Глава 10

1 Мертвые мухи испортят, и заставят вылить елей мироварника; небольшая глупость портит мужа драгоценного по мудрости и славе.

2 Сердце мудрого на правой стороне его, - а сердце глупого на левой стороне его.

3 И по какой бы дороге глупый ни шел, сердце у него пусто; обо всем он говорит: `это глупо`.

4 Если дух начальника вспыхнет на тебя, то не оставляй своего места, потому что врачевание заглаждает грехи великие.

5 Есть зло, я видел его под этим солнцем, это уподобляется погрешности, происходящей от начальствующего:

6 Невежество поставлено на больших высотах, а богатые сидят низко.

7 Я видел рабов на конях: а князья как рабы ходят пешком по земле.

8 Кто роет яму, тот может упасть в нее; и кто ломает стену, того может ужалить змей.

9 Кто переносит каменья, тот может надсадить себя ими. Кто колет дрова, тот бывает в опасности от того.

10 Если топор притупился, и он не точит острия; то должен будет привести силы в чрезмерное напряжение, а с мудростью больше успеха.

11 Если змей ужалил, когда его не заговаривали; то не имеет преимущества и злоязычный.

12 Слова из уст мудрого - благодать; а горло глупого проглотит его самого.

13 Начало слов уст его - глупость, а конец речей его - пагубное безумие.

14 И глупый наговорит множество слов; ни один человек не знает, чему когда быть; и о том, что будет после него, кто скажет ему?

15 Труд глупого утомит его, потому что он не умеет в город ходить.

16 Беда тебе, земля, когда царь твой - мальчик, и князья твои обедают рано.

17 Счастье твое, земля, когда царь твой есть муж благородный, и князья твои обедают вовремя для подкрепления себя, а не для упоения.

18 От лености прогниет потолок; и когда опустишь руки, протечет дом.

19 Пир делают, чтобы повеселиться, и вино дает жизни отраду, а серебро отвечает за все.

20 И в мысли своей не злословь царя, и в спальной комнате своей не злословь богатого; потому что птица небесная перенесет твое слово, и крылатая передаст речь.

4 If518 the spirit7307 of the ruler4910 rise up5927 against5921 thee, leave5117 not408 thy place;4725 for3588 yielding4832 pacifieth5117 great1419 offenses.2399

5 There is3426 an evil7451 which I have seen7200 under8478 the sun,8121 as an error7684 which proceedeth7945 3318 from4480 6440 the ruler: 7989

6 Folly5529 is set5414 in great7227 dignity,4791 and the rich6223 sit3427 in low place.8216

7 I have seen7200 servants5650 upon5921 horses,5483 and princes8269 walking1980 as servants5650 upon5921 the earth.776

8 He that diggeth2658 a pit1475 shall fall5307 into it; and whoso breaketh6555 a hedge,1447 a serpent5175 shall bite5391 him.

9 Whoso removeth5265 stones68 shall be hurt6087 therewith; and he that cleaveth1234 wood6086 shall be endangered5533 thereby.

10 If518 the iron1270 be blunt,6949 and he1931 do not3808 whet7043 the edge,6440 then must he put to1396 more strength:2428 but wisdom2451 is profitable3504 to direct.3787

11 Surely518 the serpent5175 will bite5391 without3808 enchantment;3908 and a babbler1167 3956 is no369 better.3504

12 The words1697 of a wise man's2450 mouth6310 are gracious;2580 but the lips8193 of a fool3684 will swallow up1104 himself.

13 The beginning8462 of the words1697 of his mouth6310 is foolishness:5531 and the end319 of his talk6310 is mischievous7451 madness.1948

14 A fool5530 also is full7235 of words:1697 a man120 cannot3808 tell3045 what shall be;4100 7945 1961 and what834 shall be1961 after4480 310 him, who4310 can tell5046 him?

15 The labor5999 of the foolish3684 wearieth3021 every one of them, because834 he knoweth3045 not3808 how to go1980 to413 the city.5892
