1 Затем Господь сказал Моисею:

2 «Обратись к людям народа израильского. Возьми у них двенадцать деревянных дорожных посохов, по одному от главы каждого из двенадцати родов. Напиши имя каждого на его посохе,

3 а на посохе Левия напиши имя Аарона. Пусть будет по посоху на каждый из двенадцати родов.

4 Положи эти дорожные посохи в шатре собрания перед ковчегом Соглашения. На том месте Я встречусь с тобой

5 и выберу одного человека истинным священником, и вы узнаете этого человека, так как Я дам знак: на его дорожном посохе начнут расти живые листья. Так Я остановлю вечный ропот народа против вас и Меня».

6 Моисей обратился к израильскому народу, и глава каждого рода дал ему по дорожному посоху. Всего было двенадцать посохов, по одному от главы каждого рода; один же посох принадлежал Аарону.

7 Моисей положил дорожные посохи перед Господом в шатре Соглашения.

8 На следующий день Моисей, войдя в шатёр, увидел, что на дорожном посохе Аарона, посохе семьи Левия, выросли живые листья, на нём даже выросли ветви и миндаль.

9 Моисей вынес все дорожные посохи из жилища Господа и показал их израильскому народу. Все посмотрели на посохи, и каждый взял свой посох обратно.

10 Тогда Господь сказал Моисею: «Положи дорожный посох Аарона перед ковчегом Соглашения. Это будет предупреждением тем, кто восстаёт на Меня, чтобы прекратились их жалобы на Меня, и тогда Я их не погублю».

11 Моисей сделал так, как повелел ему Господь.

12 Израильский народ сказал Моисею: «Мы знаем, что умрём! Мы погибли! Мы знаем, что будем уничтожены!

13 Любой, кто приблизится к святилищу Господа, умрёт! Неужели нам всем придётся умереть?!»

Chapter 17

1 AND the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Speak to the children of Israel, and take from every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, from all their princes according to the house of their fathers, twelve rods; write each man's name upon his rod.

3 And you shall write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi; for one rod shall be for the head of the tribe of their fathers.

4 And you shall put them in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.

5 And it shall come to pass, that the rod of the man with whom I am pleased shall bud; thus I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

6 And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, twelve rods; and the rod of Aaron was in the midst of their rods.

7 And Moses placed the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of the testimony.

8 And on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of the testimony; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and blossomed, and yielded ripe almonds.

9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD to all the children of Israel; and they looked, and took every man his rod.

10 And the LORD said to Moses, Bring Aaron's rod back before the testimony, to be kept as a token for the rebellious children; so that their murmurings may cease from me, that they die not.

11 And Moses did so; as the LORD commanded him, so did he.

12 And the children of Israel said to Moses, Behold, we perish and are lost, we all perish.

13 Whosoever comes near to the tabernacle of the LORD shall die; and, behold, we also are near to perish.

4 Положи эти дорожные посохи в шатре собрания перед ковчегом Соглашения. На том месте Я встречусь с тобой

5 And it shall come to pass, that the rod of the man with whom I am pleased shall bud; thus I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

6 Моисей обратился к израильскому народу, и глава каждого рода дал ему по дорожному посоху. Всего было двенадцать посохов, по одному от главы каждого рода; один же посох принадлежал Аарону.

7 Моисей положил дорожные посохи перед Господом в шатре Соглашения.

7 And Moses placed the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of the testimony.

8 На следующий день Моисей, войдя в шатёр, увидел, что на дорожном посохе Аарона, посохе семьи Левия, выросли живые листья, на нём даже выросли ветви и миндаль.

8 And on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of the testimony; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and blossomed, and yielded ripe almonds.

9 Моисей вынес все дорожные посохи из жилища Господа и показал их израильскому народу. Все посмотрели на посохи, и каждый взял свой посох обратно.

9 And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD to all the children of Israel; and they looked, and took every man his rod.

10 Тогда Господь сказал Моисею: «Положи дорожный посох Аарона перед ковчегом Соглашения. Это будет предупреждением тем, кто восстаёт на Меня, чтобы прекратились их жалобы на Меня, и тогда Я их не погублю».

10 And the LORD said to Moses, Bring Aaron's rod back before the testimony, to be kept as a token for the rebellious children; so that their murmurings may cease from me, that they die not.

11 Моисей сделал так, как повелел ему Господь.

11 And Moses did so; as the LORD commanded him, so did he.

12 Израильский народ сказал Моисею: «Мы знаем, что умрём! Мы погибли! Мы знаем, что будем уничтожены!

12 And the children of Israel said to Moses, Behold, we perish and are lost, we all perish.

13 Любой, кто приблизится к святилищу Господа, умрёт! Неужели нам всем придётся умереть?!»

13 Whosoever comes near to the tabernacle of the LORD shall die; and, behold, we also are near to perish.
