Глава 39

1 В то время Меродах Валадан, сын Валадана, вавилонский царь, услышав о болезни и исцелении Езекии, послал к нему письма и подарок.

2 Езекия радушно принял людей из Вавилона и показал им все ценные вещи в своём доме. Он показал им серебро, золото, пряности, дорогие духи, оружие и всё, что было в его сокровищницах. Не было ничего, чего бы Езекия не показал им в своём дворце и во всём своём царстве.

3 Затем пророк Исаия пришёл к царю Езекии и спросил его: «Что сказали эти люди? Откуда они пришли?» Езекия сказал: «Они пришли навестить меня из далёкой страны, Вавилона».

4 И сказал Исаия: «Что они видели в твоём дворце?» Езекия ответил: «Они всё видели в моём дворце. Не осталось ни одной вещи в моих сокровищницах, которой бы я не показал им».

5 Тогда Исаия сказал Езекии: «Послушай слово Всемогущего Господа:

6 „Наступит время, когда все вещи в твоём дворце и все сокровища, которые собрали твои предки до сегодняшнего дня, будут унесены в Вавилон. Ничего не останется. Так говорит Господь Всемогущий!

7 Вавилоняне заберут твоих сыновей и сделают вельможами во дворце вавилонского царя”».

8 Услышав эти слова, Езекия сказал Исаии: «Это хорошее известие от Господа». А про себя он подумал: «Во все дни моей жизни будет мир и безопасность».

Chapter 39

1 At that time6256 Merodachbaladan,4757 the son1121 of Baladan,1081 king4428 of Babylon,894 sent7971 letters5612 and a present4503 to Hezekiah:2396 for he had heard8085 that he had been sick,2470 and was recovered.2388

2 And Hezekiah2396 was glad8056 of them, and showed7200 them the house1004 of his precious5238 things, the silver,3701 and the gold,2091 and the spices,1314 and the precious2896 ointment,8081 and all3605 the house1004 of his armor,3627 and all3605 that was found4672 in his treasures:214 there was nothing3808 1697 in his house,1004 nor in all3605 his dominion,4475 that Hezekiah2396 showed7200 them not.

3 Then came935 Isaiah3470 the prophet5030 to king4428 Hezekiah,2396 and said559 to him, What4100 said559 these428 men?582 and from where370 came935 they to you? And Hezekiah2396 said,559 They are come935 from a far7350 country776 to me, even from Babylon.894

4 Then said559 he, What4100 have they seen7200 in your house?1004 And Hezekiah2396 answered,559 All3605 that is in my house1004 have they seen:7200 there is nothing3808 1697 among my treasures214 that I have not showed7200 them.

5 Then said559 Isaiah3470 to Hezekiah,2396 Hear8085 the word1697 of the LORD3068 of hosts:6635

6 Behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 that all3605 that is in your house,1004 and that which834 your fathers1 have laid up in store686 until5704 this2088 day,3117 shall be carried5375 to Babylon:894 nothing3808 1697 shall be left,3498 said559 the LORD.3068

7 And of your sons1121 that shall issue3318 from you, which834 you shall beget,3205 shall they take3947 away; and they shall be eunuchs5631 in the palace1964 of the king4428 of Babylon.894

8 Then said559 Hezekiah2396 to Isaiah,3470 Good2896 is the word1697 of the LORD3068 which834 you have spoken.1696 He said559 moreover, For there shall be peace7965 and truth571 in my days.3117

3 Then came935 Isaiah3470 the prophet5030 to king4428 Hezekiah,2396 and said559 to him, What4100 said559 these428 men?582 and from where370 came935 they to you? And Hezekiah2396 said,559 They are come935 from a far7350 country776 to me, even from Babylon.894

4 И сказал Исаия: «Что они видели в твоём дворце?» Езекия ответил: «Они всё видели в моём дворце. Не осталось ни одной вещи в моих сокровищницах, которой бы я не показал им».

5 Тогда Исаия сказал Езекии: «Послушай слово Всемогущего Господа:
