1 Moreover the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 unto413 me, saying,559

2 Son1121 of man,120 set7760 thy face6440 against5921 mount2022 Seir,8165 and prophesy5012 against5921 it,

3 And say559 unto it, Thus3541 saith559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 Behold,2009 O mount2022 Seir,8165 I am against413 thee, and I will stretch out5186 mine hand3027 against5921 thee, and I will make5414 thee most desolate.8077 4923

4 I will lay7760 thy cities5892 waste,2723 and thou859 shalt be1961 desolate,8077 and thou shalt know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

5 Because3282 thou hast had1961 a perpetual5769 hatred,342 and hast shed5064 the blood of853 the children1121 of Israel3478 by5921 the force3027 of the sword2719 in the time6256 of their calamity,343 in the time6256 that their iniquity5771 had an end: 7093

6 Therefore,3651 as I589 live,2416 saith5002 the Lord136 GOD,3069 I will prepare6213 thee unto blood,1818 and blood1818 shall pursue7291 thee: sith518 thou hast not3808 hated8130 blood,1818 even blood1818 shall pursue7291 thee.

7 Thus will I make5414 853 mount2022 Seir8165 most desolate,8077 8077 and cut off3772 from4480 it him that passeth out5674 and him that returneth.7725

8 And I will fill4390 853 his mountains2022 with his slain2491 men: in thy hills,1389 and in thy valleys,1516 and in all3605 thy rivers,650 shall they fall5307 that are slain2491 with the sword.2719

9 I will make5414 thee perpetual5769 desolations,8077 and thy cities5892 shall not3808 return:3427 and ye shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

10 Because3282 thou hast said,559 853 These two8147 nations1471 and these two8147 countries776 shall be1961 mine, and we will possess3423 it; whereas the LORD3068 was1961 there: 8033

11 Therefore,3651 as I589 live,2416 saith5002 the Lord136 GOD,3069 I will even do6213 according to thine anger,639 and according to thine envy7068 which834 thou hast used6213 out of thy hatred4480 8135 against them; and I will make myself known3045 among them, when834 I have judged8199 thee.

12 And thou shalt know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD,3068 and that I have heard8085 853 all3605 thy blasphemies5007 which834 thou hast spoken559 against5921 the mountains2022 of Israel,3478 saying,559 They are laid desolate,8074 they are given5414 us to consume.402

13 Thus with your mouth6310 ye have boasted1431 against5921 me, and have multiplied6280 your words1697 against5921 me: I589 have heard8085 them.

14 Thus3541 saith559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 When the whole3605 earth776 rejoiceth,8055 I will make6213 thee desolate.8077

15 As thou didst rejoice8057 at the inheritance5159 of the house1004 of Israel,3478 because5921 834 it was desolate,8074 so3651 will I do6213 unto thee: thou shalt be1961 desolate,8077 O mount2022 Seir,8165 and all3605 Idumea,123 even all3605 of it: and they shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

1 І було мені слово Господнє таке:

2 „Сину лю́дський, зверни своє обличчя до гори Сеї́р, і пророкуй на неї

3 та й скажеш їй: Так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я на тебе, го́ро Сеїре, і ви́тягну руку Свою на тебе, й оберну́ тебе на спусто́шення та на сплюндрува́ння.

4 Міста твої оберну́ на руїну, а ти будеш спусто́шенням, і пізнаєте ви, що Я — Госпо́дь!

5 За те, що ти маєш вічну ворожне́чу, і валила Ізраїлевих синів через меча в часі їхнього нещастя, в часі загибелі кінце́вої,

6 тому́ — як живий Я, — говорить Господь Бог, — на кров оберну́ тебе, і кров буде гнати тебе. Отож кров ти знена́виділа, то кров буде гнати тебе!

7 Оберну́ Я го́ру Сеїр на спусто́шення та на сплюндрува́ння, і ви́тну з неї того́, хто йде та верта́ється.

8 І напо́вню його го́ри тру́пами його́! Згір'я твої й долини твої та всі твої рі́чища, — побиті мечем попа́дають у них!

9 На вічні руїни оберну́ Я тебе́, а міста́ твої не засе́ляться, і пізнаєте ви, що Я — Госпо́дь!

10 За те, що ти кажеш: „Два ці наро́ди, і два ці кра́ї будуть мої, і ми пося́демо те, де Господь був“,

11 тому́, — як живий Я, — говорить Господь Бог, — зроблю́ Я за гнівом твоїм та за за́здрістю твоєю, які ти робив із своєї нена́висти до них, і вони пізна́ють Мене, коли буду судити тебе.

12 І пізнаєш ти, що Я — Господь, чув усі обра́зи твої, які ти казав на Ізраїлеві го́ри, говорячи: „Вони опустоші́лі, да́ні нам на ї́жу!“

13 І ви велича́лися проти Мене своїми устами, і збі́льшували проти Мене слова́ свої, — Я це чув!

14 Так говорить Господь Бог: Коли буде радіти вся земля, тоді вчиню́ її тобі спусто́шенням!

15 Як радієш ти зо спа́дку Ізраїлевого дому через те, що опустоші́ло воно, так зроблю́ Я й тобі. Спусто́шенням станеш, го́ро Сеїре, та ввесь Едо́м, увесь він, і пізнають вони, що Я — Госпо́дь!“

3 та й скажеш їй: Так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я на тебе, го́ро Сеїре, і ви́тягну руку Свою на тебе, й оберну́ тебе на спусто́шення та на сплюндрува́ння.

4 Міста твої оберну́ на руїну, а ти будеш спусто́шенням, і пізнаєте ви, що Я — Госпо́дь!

5 За те, що ти маєш вічну ворожне́чу, і валила Ізраїлевих синів через меча в часі їхнього нещастя, в часі загибелі кінце́вої,

6 тому́ — як живий Я, — говорить Господь Бог, — на кров оберну́ тебе, і кров буде гнати тебе. Отож кров ти знена́виділа, то кров буде гнати тебе!

7 Thus will I make5414 853 mount2022 Seir8165 most desolate,8077 8077 and cut off3772 from4480 it him that passeth out5674 and him that returneth.7725

7 Оберну́ Я го́ру Сеїр на спусто́шення та на сплюндрува́ння, і ви́тну з неї того́, хто йде та верта́ється.

8 And I will fill4390 853 his mountains2022 with his slain2491 men: in thy hills,1389 and in thy valleys,1516 and in all3605 thy rivers,650 shall they fall5307 that are slain2491 with the sword.2719

8 І напо́вню його го́ри тру́пами його́! Згір'я твої й долини твої та всі твої рі́чища, — побиті мечем попа́дають у них!

10 За те, що ти кажеш: „Два ці наро́ди, і два ці кра́ї будуть мої, і ми пося́демо те, де Господь був“,

12 І пізнаєш ти, що Я — Господь, чув усі обра́зи твої, які ти казав на Ізраїлеві го́ри, говорячи: „Вони опустоші́лі, да́ні нам на ї́жу!“

15 Як радієш ти зо спа́дку Ізраїлевого дому через те, що опустоші́ло воно, так зроблю́ Я й тобі. Спусто́шенням станеш, го́ро Сеїре, та ввесь Едо́м, увесь він, і пізнають вони, що Я — Госпо́дь!“
