите! Слуги Бога Всевышнего, идите сюда!» И тогда Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго вышли из огня.

27 Когда они вышли, сатрапы, наместники и царские советники окружили их и смогли убедиться, что огонь им не повредил: их тела, волосы и одежда совсем не были опалены, и даже запаха дыма от них не было.

28 И сказал тогда Навуходоносор: «Восхвалите Бога Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго, Который послал Своего Ангела и спас Своих слуг от огня! Эти трое верили в Своего Бога и отказались подчиниться моему приказу. Они скорее готовы были умереть, чем поклоняться какому-либо иному богу.

29 Я повелеваю, чтобы люди из любого народа или любого наречия, которые скажут что-либо против Бога Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго, будут изрублены на куски, а их дома будут превращены в развалины и золу. Ни один другой бог не может так спасать Свой народ».

30 И царь дал Седраху, Мисаху и Авденаго ещё более высокие должности в провинции Вавилона.

31 Царь Навуходоносор разослал народам всех стран и наречий, живущим по всему миру, такое сообщение: «Мир вам!

32 Хочу в радости сообщить вам о чудесах и замечательных событиях, которые самый великий Бог совершил для меня.

33 Бог совершил удивительные чудеса! Бог совершил могущественные чудеса! Царство Божье — царство вечное, и Его правление продлится вечно, из поколения в поколение».

Chapter 3

1 NEBUCHADNEZZAR the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its breadth six cubits; and he set it up in the plain of Dora, in the province of Babylon.

2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the generals of the armies, the lords, the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

3 Then all the generals of the armies, the lords, the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces were gathered together to the dedication of the new image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood up before the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

4 Then a herald cried aloud, and said, To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages,

5 That at the hour when you hear the sound of the trumpet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the golden image which Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up;

6 And whosoever does not fall down and worship shall at the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

7 Therefore at the hour when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, all the peoples, the nations, and the languages fell down and worshipped the golden image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

8 And at that very time certain Chaldeans came near and accused the Jews.

9 They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever!

10 You, O king, have made a decree, that every man who shall hear the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image which you have set up;

11 And whosoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

12 There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded you; they do not serve your god, nor do they worship the golden image which you have set up.

13 Then King Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And they brought them before the king.

14 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king spoke and said to them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my god nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

15 Now if you are ready, at the time you hear the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, to fall down and worship the image which I have made, good; but if you do not worship, you shall at once be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is your god that shall deliver you out of my hands?

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to King Nebuchadnezzar, There is no use to answer you concerning this matter;

17 For there is our God whom we serve, he is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

18 Then the king shall know that we will not serve your god nor worship the golden image which you have set up.

19 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was filled with fury, and the countenance of his face was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; and he commanded that the furnace should be heated seven times more than it was customarily heated.

20 And he commanded some of the mighty men in the army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

21 Then the mighty men bound them in their trousers, their undergarments, their robes, and their hats, and cast them into the fiery furnace.

22 Because the king's command was hasty and the furnace was exceedingly hot, the flames of the fire killed those who had accused Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

23 But the three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. (And they rose up and walked bound in the midst of the flame, praising God and blessing the LORD.)

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was alarmed and rose up in a great fear, and spoke and said to his princes, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, True, O king.

25 The king answered and said, Behold I see men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like that of the Son of God.

26 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king drew near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spoke and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most High God, come forth and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came out of the midst of the fiery furnace.

27 And all the people, generals of the armies, governors, lords, and the great men of the king, being gathered together, saw these men upon whose bodies the fire had no power nor was the hair of their head singed neither were their trousers burned nor had the smell of fire passed on them.

28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have rejected the king's word and offered their bodies that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

29 Therefore I make this decree: Every people, nation, and language which speaks blasphemy against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be plundered, because there is no other God that can deliver in this manner.

30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

3 Когда все они собрались и встали перед идолом, которого поставил царь Навуходоносор,	3 Then all the generals of the armies, the lords, the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces were gathered together to the dedication of the new image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood up before the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
4 тогда глашатай громко объявил: «Слушайте все люди из разных племён, народов и разных наречий! Вот что вам приказано сделать!	4 Then a herald cried aloud, and said, To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages,
5 Как только вы услышите звуки музыкальных инструментов, вы должны низко поклониться. Когда вы услышите звуки труб, флейт, самбуков, арф, лир, волынок и других инструментов, вы должны пасть ниц и поклониться золотому идолу, которого воздвиг царь Навуходоносор.	5 That at the hour when you hear the sound of the trumpet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the golden image which Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up;
6 А кто не станет поклоняться золотому идолу, тотчас будет брошен в раскалённую печь».	6 And whosoever does not fall down and worship shall at the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
7 Как только все услышали звук труб, флейт, лир, самбуков, арф, волынок и всех других музыкальных инструментов, все народы пали, племена и люди разных наречий поклонились золотому истукану, которого воздвиг царь Навуходоносор.	7 Therefore at the hour when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, all the peoples, the nations, and the languages fell down and worshipped the golden image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
8 Тогда некоторые из халдеев подошли к царю и стали говорить против иудеев.	8 And at that very time certain Chaldeans came near and accused the Jews.
9 Они сказали Навуходоносору: «Пусть царь живёт вовеки!	9 They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever!
10 Царь, ты дал приказ о том, чтобы каждый, кто услышит звуки труб, флейт, лир, самбуков, арф, волынок и других музыкальных инструментов, пал ниц и поклонился золотому идолу.	10 You, O king, have made a decree, that every man who shall hear the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image which you have set up;
11 И ты также сказал, что если кто не поклонится ему, то будет брошен в раскалённую печь.	11 And whosoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
12 Однако некоторые из иудеев не послушались твоего приказа. Ты сделал этих иудеев важными чиновниками в провинции Вавилона. Их зовут Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго. Они не поклоняются твоим богам, они не пали и не поклонились золотому идолу, которого ты воздвиг».	12 There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded you; they do not serve your god, nor do they worship the golden image which you have set up.
13 Навуходоносор очень разгневался и велел привести Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго. Когда их привели к царю,	13 Then King Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And they brought them before the king.
14 Навуходоносор сказал им: «Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго, правда ли, что вы не молитесь моим богам? И правда ли то, что вы не поклонились золотому идолу, которого я поставил?	14 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king spoke and said to them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my god nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
15 Отныне, когда услышите звуки труб, флейт, лир, самбуков, волынок и других музыкальных инструментов, вы должны пасть ниц и поклониться золотому идолу. Если вы готовы поклониться идолу, воздвигнутому мной, то с вами ничего не случится, но, если вы не поклонитесь ему, вас в тот же час бросят в раскалённую печь. Тогда никакой бог не в силах будет спасти вас от моей власти!»	15 Now if you are ready, at the time you hear the sound of the trumpet, the flute, the harp, the sackbut, the psaltery, and all kinds of music, to fall down and worship the image which I have made, good; but if you do not worship, you shall at once be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is your god that shall deliver you out of my hands?
16 Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго ответили царю: «Навуходоносор, нам нет нужды отвечать тебе!	16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to King Nebuchadnezzar, There is no use to answer you concerning this matter;
17 Если ты бросишь нас в раскалённую печь, то Бог, Которому мы служим, сможет спасти нас, а если Он захочет, то избавит нас и от твоей власти.	17 For there is our God whom we serve, he is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
18 Но даже если Бог и не спасёт нас, мы хотим, чтобы ты знал, царь, что мы отказываемся служить твоим богам. Мы не станем поклоняться золотому идолу, которого ты воздвиг».	18 Then the king shall know that we will not serve your god nor worship the golden image which you have set up.
19 Эти слова привели Навуходоносора в ярость! Он грозно взглянул на Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго и приказал разжечь печь в семь раз горячее обычного.	19 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was filled with fury, and the countenance of his face was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; and he commanded that the furnace should be heated seven times more than it was customarily heated.
20 Он приказал самым сильным солдатам в своей армии связать Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго и бросить их в раскалённую печь.	20 And he commanded some of the mighty men in the army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
21 Их связали и бросили в раскалённую печь в одежде, которая была на них: в нижнем и верхнем платье и с тюрбанами на головах.	21 Then the mighty men bound them in their trousers, their undergarments, their robes, and their hats, and cast them into the fiery furnace.
22 Царь был очень зол, когда отдавал свой приказ, и поэтому солдаты развели огонь, и сильно раскалили печь! Огонь был таким горячим, что пламя сожгло солдат, которые бросали Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго в печь.	22 Because the king's command was hasty and the furnace was exceedingly hot, the flames of the fire killed those who had accused Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
23 Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго были крепко связаны, а затем брошены в огонь.	23 But the three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. (And they rose up and walked bound in the midst of the flame, praising God and blessing the LORD.)
24 И тут же царь Навуходоносор в изумлении вскочил на ноги. Он спросил своих советников: «Верно ли, что мы связали и бросили в огонь только троих?!» Его советники ответили: «Да, царь».	24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was alarmed and rose up in a great fear, and spoke and said to his princes, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, True, O king.
25 «Смотрите, — сказал царь, — я вижу четырёх мужчин, ходящих среди огня. Они не связаны, и огонь не причинил им никакого вреда. А ещё там четвёртый мужчина, который подобен Ангелу !»	25 The king answered and said, Behold I see men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like that of the Son of God.
26 Тогда Навуходоносор подошёл к двери горячей печи и закричал: «Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго, выходите! Слуги Бога Всевышнего, идите сюда!» И тогда Седрах, Мисах и Авденаго вышли из огня.	26 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king drew near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spoke and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most High God, come forth and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came out of the midst of the fiery furnace.

28 И сказал тогда Навуходоносор: «Восхвалите Бога Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго, Который послал Своего Ангела и спас Своих слуг от огня! Эти трое верили в Своего Бога и отказались подчиниться моему приказу. Они скорее готовы были умереть, чем поклоняться какому-либо иному богу.	28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have rejected the king's word and offered their bodies that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
29 Я повелеваю, чтобы люди из любого народа или любого наречия, которые скажут что-либо против Бога Седраха, Мисаха и Авденаго, будут изрублены на куски, а их дома будут превращены в развалины и золу.
