1 Моисей в ту пору пас овец тестя своего Иофора, священника мидьянского. Однажды, когда ушел он со стадом далеко в пустыню и приблизился к горе Божией, Хориву,

2 явился ему ангел ГОСПОДЕНЬ, предстал огнем пылающим в терновом кусте. Смотрит Моисей: терновый куст охвачен огнем, но кусту от того огня нет никакого вреда.

3 «Надо пойти и посмотреть, — решил он, — что это за странное явление?! Почему не сгорает куст?»

4 Когда же ГОСПОДЬ увидел, что Моисей идет посмотреть, Он воззвал к нему из горящего куста: «Моисей! Моисей!» «Да, Господи!» — откликнулся тот.

5 Бог остерег его: «Не подходи ближе. Сними обувь свою, ибо место, на котором ты стоишь, свято!

6 Я Бог отца твоего, — сказал Он Моисею, — Я Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова». Моисей закрыл лицо свое, боясь взглянуть на Бога.

7 ГОСПОДЬ продолжал: «Я вижу, давно уже вижу, какие муки терпит народ Мой в Египте, слышу его отчаянные вопли под ударами надсмотрщиков, ведомы Мне страдания народа Моего;

8 и Я сошел, чтобы избавить его от гнета египтян и вывести его из той земли в землю плодородную, с лугами пространными, в ту, что источает молоко и мед, — в землю ханаанеев, хеттов, амореев, периззеев, хиввеев и евусеев.

9 Вопль сынов Израилевых побуждает Меня ныне действовать, да и Сам Я вижу, как жестоко египтяне угнетают их.

10 Поэтому Я посылаю тебя к фараону: иди и выведи из Египта народ Мой, сынов Израилевых!»

11 Тогда Моисей попытался возразить Богу: «Кто я такой, чтобы мне идти к фараону? Мне ли вывести сынов Израилевых из Египта?»

12 «Ты сможешь это сделать, ибо Я буду с тобой, — сказал ему Бог. — И вот что станет для тебя знаком того, что именно Я послал тебя: когда ты выведешь народ из Египта, вы будете поклоняться Мне на этой самой горе».

13 Но Моисей продолжал вопрошать Бога: «Вот приду я к сынам Израилевым и скажу им: „Бог отцов ваших послал меня к вам“, а они спросят меня: „Как Ему имя?“, что ответить мне?»

14 Бог сказал ему: «Я есмь Тот, Кто есть». И при этом добавил: «Так ответь сынам Израилевым: „Тот, Чье имя „Я-есмь“, послал меня к вам“».

15 И еще Бог сказал Моисею: «Ты будешь так говорить сынам Израилевым: „ГОСПОДЬ, Бог отцов ваших, Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова, послал меня к вам“. Знай же, это — имя Мое навеки. Пусть они так и призывают Меня в молитвах своих из поколения в поколение!

16 А теперь иди, созови старейшин Израиля и скажи им: „ГОСПОДЬ, Бог отцов ваших, Бог Авраама, Исаака и Иакова, явился мне и сказал: „Я непрестанно следил за всем, что происходит с вами, и видел, как поступали с вами египтяне,

17 и решил избавить вас от гнета египетского. Я введу вас в землю ханаанеев, хеттов, амореев, периззеев, хиввеев и евусеев, в землю, что источает молоко и мед““.

18 Старейшины Израиля согласятся с тем, что ты им скажешь. Вместе с ними ты пойдешь к царю египетскому, и вы скажете ему: „Неожиданно для нас ГОСПОДЬ, Бог наш, Бог евреев, явился нам, и потому мы просим тебя отпустить нас в пустыню, на три дня пути, чтобы могли мы принести жертвы ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему“.

19 Я знаю, что царь египетский не отпустит вас, даже если будет принуждаем к тому рукой сильной.

20 Он не отпустит вас, пока Я не вмешаюсь и не сокрушу Египет чудесами, которые Я там совершу.

21 И к просьбам вашим египтяне отнесутся милостиво — Я склоню их к этому, и вы покинете Египет не с пустыми руками.

22 Пусть каждая женщина выпросит у своей соседки-египтянки и у той, которой случится жить в ее доме, вещи серебряные и золотые и одежду; это вы наденете на детей ваших и унесете с собой много добра из Египта».

Chapter 3

1 NOW Moses was feeding the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the desert and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

2 And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush was on fire, and the bush was not consumed.

3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.

4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

5 And he said, Do not draw near; take your shoes from off your feet, for the place whereon you are standing is holy ground.

6 Moreover he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look at God.

7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

8 And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come to me; and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring forth my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.

11 And Moses said to God, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?

12 And God said to him, I will be with you; and this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: when you have brought forth the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God upon this mountain.

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I go to the children of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say to them?

14 And God said to Moses, I am AHIAH ASHAR HIGH (that is, THE LIVING GOD); and he said, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: AHIAH has sent me to you.

15 And God said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel: The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you; this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations.

16 Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, I have surely remembered you and seen that which is done to you in Egypt;

17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of the Egyptians to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

18 And they shall hearken to your voice; and you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has appeared to us; and now let us go three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

19 And I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go, except by force.

20 And I will stretch out my hand and smite the Egyptians with all kinds of wonders which I will do among them; and after that Pharaoh will let you go.

21 And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall come to pass that, when you go, you shall not go empty-handed;

22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbor and of her that sojourns in her house, jewels of silver and jewels of gold and clothes; and you shall put them on your sons, and on your daughters; and you shall despoil the Egyptians.

1 NOW Moses was feeding the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the desert and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

2 явился ему ангел ГОСПОДЕНЬ, предстал огнем пылающим в терновом кусте. Смотрит Моисей: терновый куст охвачен огнем, но кусту от того огня нет никакого вреда.

2 And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush was on fire, and the bush was not consumed.

3 «Надо пойти и посмотреть, — решил он, — что это за странное явление?! Почему не сгорает куст?»

3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.

4 Когда же ГОСПОДЬ увидел, что Моисей идет посмотреть, Он воззвал к нему из горящего куста: «Моисей! Моисей!» «Да, Господи!» — откликнулся тот.

4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

5 Бог остерег его: «Не подходи ближе. Сними обувь свою, ибо место, на котором ты стоишь, свято!

5 And he said, Do not draw near; take your shoes from off your feet, for the place whereon you are standing is holy ground.

6 Я Бог отца твоего, — сказал Он Моисею, — Я Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова». Моисей закрыл лицо свое, боясь взглянуть на Бога.

6 Moreover he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look at God.

7 ГОСПОДЬ продолжал: «Я вижу, давно уже вижу, какие муки терпит народ Мой в Египте, слышу его отчаянные вопли под ударами надсмотрщиков, ведомы Мне страдания народа Моего;

7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

8 и Я сошел, чтобы избавить его от гнета египтян и вывести его из той земли в землю плодородную, с лугами пространными, в ту, что источает молоко и мед, — в землю ханаанеев, хеттов, амореев, периззеев, хиввеев и евусеев.

8 And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

9 Вопль сынов Израилевых побуждает Меня ныне действовать, да и Сам Я вижу, как жестоко египтяне угнетают их.

9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come to me; and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

10 Поэтому Я посылаю тебя к фараону: иди и выведи из Египта народ Мой, сынов Израилевых!»

10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring forth my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.

11 Тогда Моисей попытался возразить Богу: «Кто я такой, чтобы мне идти к фараону? Мне ли вывести сынов Израилевых из Египта?»

11 And Moses said to God, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?

12 «Ты сможешь это сделать, ибо Я буду с тобой, — сказал ему Бог. — И вот что станет для тебя знаком того, что именно Я послал тебя: когда ты выведешь народ из Египта, вы будете поклоняться Мне на этой самой горе».

12 And God said to him, I will be with you; and this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: when you have brought forth the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God upon this mountain.

13 Но Моисей продолжал вопрошать Бога: «Вот приду я к сынам Израилевым и скажу им: „Бог отцов ваших послал меня к вам“, а они спросят меня: „Как Ему имя?“, что ответить мне?»

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I go to the children of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say to them?

14 Бог сказал ему: «Я есмь Тот, Кто есть». И при этом добавил: «Так ответь сынам Израилевым: „Тот, Чье имя „Я-есмь“, послал меня к вам“».

14 And God said to Moses, I am AHIAH ASHAR HIGH (that is, THE LIVING GOD); and he said, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: AHIAH has sent me to you.

15 И еще Бог сказал Моисею: «Ты будешь так говорить сынам Израилевым: „ГОСПОДЬ, Бог отцов ваших, Бог Авраама, Бог Исаака и Бог Иакова, послал меня к вам“. Знай же, это — имя Мое навеки. Пусть они так и призывают Меня в молитвах своих из поколения в поколение!

15 And God said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel: The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you; this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations.

16 А теперь иди, созови старейшин Израиля и скажи им: „ГОСПОДЬ, Бог отцов ваших, Бог Авраама, Исаака и Иакова, явился мне и сказал: „Я непрестанно следил за всем, что происходит с вами, и видел, как поступали с вами египтяне,

16 Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, I have surely remembered you and seen that which is done to you in Egypt;

17 и решил избавить вас от гнета египетского. Я введу вас в землю ханаанеев, хеттов, амореев, периззеев, хиввеев и евусеев, в землю, что источает молоко и мед““.

17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of the Egyptians to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

18 Старейшины Израиля согласятся с тем, что ты им скажешь. Вместе с ними ты пойдешь к царю египетскому, и вы скажете ему: „Неожиданно для нас ГОСПОДЬ, Бог наш, Бог евреев, явился нам, и потому мы просим тебя отпустить нас в пустыню, на три дня пути, чтобы могли мы принести жертвы ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему“.

18 And they shall hearken to your voice; and you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has appeared to us; and now let us go three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

19 Я знаю, что царь египетский не отпустит вас, даже если будет принуждаем к тому рукой сильной.

19 And I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go, except by force.

20 Он не отпустит вас, пока Я не вмешаюсь и не сокрушу Египет чудесами, которые Я там совершу.

20 And I will stretch out my hand and smite the Egyptians with all kinds of wonders which I will do among them; and after that Pharaoh will let you go.

21 И к просьбам вашим египтяне отнесутся милостиво — Я склоню их к этому, и вы покинете Египет не с пустыми руками.

21 And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall come to pass that, when you go, you shall not go empty-handed;

22 Пусть каждая женщина выпросит у своей соседки-египтянки и у той, которой случится жить в ее доме, вещи серебряные и золотые и одежду; это вы наденете на детей ваших и унесете с собой много добра из Египта».

22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbor and of her that sojourns in her house, jewels of silver and jewels of gold and clothes; and you shall put them on your sons, and on your daughters; and you shall despoil the Egyptians.
