Глава 42

1 После этого все военачальники, Иоханан, сын Кареаха, Иезанья, сын Хошаи, и весь народ от мала до велика подошли к пророку Иеремии

2 и сказали ему: «Выслушай нашу просьбу и помолись о нас ГОСПОДУ, Богу твоему, помолись о тех, кто еще остался в живых, потому что, как ты сам видишь, из былого множества мало кто уцелел.

3 Пусть возвестит нам ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, куда нам идти и что делать».

4 Ответил им пророк Иеремия: «Просьба ваша мне понятна. Я помолюсь ГОСПОДУ, Богу вашему, как вы просили, и, что бы Он ни ответил, я расскажу вам, не скрою от вас ни слова».

5 И сказали они Иеремии: «Сам ГОСПОДЬ да будет нам свидетелем истинным и неколебимым: мы поступим по слову ГОСПОДА, Бога твоего, которое Он ниспошлет тебе о нас.

6 Доброе это будет слово или недоброе, мы послушаемся ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего, к Которому мы тебя посылаем, и будет у нас всё хорошо, если будем повиноваться голосу ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего».

7 Через десять дней снова было Иеремии слово ГОСПОДНЕ.

8 Иеремия позвал Иоханана, сына Кареаха, и всех военачальников, что были с ним, и весь народ от мала до велика

9 и сказал им: «Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ, Бог Израиля, к Которому вы меня послали, чтобы я вознес к Нему вашу просьбу:

10 „Если вы останетесь жить на этой земле, тогда Я восстановлю ваши города и не буду более разрушать, насажу и не буду корчевать, ибо Я помилую вас и отменю то бедствие, которому подверг вас.

11 Не бойтесь царя вавилонского, которого вы так страшитесь, не бойтесь его, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — потому что Я с вами, чтобы избавлять вас и оберегать от него.

12 Я явлю вам милосердие, чтобы и он явил вам милость и вернул вас на свои земли“.

13 Но если вы по-прежнему будете говорить: „Мы не останемся жить на этой земле“ — и не будете слушаться ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего,

14 и будете говорить: „Нет, мы пойдем в Египет, где мы не увидим войны, не услышим звука походной трубы, не будем голодать, не останемся без хлеба, и там будем жить“,

15 то выслушай такое слово ГОСПОДНЕ, остаток Иудеи: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: если вы вознамеритесь идти в Египет и пойдете туда, чтобы поселиться там и быть пришлыми,

16 тот меч, которого вы боитесь, настигнет вас там, в Египте, и голод, которого вы опасаетесь, нагонит вас именно в Египте, и там вы умрете.

17 Все люди, которые вознамерились идти в Египет, чтобы укрыться и жить там, умрут от меча, голода и морового поветрия, и не останется ни одного выжившего, ни спасшегося от бедствия, которое Я нашлю на них“.

18 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Как излился гнев Мой и ярость на жителей Иерусалима, так ярость Моя изольется на вас, когда вы пойдете в Египет, и будете наводить ужас на всех; там будут проклинать вас, глумиться над вами и насмехаться, и никогда больше не увидите этой земли“.

19 ГОСПОДЬ говорил тебе, остаток Иудеи: „Не ходите в Египет“, так знайте же, что сегодня я предостерег вас всех.

20 Заблуждаетесь вы, подвергая свою жизнь опасности, ведь вы послали меня к ГОСПОДУ, Богу вашему, прося: „Помолись о нас ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему, и всё, что скажет ГОСПОДЬ, Бог наш, передай нам, и мы исполним“.

21 Сегодня я возвестил вам это, но вы не послушались ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, не вняли ничему из того, что Он велел мне передать вам.

22 Так знайте же теперь, что вы умрете от меча, голода и морового поветрия в том месте, куда вы мечтаете перебраться и быть там пришлыми».

1 Then all3605 the captains8269 of the forces,2428 and Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and Jezaniah3153 the son1121 of Hoshaiah,1955 and all3605 the people5971 from the least6996 even to the greatest,1419 came5066 near,5066

2 And said559 to Jeremiah3414 the prophet,5030 Let, we beseech4994 you, our supplication8467 be accepted5307 before6440 you, and pray6419 for us to the LORD3068 your God,430 even for all3605 this2063 remnant;7611 (for we are left7604 but a few4592 of many,7235 as your eyes5869 do behold7200 us:)

3 That the LORD3068 your God430 may show5046 us the way1870 wherein834 we may walk,1980 and the thing1697 that we may do.6213

4 Then Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 said559 to them, I have heard8085 you; behold,2005 I will pray6419 to the LORD3068 your God430 according to your words;1697 and it shall come1961 to pass, that whatever3605 thing1697 the LORD3068 shall answer6030 you, I will declare5046 it to you; I will keep4513 nothing3808 1697 back4513 from you.

5 Then they said559 to Jeremiah,3414 The LORD3068 be a true571 and faithful539 witness5707 between996 us, if518 we do6213 not even3651 according to all3605 things1697 for the which834 the LORD3068 your God430 shall send7971 you to us.

6 Whether518 it be good,2896 or whether518 it be evil,7451 we will obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God,430 to whom we send7971 you; that it may be well2896 with us, when3588 we obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God.430

7 And it came1961 to pass after7093 ten6235 days,3117 that the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to Jeremiah.3414

8 Then called7121 he Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces2428 which834 were with him, and all3605 the people5971 from the least6996 even to the greatest,1419

9 And said559 to them, Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 the God430 of Israel,3478 to whom834 413 you sent7971 me to present5307 your supplication8467 before6440 him;

10 If518 you will still abide3427 in this2063 land,776 then will I build1129 you, and not pull2040 you down, and I will plant5193 you, and not pluck5428 you up: for I repent5162 me of the evil7451 that I have done6213 to you.

11 Be not afraid3372 of the king4428 of Babylon,894 of whom834 6440 you are afraid;3373 be not afraid3372 of him, said5002 the LORD:3068 for I am with you to save3467 you, and to deliver5337 you from his hand.3027

12 And I will show5414 mercies7356 to you, that he may have mercy7355 on you, and cause you to return7725 to your own land.127

13 But if518 you say,559 We will not dwell3427 in this2063 land,776 neither1115 obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God,430

14 Saying,559 No;3808 but we will go935 into the land776 of Egypt,4714 where834 we shall see7200 no3808 war,4421 nor3808 hear8085 the sound6963 of the trumpet,7782 nor3808 have hunger7456 of bread;3899 and there8033 will we dwell:3427

15 And now6258 therefore3651 hear8085 the word1697 of the LORD,3068 you remnant7611 of Judah;3063 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 If518 you wholly7760 set7760 your faces6440 to enter935 into Egypt,4714 and go935 to sojourn1481 there;8033

16 Then it shall come1961 to pass, that the sword,2719 which834 you feared,3373 shall overtake5381 you there8033 in the land776 of Egypt,4714 and the famine,7458 whereof834 you were afraid,1672 shall follow1692 close1692 after310 you there8033 in Egypt;4714 and there8033 you shall die.4191

17 So shall it be with all3605 the men582 that set7760 their faces6440 to go935 into935 Egypt4714 to sojourn1481 there;8033 they shall die4191 by the sword,2719 by the famine,7458 and by the pestilence:1698 and none3808 of them shall remain8300 or escape6412 from the evil7451 that I will bring935 on them.

18 For thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 As my anger639 and my fury2534 has been poured5413 forth on the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem;3389 so3651 shall my fury2534 be poured5413 forth on you, when you shall enter935 into935 Egypt:4714 and you shall be an execration,423 and an astonishment,8047 and a curse,7045 and a reproach;2781 and you shall see7200 this2088 place4725 no3808 more.5750

19 The LORD3068 has said1696 concerning5921 you, O you remnant7611 of Judah;3063 Go935 you not into Egypt:4714 know3045 certainly that I have admonished5749 you this day.3117

20 For you dissembled8582 in your hearts,5315 when3588 you sent7971 me to the LORD3068 your God,430 saying,559 Pray6419 for us to the LORD3068 our God;430 and according to all3605 that the LORD3068 our God430 shall say,559 so3651 declare5046 to us, and we will do6213 it.

21 And now I have this day3117 declared5046 it to you; but you have not obeyed8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God,430 nor any3605 thing for the which834 he has sent7971 me to you.

22 Now6258 therefore know3045 certainly that you shall die4191 by the sword,2719 by the famine,7458 and by the pestilence,1698 in the place4725 where834 8033 you desire2654 to go935 and to sojourn.1481

2 и сказали ему: «Выслушай нашу просьбу и помолись о нас ГОСПОДУ, Богу твоему, помолись о тех, кто еще остался в живых, потому что, как ты сам видишь, из былого множества мало кто уцелел.

2 And said559 to Jeremiah3414 the prophet,5030 Let, we beseech4994 you, our supplication8467 be accepted5307 before6440 you, and pray6419 for us to the LORD3068 your God,430 even for all3605 this2063 remnant;7611 (for we are left7604 but a few4592 of many,7235 as your eyes5869 do behold7200 us:)

4 Ответил им пророк Иеремия: «Просьба ваша мне понятна. Я помолюсь ГОСПОДУ, Богу вашему, как вы просили, и, что бы Он ни ответил, я расскажу вам, не скрою от вас ни слова».

4 Then Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 said559 to them, I have heard8085 you; behold,2005 I will pray6419 to the LORD3068 your God430 according to your words;1697 and it shall come1961 to pass, that whatever3605 thing1697 the LORD3068 shall answer6030 you, I will declare5046 it to you; I will keep4513 nothing3808 1697 back4513 from you.

5 И сказали они Иеремии: «Сам ГОСПОДЬ да будет нам свидетелем истинным и неколебимым: мы поступим по слову ГОСПОДА, Бога твоего, которое Он ниспошлет тебе о нас.

5 Then they said559 to Jeremiah,3414 The LORD3068 be a true571 and faithful539 witness5707 between996 us, if518 we do6213 not even3651 according to all3605 things1697 for the which834 the LORD3068 your God430 shall send7971 you to us.

6 Доброе это будет слово или недоброе, мы послушаемся ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего, к Которому мы тебя посылаем, и будет у нас всё хорошо, если будем повиноваться голосу ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего».

6 Whether518 it be good,2896 or whether518 it be evil,7451 we will obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God,430 to whom we send7971 you; that it may be well2896 with us, when3588 we obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God.430

7 Через десять дней снова было Иеремии слово ГОСПОДНЕ.

7 And it came1961 to pass after7093 ten6235 days,3117 that the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to Jeremiah.3414

8 Иеремия позвал Иоханана, сына Кареаха, и всех военачальников, что были с ним, и весь народ от мала до велика

8 Then called7121 he Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces2428 which834 were with him, and all3605 the people5971 from the least6996 even to the greatest,1419

9 и сказал им: «Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ, Бог Израиля, к Которому вы меня послали, чтобы я вознес к Нему вашу просьбу:

9 And said559 to them, Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 the God430 of Israel,3478 to whom834 413 you sent7971 me to present5307 your supplication8467 before6440 him;

10 „Если вы останетесь жить на этой земле, тогда Я восстановлю ваши города и не буду более разрушать, насажу и не буду корчевать, ибо Я помилую вас и отменю то бедствие, которому подверг вас.

10 If518 you will still abide3427 in this2063 land,776 then will I build1129 you, and not pull2040 you down, and I will plant5193 you, and not pluck5428 you up: for I repent5162 me of the evil7451 that I have done6213 to you.

11 Не бойтесь царя вавилонского, которого вы так страшитесь, не бойтесь его, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — потому что Я с вами, чтобы избавлять вас и оберегать от него.

11 Be not afraid3372 of the king4428 of Babylon,894 of whom834 6440 you are afraid;3373 be not afraid3372 of him, said5002 the LORD:3068 for I am with you to save3467 you, and to deliver5337 you from his hand.3027

12 Я явлю вам милосердие, чтобы и он явил вам милость и вернул вас на свои земли“.

12 And I will show5414 mercies7356 to you, that he may have mercy7355 on you, and cause you to return7725 to your own land.127

13 Но если вы по-прежнему будете говорить: „Мы не останемся жить на этой земле“ — и не будете слушаться ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего,

13 But if518 you say,559 We will not dwell3427 in this2063 land,776 neither1115 obey8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 your God,430

14 и будете говорить: „Нет, мы пойдем в Египет, где мы не увидим войны, не услышим звука походной трубы, не будем голодать, не останемся без хлеба, и там будем жить“,

14 Saying,559 No;3808 but we will go935 into the land776 of Egypt,4714 where834 we shall see7200 no3808 war,4421 nor3808 hear8085 the sound6963 of the trumpet,7782 nor3808 have hunger7456 of bread;3899 and there8033 will we dwell:3427

15 то выслушай такое слово ГОСПОДНЕ, остаток Иудеи: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: если вы вознамеритесь идти в Египет и пойдете туда, чтобы поселиться там и быть пришлыми,

17 Все люди, которые вознамерились идти в Египет, чтобы укрыться и жить там, умрут от меча, голода и морового поветрия, и не останется ни одного выжившего, ни спасшегося от бедствия, которое Я нашлю на них“.

18 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Как излился гнев Мой и ярость на жителей Иерусалима, так ярость Моя изольется на вас, когда вы пойдете в Египет, и будете наводить ужас на всех; там будут проклинать вас, глумиться над вами и насмехаться, и никогда больше не увидите этой земли“.

19 ГОСПОДЬ говорил тебе, остаток Иудеи: „Не ходите в Египет“, так знайте же, что сегодня я предостерег вас всех.

19 The LORD3068 has said1696 concerning5921 you, O you remnant7611 of Judah;3063 Go935 you not into Egypt:4714 know3045 certainly that I have admonished5749 you this day.3117

20 Заблуждаетесь вы, подвергая свою жизнь опасности, ведь вы послали меня к ГОСПОДУ, Богу вашему, прося: „Помолись о нас ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему, и всё, что скажет ГОСПОДЬ, Бог наш, передай нам, и мы исполним“.

21 Сегодня я возвестил вам это, но вы не послушались ГОСПОДА, Бога вашего, не вняли ничему из того, что Он велел мне передать вам.
