Глава 39

1 В девятый год правления Седекии, царя иудейского, в десятом месяце, Навуходоносор, царь вавилонский, со всем своим войском пошел войной на Иерусалим и осадил его.

2 В одиннадцатый год правления Седекии, в девятый день четвертого месяца, была пробита брешь в городской стене.

3 Все военачальники царя вавилонского вошли в город и расположились у Центральных ворот: Нергаль-Сар-Эцер, Самгар-Неву, Сар-Сехим, начальствующий над царедворцами, Нергаль-Сар-Эцер, начальствующий над магами, и остальные вельможи царя вавилонского.

4 Когда Седекия, царь иудейский, и все его воины увидели, что город захвачен, они бежали, выйдя из города ночью через царский сад, а затем через тайный ход между двойными стенами — на дорогу, что вела в пустыню.

5 Халдейское войско пустилось в погоню и настигло Седекию в долине Иерихонской; схватили его и привели к Навуходоносору, царю вавилонскому, в Ривлу, в земле Хамат, и там Навуходоносор вынес ему приговор.

6 Царь вавилонский казнил сыновей Седекии в Ривле прямо у него на глазах и убил всех знатных людей Иудеи.

7 Самому Седекии он выколол глаза, заковал его в медные оковы и отправил в Вавилон.

8 Царский дворец и жилища простого народа халдеи подожгли, а стены Иерусалима разрушили.

9 Всех, кто еще оставался в городе, и перебежчиков, что перешли на сторону врага, и всех прочих, кто еще уцелел, Невузарадан, начальник стражи, увел пленниками в Вавилон.

10 А тех бедных людей, у которых ничего не было, Невузарадан, начальник стражи, оставил в земле иудейской и даже раздал им в тот же день виноградники и поля.

11 Об Иеремии Навуходоносор, царь вавилонский, дал Невузарадану, начальнику стражи, такое повеление:

12 «Возьми этого пленника и позаботься о нем, не причини ему никакого вреда и, о чем бы он тебя ни попросил, исполни».

13 Тогда Невузарадан, начальник стражи, а также Невушазбан, начальствующий над царедворцами, и Нергаль-Сар-Эцер, начальствующий над магами, и все военачальники царя вавилонского

14 послали за Иеремией, и привели его со двора стражи и передали Гедалье, сыну Ахикама, внуку Шафана, чтобы тот забрал его к себе; но Иеремия остался жить среди своего народа.

15 Когда Иеремия был еще в заключении во дворе стражи, было к нему слово ГОСПОДНЕ:

16 «Иди и скажи Эведмелеху, уроженцу Куша: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Я исполню пророчества Свои не во благо этому городу, а на беду, будет день — и ты сам это увидишь.

17 Но тебя в тот день Я спасу, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — и ты не будешь предан в руки людей, которых боишься.

18 Я воистину от бед избавлю тебя, и ты не погибнешь от меча, и будет жизнь тебе наградой, ибо ты положился на Меня“», — говорит ГОСПОДЬ.

Chapter 39

1 IN the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem and besieged it.

2 And in the eleventh year of King Zedekiah, in the fifth month, on the ninth day of the month, the city was breached.

3 And all the princes of the king of Babylon came in and sat in the middle gate, even Nergal-sharezar, Samgar-nebo, Sarsechim chief of eunuchs, Nergal-sharezar, Rab-mag, with all of the princes of the king of Babylon.

4 And it came to pass, when Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, they fled and went out of the city by night by the way of the king's garden by the gate between the two walls; and they went out by the way of the plain.

5 But the Chaldean's army pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him; and they took him and brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Diblath in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced judgment upon him.

6 Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Diblath before his eyes; also the king of Babylon slew all the princes of Judah.

7 Moreover, he put out Zedekiah's eyes and bound him in chains, to carry him to Babylon.

8 And the Chaldeans burned the king's house and the houses of the people with fire, and broke down the entire wall of Jerusalem round about.

9 Then Nebuzaradan the general of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people who were left in the city and those who had deserted to him, with the rest of the people that remained.

10 But Nebuzaradan the general of the guard left in the land of Judah some of the poor people, who had nothing, and gave them vineyards and work at the same time.

11 Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon gave orders concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan the general of the guard, saying,

12 Take Jeremiah and treat him well and do him no harm; but do to him anything that he shall say to you.

13 So Nebuzaradan the general of the guard, Nebushazban the chief of the eunuchs, Nergal-sharezar. Rab-mag, and all the princes of the king of Babylon

14 Sent and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison and committed him to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should have him sent back to his home; so he dwelt among the people.

15 Now the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah while he was shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

16 Go and say to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before you.

17 But I will deliver you in that day, says the LORD; and you shall not be delivered into the hand of men of whom you are afraid.

18 For I will surely deliver you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but your life shall be spared because you have put your trust in me, says the LORD.

1 IN the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem and besieged it.

2 В одиннадцатый год правления Седекии, в девятый день четвертого месяца, была пробита брешь в городской стене.

2 And in the eleventh year of King Zedekiah, in the fifth month, on the ninth day of the month, the city was breached.

3 Все военачальники царя вавилонского вошли в город и расположились у Центральных ворот: Нергаль-Сар-Эцер, Самгар-Неву, Сар-Сехим, начальствующий над царедворцами, Нергаль-Сар-Эцер, начальствующий над магами, и остальные вельможи царя вавилонского.

3 And all the princes of the king of Babylon came in and sat in the middle gate, even Nergal-sharezar, Samgar-nebo, Sarsechim chief of eunuchs, Nergal-sharezar, Rab-mag, with all of the princes of the king of Babylon.

4 Когда Седекия, царь иудейский, и все его воины увидели, что город захвачен, они бежали, выйдя из города ночью через царский сад, а затем через тайный ход между двойными стенами — на дорогу, что вела в пустыню.

4 And it came to pass, when Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, they fled and went out of the city by night by the way of the king's garden by the gate between the two walls; and they went out by the way of the plain.

5 Халдейское войско пустилось в погоню и настигло Седекию в долине Иерихонской; схватили его и привели к Навуходоносору, царю вавилонскому, в Ривлу, в земле Хамат, и там Навуходоносор вынес ему приговор.

5 But the Chaldean's army pursued them and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him; and they took him and brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Diblath in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced judgment upon him.

6 Царь вавилонский казнил сыновей Седекии в Ривле прямо у него на глазах и убил всех знатных людей Иудеи.

6 Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Diblath before his eyes; also the king of Babylon slew all the princes of Judah.

7 Самому Седекии он выколол глаза, заковал его в медные оковы и отправил в Вавилон.

7 Moreover, he put out Zedekiah's eyes and bound him in chains, to carry him to Babylon.

8 Царский дворец и жилища простого народа халдеи подожгли, а стены Иерусалима разрушили.

8 And the Chaldeans burned the king's house and the houses of the people with fire, and broke down the entire wall of Jerusalem round about.

9 Всех, кто еще оставался в городе, и перебежчиков, что перешли на сторону врага, и всех прочих, кто еще уцелел, Невузарадан, начальник стражи, увел пленниками в Вавилон.

10 А тех бедных людей, у которых ничего не было, Невузарадан, начальник стражи, оставил в земле иудейской и даже раздал им в тот же день виноградники и поля.

10 But Nebuzaradan the general of the guard left in the land of Judah some of the poor people, who had nothing, and gave them vineyards and work at the same time.

11 Об Иеремии Навуходоносор, царь вавилонский, дал Невузарадану, начальнику стражи, такое повеление:

11 Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon gave orders concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan the general of the guard, saying,

12 «Возьми этого пленника и позаботься о нем, не причини ему никакого вреда и, о чем бы он тебя ни попросил, исполни».

12 Take Jeremiah and treat him well and do him no harm; but do to him anything that he shall say to you.

13 Тогда Невузарадан, начальник стражи, а также Невушазбан, начальствующий над царедворцами, и Нергаль-Сар-Эцер, начальствующий над магами, и все военачальники царя вавилонского

13 So Nebuzaradan the general of the guard, Nebushazban the chief of the eunuchs, Nergal-sharezar. Rab-mag, and all the princes of the king of Babylon

14 послали за Иеремией, и привели его со двора стражи и передали Гедалье, сыну Ахикама, внуку Шафана, чтобы тот забрал его к себе; но Иеремия остался жить среди своего народа.

14 Sent and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison and committed him to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should have him sent back to his home; so he dwelt among the people.

15 Когда Иеремия был еще в заключении во дворе стражи, было к нему слово ГОСПОДНЕ:

15 Now the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah while he was shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

16 «Иди и скажи Эведмелеху, уроженцу Куша: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Я исполню пророчества Свои не во благо этому городу, а на беду, будет день — и ты сам это увидишь.

16 Go and say to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before you.

17 Но тебя в тот день Я спасу, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — и ты не будешь предан в руки людей, которых боишься.

17 But I will deliver you in that day, says the LORD; and you shall not be delivered into the hand of men of whom you are afraid.

18 Я воистину от бед избавлю тебя, и ты не погибнешь от меча, и будет жизнь тебе наградой, ибо ты положился на Меня“», — говорит ГОСПОДЬ.

18 For I will surely deliver you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but your life shall be spared because you have put your trust in me, says the LORD.
