Глава 29

1 Письмо, которое пророк Иеремия послал из Иерусалима оставшимся в живых старейшинам, что пребывали в изгнании, а также священникам, пророкам и всему народу, уведенному Навуходоносором в плен из Иерусалима в Вавилон.

2 Случилось это после того, как царь Иехония, царица-мать, царедворцы, вельможи Иудеи и Иерусалима, ремесленники и кузнецы были уведены из Иерусалима.

3 Доставили это письмо пленникам Эльяса, сын Шафана, и Гемарья, сын Хилкии, которых Седекия, царь иудейский, послал в Вавилон к Навуходоносору, царю вавилонскому. В нем было написано:

4 «Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Всем изгнанникам, которых увел Я в плен из Иерусалима в Вавилон.

5 Стройте дома и живите в них, разбивайте сады и вкушайте плоды их.

6 Женитесь — и пусть родятся у вас сыновья и дочери, жените сыновей своих и выдавайте замуж дочерей — пусть и у них родятся дети. Плодовитыми будьте, чтобы не уменьшался народ!

7 Заботьтесь о благоденствии города, в который Я изгнал вас, и молитесь о нем ГОСПОДУ, ибо его благоденствие принесет благоденствие и вам“.

8 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Пусть не обольщают вас пророки и гадатели, живущие среди вас. Не доверяйте снам, которые им снятся.

9 Ибо от Моего имени пророчествуют они ложь; не посылал Я их“, — это слово ГОСПОДНЕ.

10 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: „Как только минуют семьдесят лет, отведенные Вавилону, Я вступлюсь за вас, исполню то доброе, что обещал, и верну вас в родные места.

11 Потому что Я знаю, Мне одному известен замысел Мой о вас, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ. — Благоденствие определил Я для вас, а не беду, чтобы были у вас будущее и надежда.

12 Когда вы обратитесь ко Мне, придете и будете Мне молиться, Я вас услышу.

13 Когда вы станете искать Меня, то найдете, если пожелаете того всем своим сердцем.

14 Буду Я рядом с вами, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — верну вас из плена, соберу вас, рассеянных среди народов, отовсюду, куда Я изгнал вас прежде, — таково слово ГОСПОДА, — и верну Я вас в те места, откуда изгнал вас“.

15 Вы говорите: „ГОСПОДЬ послал нам пророков в Вавилон!“

16 Но вот что говорит ГОСПОДЬ о царе, сидящем на престоле Давида, и обо всем народе, живущем в этом городе, о братьях ваших, которые не были угнаны в плен вместе с вами.

17 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств: „Пошлю Я на них меч, голод и моровое поветрие и уподоблю их гнилым смоквам, которые так плохи, что есть их нельзя.

18 Буду Я их преследовать мечом, голодом и моровым поветрием, участью, им уготованной, Я устрашу все царства земные, чтобы стали они проклятьем у всех на устах и ужас внушали. Предам Я их осмеянию и поруганию среди тех народов, куда Я изгнал их,

19 потому что они не внимали увещеваниям Моим, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — с которыми настойчиво обращался к ним, посылая слуг Моих, пророков, но они не слушались, — таково слово ГОСПОДНЕ. —

20 Вы же, изгнанники, которых Я сослал из Иерусалима в Вавилон, слушайте слово ГОСПОДНЕ“.

21 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля, об Ахаве, сыне Колайи, и о Седекии, сыне Маасейи, которые пророчествуют вам ложь от Моего имени: „Предам Я их в руки Навуходоносора, царя вавилонского, и у вас на глазах он убьет их“.

22 И станут они проклятьем на устах у всех изгнанников иудейских в Вавилоне, которые будут говорить так: „Пусть сделает с тобой ГОСПОДЬ то же, что сделал с Седекией и с Ахавом“, которых царь вавилонский заживо сжег в огне.

23 Потому что они совершали безумства в Иерусалиме, и прелюбодействовали с женами ближних своих, и изрекали ложь от имени Моего, говоря то, что Я не повелевал им. Мне известно всё это, и Я свидетель тому“, — таково слово ГОСПОДА».

24 А Шемайе из Нехелама скажи следующее:

25 «Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Посылал ты от своего имени письма ко всему народу, что остался в Иерусалиме, и к Софонии, сыну Маасейи, священнику, и ко всем прочим священникам и писал в них,

26 что Сам ГОСПОДЬ поставил тебя священником вместо Ехояды, священника, чтобы ты присматривал за Храмом ГОСПОДНИМ и усмирял всяких беснующихся, выдающих себя за пророков, чтобы ты надевал на них оковы и колодки.

27 Так почему же не порицал ты Иеремию из Анатота, который пророчествует вам?

28 Он и к нам в Вавилон послал письмо со словами: „Не скоро закончится время изгнания вашего, стройте дома и живите в них, разбивайте сады и вкушайте плоды их…“».

29 Священник же Софония прочел это письмо самому пророку Иеремии.

30 Некоторое время спустя снова было Иеремии слово ГОСПОДНЕ:

31 «Всем находящимся в изгнании напиши: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ о Шемайе из Нехелама: „За то, что Шемайя пророчествал вам, когда Я не посылал его, и заставлял вас поверить его обману,

32 ГОСПОДЬ провозглашает: „Взыщу Я с Шемайи из Нехелама и с потомства его. Никто из его рода не останется в живых, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — и не будет жить с этим народом, не увидит он того блага, которое Я совершу для народа Моего, потому что его лживая весть вела к противлению ГОСПОДУ“».

1 Now these428 are the words1697 of the letter5612 that Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 sent7971 from Jerusalem3389 to the residue3499 of the elders2205 which were carried1473 away captives,1473 and to the priests,3548 and to the prophets,5030 and to all3605 the people5971 whom834 Nebuchadnezzar5019 had carried1540 away captive1473 from Jerusalem3389 to Babylon;894

2 (After310 that Jeconiah3204 the king,4428 and the queen,1377 and the eunuchs,5631 the princes8269 of Judah3063 and Jerusalem,3389 and the carpenters,2796 and the smiths,4525 were departed3318 from Jerusalem;3389)

3 By the hand3027 of Elasah501 the son1121 of Shaphan,8227 and Gemariah1587 the son1121 of Hilkiah,2518 (whom834 Zedekiah6667 king4428 of Judah3063 sent7971 to Babylon894 to Nebuchadnezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon)894 saying,559

4 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 to all3605 that are carried1473 away captives,1473 whom834 I have caused to be carried1540 away from Jerusalem3389 to Babylon;894

5 Build1129 you houses,1004 and dwell3427 in them; and plant5193 gardens,1593 and eat398 the fruit6529 of them;

6 Take3947 you wives,802 and beget3205 sons1121 and daughters;1323 and take3947 wives802 for your sons,1121 and give5414 your daughters1323 to husbands,582 that they may bear3205 sons1121 and daughters;1323 that you may be increased7235 there,8033 and not diminished.4591

7 And seek1875 the peace7965 of the city5892 where834 8033 I have caused you to be carried1540 away captives,1540 and pray6419 to the LORD3068 for it: for in the peace7965 thereof shall you have1961 peace.7965

8 For thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 Let not your prophets5030 and your diviners,7080 that be in the middle7130 of you, deceive5377 you, neither408 listen8085 to your dreams2472 which834 you cause to be dreamed.2492

9 For they prophesy5012 falsely8267 to you in my name:8034 I have not sent7971 them, said5002 the LORD.3068

10 For thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 That after6310 seventy7657 years8141 be accomplished4390 at Babylon894 I will visit6485 you, and perform6965 my good2896 word1697 toward5921 you, in causing you to return7725 to this2088 place.4725

11 For I know3045 the thoughts4284 that I think2803 toward5921 you, said5002 the LORD,3068 thoughts4284 of peace,7965 and not of evil,7451 to give5414 you an expected8615 end.319

12 Then shall you call7121 on me, and you shall go1980 and pray6419 to me, and I will listen8085 to you.

13 And you shall seek1245 me, and find4672 me, when3588 you shall search1875 for me with all3605 your heart.3824

14 And I will be found4672 of you, said5002 the LORD:3068 and I will turn7725 away your captivity,7622 and I will gather6908 you from all3605 the nations,1471 and from all3605 the places4725 where834 8033 I have driven5080 you, said5002 the LORD;3068 and I will bring7725 you again7725 into413 the place4725 from where834 8033 I caused you to be carried1540 away captive.1540

15 Because3588 you have said,559 The LORD3068 has raised6965 us up prophets5030 in Babylon;894

16 Know that thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of the king4428 that sits3427 on the throne3678 of David,1732 and of all3605 the people5971 that dwells3427 in this2063 city,5892 and of your brothers251 that are not gone3318 forth3318 with you into captivity;1473

17 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 Behold,2005 I will send7971 on them the sword,2719 the famine,7458 and the pestilence,1698 and will make5414 them like vile8182 figs,8384 that cannot3808 be eaten,398 they are so evil.7455

18 And I will persecute7291 310 them with the sword,2719 with the famine,7458 and with the pestilence,1698 and will deliver5414 them to be removed2189 to all3605 the kingdoms4467 of the earth,776 to be a curse,423 and an astonishment,8047 and an hissing,8322 and a reproach,2781 among all3605 the nations1471 where834 8033 I have driven5080 them:

19 Because8478 834 they have not listened8085 to my words,1697 said5002 the LORD,3068 which834 I sent7971 to them by my servants5650 the prophets,5030 rising7925 up early7925 and sending7971 them; but you would not hear,8085 said5002 the LORD.3068

20 Hear8085 you therefore the word1697 of the LORD,3068 all3605 you of the captivity,1473 whom834 I have sent7971 from Jerusalem3389 to Babylon:894

21 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 of Ahab256 the son1121 of Kolaiah,6964 and of Zedekiah6667 the son1121 of Maaseiah,4641 which prophesy5012 a lie8267 to you in my name;8034 Behold,2009 I will deliver5414 them into the hand3027 of Nebuchadrezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon;894 and he shall slay5221 them before your eyes;5869

22 And of them shall be taken3947 up a curse7045 by all3605 the captivity1546 of Judah3063 which834 are in Babylon,894 saying,559 The LORD3068 make7760 you like Zedekiah6667 and like Ahab,256 whom834 the king4428 of Babylon894 roasted7033 in the fire;784

23 Because3282 834 they have committed6213 villainy5039 in Israel,3478 and have committed6213 adultery5003 with their neighbors'7453 wives,802 and have spoken1696 lying8267 words1697 in my name,8034 which834 I have not commanded6680 them; even I know,3045 and am a witness,5707 said5002 the LORD.3068

24 Thus shall you also speak559 to Shemaiah8098 the Nehelamite,5161 saying,559

25 Thus3541 speaks559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 saying,559 Because3282 834 you have sent7971 letters5612 in your name8034 to all3605 the people5971 that are at Jerusalem,3389 and to Zephaniah6846 the son1121 of Maaseiah4641 the priest,3548 and to all3605 the priests,3548 saying,559

26 The LORD3068 has made5414 you priest3548 in the stead8478 of Jehoiada3111 the priest,3548 that you should be officers6496 in the house1004 of the LORD,3068 for every man376 that is mad,7696 and makes himself a prophet,5012 that you should put5414 him in prison,4115 and in the stocks.6729

27 Now6258 therefore why4100 have you not reproved1605 Jeremiah3414 of Anathoth,6068 which makes himself a prophet5012 to you?

28 For therefore5921 3651 he sent7971 to us in Babylon,894 saying,559 This1931 captivity is long:752 build1129 you houses,1004 and dwell3427 in them; and plant5193 gardens,1593 and eat398 the fruit6529 of them.

29 And Zephaniah6846 the priest3548 read7121 this letter5612 in the ears241 of Jeremiah3414 the prophet.5030

30 Then came1961 the word1697 of the LORD3068 to Jeremiah,3414 saying,559

31 Send7971 to all3605 them of the captivity,1473 saying,559 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 concerning413 Shemaiah8098 the Nehelamite;5161 Because3282 834 that Shemaiah8098 has prophesied5012 to you, and I sent7971 him not, and he caused you to trust982 in a lie:8267

32 Therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the LORD;3068 Behold,2005 I will punish6485 Shemaiah8098 the Nehelamite,5161 and his seed:2233 he shall not have1961 a man376 to dwell3427 among8432 this2088 people;5971 neither3808 shall he behold7200 the good2896 that I will do6213 for my people,5971 said5002 the LORD;3068 because3588 he has taught1696 rebellion5627 against5921 the LORD.3068

8 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Пусть не обольщают вас пророки и гадатели, живущие среди вас. Не доверяйте снам, которые им снятся.

11 Потому что Я знаю, Мне одному известен замысел Мой о вас, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ. — Благоденствие определил Я для вас, а не беду, чтобы были у вас будущее и надежда.

11 For I know3045 the thoughts4284 that I think2803 toward5921 you, said5002 the LORD,3068 thoughts4284 of peace,7965 and not of evil,7451 to give5414 you an expected8615 end.319

12 Когда вы обратитесь ко Мне, придете и будете Мне молиться, Я вас услышу.

12 Then shall you call7121 on me, and you shall go1980 and pray6419 to me, and I will listen8085 to you.

13 Когда вы станете искать Меня, то найдете, если пожелаете того всем своим сердцем.

13 And you shall seek1245 me, and find4672 me, when3588 you shall search1875 for me with all3605 your heart.3824

14 Буду Я рядом с вами, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — верну вас из плена, соберу вас, рассеянных среди народов, отовсюду, куда Я изгнал вас прежде, — таково слово ГОСПОДА, — и верну Я вас в те места, откуда изгнал вас“.

14 And I will be found4672 of you, said5002 the LORD:3068 and I will turn7725 away your captivity,7622 and I will gather6908 you from all3605 the nations,1471 and from all3605 the places4725 where834 8033 I have driven5080 you, said5002 the LORD;3068 and I will bring7725 you again7725 into413 the place4725 from where834 8033 I caused you to be carried1540 away captive.1540

15 Вы говорите: „ГОСПОДЬ послал нам пророков в Вавилон!“

15 Because3588 you have said,559 The LORD3068 has raised6965 us up prophets5030 in Babylon;894

19 потому что они не внимали увещеваниям Моим, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — с которыми настойчиво обращался к ним, посылая слуг Моих, пророков, но они не слушались, — таково слово ГОСПОДНЕ. —

19 Because8478 834 they have not listened8085 to my words,1697 said5002 the LORD,3068 which834 I sent7971 to them by my servants5650 the prophets,5030 rising7925 up early7925 and sending7971 them; but you would not hear,8085 said5002 the LORD.3068

20 Вы же, изгнанники, которых Я сослал из Иерусалима в Вавилон, слушайте слово ГОСПОДНЕ“.

23 Because3282 834 they have committed6213 villainy5039 in Israel,3478 and have committed6213 adultery5003 with their neighbors'7453 wives,802 and have spoken1696 lying8267 words1697 in my name,8034 which834 I have not commanded6680 them; even I know,3045 and am a witness,5707 said5002 the LORD.3068

24 А Шемайе из Нехелама скажи следующее:

24 Thus shall you also speak559 to Shemaiah8098 the Nehelamite,5161 saying,559

25 «Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Бог Израиля: „Посылал ты от своего имени письма ко всему народу, что остался в Иерусалиме, и к Софонии, сыну Маасейи, священнику, и ко всем прочим священникам и писал в них,

26 The LORD3068 has made5414 you priest3548 in the stead8478 of Jehoiada3111 the priest,3548 that you should be officers6496 in the house1004 of the LORD,3068 for every man376 that is mad,7696 and makes himself a prophet,5012 that you should put5414 him in prison,4115 and in the stocks.6729

27 Так почему же не порицал ты Иеремию из Анатота, который пророчествует вам?

27 Now6258 therefore why4100 have you not reproved1605 Jeremiah3414 of Anathoth,6068 which makes himself a prophet5012 to you?

28 Он и к нам в Вавилон послал письмо со словами: „Не скоро закончится время изгнания вашего, стройте дома и живите в них, разбивайте сады и вкушайте плоды их…“».

28 For therefore5921 3651 he sent7971 to us in Babylon,894 saying,559 This1931 captivity is long:752 build1129 you houses,1004 and dwell3427 in them; and plant5193 gardens,1593 and eat398 the fruit6529 of them.

32 ГОСПОДЬ провозглашает: „Взыщу Я с Шемайи из Нехелама и с потомства его. Никто из его рода не останется в живых, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — и не будет жить с этим народом, не увидит он того блага, которое Я совершу для народа Моего, потому что его лживая весть вела к противлению ГОСПОДУ“».
