Chapter 10

1 THE LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Make two trumpets of silver; of casting work shall you make them, that you may use them for the calling of the assembly and for the journeying of the camps.

3 And when they shall blow with them, all the people shall assemble themselves to you at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

4 And if they blow but with one trumpet, the princes and the heads of the thousands of Israel shall gather themselves to you.

5 When they blow the trumpet, the camps that lie on the east side shall take their journey.

6 And when they blow with the second trumpet, the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey; they shall blow a trumpet for their journeys.

7 But when the congregation is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not make a joyful noise.

8 And the sons of Aaron the priest shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.

9 And if you go to war in your land against the enemies that oppress you, you shall blow with the trumpets; and you shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and you shall be delivered from your enemies.

10 Also in the day of your gladness and in your solemn days and in the beginning of your months you shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings, that they may be to you for a memorial before your God; I am the LORD your God.

11 And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony.

12 And the children of Israel took their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.

13 And they took their journey for the first time according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

14 In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies; and over their host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

15 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanael the son of Zuar.

16 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.

17 And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, carrying the tabernacle.

18 And then the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies; and over their host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.

19 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelmuiel the son of Zurishaddai.

20 And over the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Reuel.

21 Then the Kohathites set forward, carrying the sanctuary; and they set up the tabernacle before the people came.

22 And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies; and over their host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.

23 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Perzur.

24 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.

25 And the standard of the children of Dan set forward, which was at the end of all the camps throughout their hosts; and over the host of the tribe of the children of Dan was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

26 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran.

27 And over the host of the tribe of Naphtali was Ahida the son of Enan.

28 Thus was the order of the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their hosts.

29 And Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, We are journeying to the place of which the LORD said, I will give it to you. Come with us, and we will do you good; for the LORD has spoken good concerning Israel.

30 But he said to him, I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, where I was born.

31 And Moses said to him, Do not leave us, for you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you will serve as a guide for us.

32 And if you shall go with us, it shall be that whatever goodness the LORD shall do to us, the same will we do to you.

33 And they departed from the mount of God three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them a day's journey to prepare a resting place for them.

34 And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.

35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, Moses said, Arise, O LORD, and let them that hate thee be scattered; and let thy enemies flee before thee.

36 And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, to the many thousands of Israel.

4 Wenn man nur mit einer259 schlecht bläset, so sollen sich zu dir versammeln3259 die Fürsten5387 und die Obersten7218 über die Tausende505 in Israel3478.

5 Wenn ihr aber trommetet, so sollen die Lager4264 aufbrechen5265, die gegen Morgen6924 liegen2583.

6 Und wenn ihr zum andernmal8145 trommetet, so sollen4550 die Lager4264 aufbrechen, die gegen Mittag8486 liegen2583. Denn wenn sie8628 reisen5265 sollen, so sollt ihr trommeten.

7 Wenn aber die Gemeine zu versammeln6950 ist, sollt ihr schlecht blasen8628 und nicht trommeten.

8 Es sollen aber solch Blasen8628 mit den Trommeten die Söhne1121 Aarons175, die Priester, tun; und3548 soll euer Recht2708 sein ewiglich5769 bei euren Nachkommen1755.

9 Wenn ihr in einen Streit4421 ziehet935 in eurem Lande776 wider eure Feinde6862, die euch beleidigen, so sollt ihr trommeten mit den Trommeten, daß euer gedacht2142 werde vor6440 dem HErrn3068, eurem GOtt430, und erlöset werdet3467 von euren Feinden6887.

10 Desselbigengleichen, wenn3117 ihr fröhlich seid8057 an euren Festen4150 und in euren Neumonden7218, sollt ihr mit den Trommeten blasen8628 über eure Brandopfer und Dankopfer2077, daß es5930 sei euch zum Gedächtnis2146 vor6440 eurem GOtt430. Ich bin der HErr3068, euer GOtt430.

11 Am zwanzigsten6242 Tage im andern8145 Monden2320 des andern8145 Jahres8141 erhub sich5927 die Wolke6051 von der Wohnung4908 des Zeugnisses5715.

12 Und die Kinder1121 Israel3478 brachen auf und zogen5265 aus der Wüste4057 Sinai5514, und die Wolke6051 blieb7931 in der Wüste4057 Paran.

13 Es brachen5265 aber auf die ersten7223 nach dem Wort6310 des HErrn3068 durch3027 Mose4872.

14 Nämlich das Panier1714 des Lagers der Kinder1121 Juda3063 zog5265 am ersten7223 mit ihrem Heer4264; und über ihr Heer6635 war Nahesson5177, der Sohn1121 Amminadabs5992.

15 Und über das Heer6635 des Stamms der Kinder1121 Isaschar3485 war Nethaneel, der Sohn1121 Zuars6686.

16 Und über das Heer6635 des Stamms der Kinder1121 Sebulon2074 war Eliab446, der Sohn1121 Helons2497.

17 Da zerlegte man die Wohnung4908, und1121 zogen3381 die Kinder1121 Gerson1648 und4847 Meran und trugen5375 die Wohnung4908.

19 Und über das Heer6635 des Stamms der Kinder1121 Simeon8095 war Selumiel8017, der Sohn1121 Zuri-Saddais6701.

20 Und Eliasaph, der Sohn1121 Deguels1845, über das Heer6635 des Stamms der Kinder1121 Gad1410.

21 Da zogen5265 auch die Kahathiten6956 und trugen das Heiligtum4720; und jene richteten6965 die Wohnung4908 auf5375, bis diese hernach kamen935.

22 Danach zog5265 das Panier1714 des Lagers der Kinder1121 Ephraim669 mit ihrem Heer4264; und über ihr Heer6635 war Elisama476 der Sohn1121 Ammihuds5989.

23 Und Gamliel1583, der Sohn1121 Pedazurs6301, über das Heer6635 des Stamms der Kinder1121 Manasse4519.

24 Und Abidan27, der Sohn1121 Gideonis1441, über das Heer6635 des Stamms der Kinder1121 Benjamin1144.

27 Und Ahjra, der Sohn1121 Enans5881, über das Heer6635 des Stamms der Kinder1121 Naphthali5321.

29 Und4872 Mose4872 sprach559 zu seinem Schwager Hobab2246, dem Sohn1121 Reguels7467, aus Midian4084: Wir ziehen5265 dahin an die Stätte4725, davon3212 der HErr3068 gesagt559 hat1696: Ich will sie euch2859 geben5414; so komm nun mit uns, wollen wir das Beste2896 bei dir tun2895 denn der HErr3068 hat Israel3478 Gutes zugesagt.
