Ephesians

Chapter 6

1 CHILDREN, obey your parents in our LORD, for this is right.

2 This is the first commandment with promise: Honour thy father and mother;

3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

4 And parents, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and teaching of our LORD.

5 Servants, be obedient to your masters according to the flesh, with reverence and trembling, and with a sincere heart, as to Christ;

6 Not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart.

7 And serve well with your whole soul, with love, as to our LORD, and not to men:

8 Knowing that whatever good thing any man does, the same shall he receive from our LORD, whether he be a slave or a freeman.

9 Also, masters, do the same things for your servants, forgiving their faults, because you also have your own Master in heaven; and there is no respect of persons with him.

10 From henceforth, my brethren, be strong in our LORD, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For your conflict is not only with flesh and blood, but also with the angels, and with powers, with the rulers of this world of darkness, and with the evil spirits under the heavens.

13 Wherefore put you on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to meet the evil one, and being prepared you shall prevail.

14 Arise, therefore, gird your loins with truth, and put on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And have your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Together with these, take for yourselves the shield of faith, for with it you shall be able to quench all the flaming darts of the wicked.

17 And put on the helmet of salvation, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 And pray always, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and in that prayer be watchful at all times, praying constantly and supplicating for all the saints,

19 And for me also, that words may be given to me as soon as I open my mouth, so that I may boldly preach the mystery of the gospel,

20 For which I am a messenger in chains: that I may speak openly about it, as I ought to speak.

21 In order that you also may know my affairs, and what I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and a faithful minister in our LORD, shall make known to you all things;

22 Him I have sent to you for the same purpose, that you may know how I am, and that he may comfort your hearts.

23 Peace be to our brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father, and from our LORD Jesus Christ.

24 Grace be with all them that love our LORD Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

Глава 6

1 Дети, повинуйтесь в Господе родителям вашим, ибо это справедливо.

2 Почитай отца и мать — это есть первая заповедь с обещанием, —

3 чтобы тебе было хорошо и был ты долголетен на земле.

4 И вы, отцы, не раздражайте детей ваших, но воспитывайте их в учении и наставлении Господнем.

5 Рабы, повинуйтесь господам своим по плоти со страхом и трепетом в простоте сердца вашего, как Христу,

6 не с показной услужливостью, как человекоугодники, но как рабы Христовы, исполняя волю Божию от души,

7 служа с усердием, как Господу, а не как людям,

8 зная, что каждый, если что сотворит доброе, то и получит обратно от Господа, будь то раб, будь то свободный.

9 И вы, господа, поступайте с ними так же, отложив угрозы, зная, что и у вас есть Господин на небесах и нет у Него лицеприятия.

10 Наконец, укрепляйтесь в Господе и в могуществе силы Его;

11 облекитесь во всеоружие Божие, чтобы могли вы противостать козням диавола,

12 потому что борьба у нас не против крови и плоти, но против начал, против властей, против повелителей этого мира тьмы, против злых духов на небесах.

13 Поэтому возьмите всеоружие Божие, чтобы могли вы оказать сопротивление в день злой и, всё преодолев, устоять.

14 Итак стойте, опоясав чресла ваши истиной, и облекшись в броню праведности,

15 и обув ноги в готовность благовествовать мир;

16 при всём том взяв щит веры, которым вы сможете угасить все раскаленные стрелы лукавого;

17 и шлем спасения возьмите, и меч Духа, что есть слово Божие.

18 Всякой молитвой и прошением молитесь во всякое время в Духе, и для этого бодрствуйте со всяким постоянством и молением о всех святых

19 и о мне, чтобы дано мне было слово, открытыми устами дерзновенно поведать тайну Евангелия,

20 ради которой я несу посольство в узах, чтобы я возвестил её с дерзновением, как должно мне возвестить.

21 А чтобы и вы знали о том, что касается меня, как мои дела, — всё расскажет вам Тихик, возлюбленный брат и верный служитель в Господе,

22 которого я для того именно посылаю к вам, чтобы вы узнали о наших обстоятельствах, и чтобы он утешил сердца ваши.

23 Мир братьям и любовь с верою от Бога Отца и Господа Иисуса Христа.

24 Благодать со всеми любящими Господа нашего Иисуса Христа нерушимо.

13 Поэтому возьмите всеоружие Божие, чтобы могли вы оказать сопротивление в день злой и, всё преодолев, устоять.

14 Итак стойте, опоясав чресла ваши истиной, и облекшись в броню праведности,

15 и обув ноги в готовность благовествовать мир;

16 при всём том взяв щит веры, которым вы сможете угасить все раскаленные стрелы лукавого;

17 And put on the helmet of salvation, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

17 и шлем спасения возьмите, и меч Духа, что есть слово Божие.

18 And pray always, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and in that prayer be watchful at all times, praying constantly and supplicating for all the saints,

18 Всякой молитвой и прошением молитесь во всякое время в Духе, и для этого бодрствуйте со всяким постоянством и молением о всех святых

19 And for me also, that words may be given to me as soon as I open my mouth, so that I may boldly preach the mystery of the gospel,

19 и о мне, чтобы дано мне было слово, открытыми устами дерзновенно поведать тайну Евангелия,

20 For which I am a messenger in chains: that I may speak openly about it, as I ought to speak.

20 ради которой я несу посольство в узах, чтобы я возвестил её с дерзновением, как должно мне возвестить.

21 In order that you also may know my affairs, and what I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and a faithful minister in our LORD, shall make known to you all things;

21 А чтобы и вы знали о том, что касается меня, как мои дела, — всё расскажет вам Тихик, возлюбленный брат и верный служитель в Господе,

22 Him I have sent to you for the same purpose, that you may know how I am, and that he may comfort your hearts.

22 которого я для того именно посылаю к вам, чтобы вы узнали о наших обстоятельствах, и чтобы он утешил сердца ваши.

23 Peace be to our brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father, and from our LORD Jesus Christ.

23 Мир братьям и любовь с верою от Бога Отца и Господа Иисуса Христа.

24 Grace be with all them that love our LORD Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
