Глава 25

1 О Вечный, Ты – мой Бог; превознесу Тебя и имя Твоё прославлю,потому что Ты явил Свою верность, совершив дивные дела, задуманные Тобой издавна.

2 Ты обратил город в груду развалин, укреплённый город – в руины;не стало в городе крепости чужеземцев – она никогда не отстроится.

3 Поэтому сильные народы прославят Тебя; города беспощадных народов будут Тебя чтить.

4 Ты был прибежищем бедному, прибежищем нищему в его беде,кровом от бури, тенью от зноя;потому что дыхание беспощадных было подобно буре против стены,

5 шум чужеземцев был подобен зною на пересохшей земле.Но Ты усмирил зной тенью облаков; стихла песнь беспощадных.

6 На этой горе Вечный, Повелитель Сил, приготовит для всех народовтрапезу из сытных яств, трапезу из выдержанных вин –яств с костным мозгом и вин очищенных.

7 На этой горе Он уничтожит покрывало, окутывающее все народы,пелену, покрывающую все племена;

8 Он навеки поглотит смерть.Владыка Вечный утрёт слёзы со всех лиц;Он снимет бесчестие со Своего народа по всей земле. Так сказал Вечный.

9 В тот день будут говорить:– Вот Он, наш Бог; мы верили Ему, и Он спас нас.Это Вечный, мы верили Ему; возрадуемся и возвеселимся в Его спасении.

10 Рука Вечного будет покоиться на этой горе; но Моав будет растоптан под Ним, как топчут солому в навозе.

11 Раскинет Моав свои руки в навозе, как пловец простирает руки, чтобы плыть.Всевышний унизит его гордость, как бы он ни старался.

12 Его высокие, укреплённые стены Он повергнет и обрушит; Он низвергнет их на землю, в прах.

Isaiah

Chapter 25

1 O LORD, thou art my God; I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things, and given faithful counsel from afar, amen.

2 For thou hast reduced a city to a heap, the fortified city to a ruin; the palace of the strangers and the city are never to be built again.

3 Therefore many peoples shall praise thee, the city of the mighty nations shall worship thee.

4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a helper to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; for the blast of the mighty ones is as a storm against the wall.

5 Thou shalt blot out the pride of aliens as the shadow at noonday, and as the heat is blotted out by the shade of a cloud; thus the branch of the mighty ones shall be humbled.

6 And on this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make for all peoples a lavish feast, a feast of old and rich wines, from the things that belong to our heavenly Saviour and the Mighty One.

7 And he will destroy on this mountain the prestige of the ruler who ruled over all the peoples, because of the slaughter which was made among all the peoples.

8 He will swallow up death in victory for ever; and the LORD God of hosts will wipe away the tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people he shall take away from off all the earth; for the LORD has spoken it.

9 And it shall be said on that day, Lo, this is the LORD our God; we have waited for him, and he shall save us; this is the LORD our God, we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

10 For on this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down with the threshing sled.

11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as a swimmer spreads forth his hands to swim; and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their bands.

12 And the fortress of treason of your rebellious men and your strong walls he shall tear down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.
