2 Son1121 of man,120 What4100 is1961 the vine1612 tree6086 more than any4480 3605 tree,6086 or than a branch2156 which834 is1961 among the trees6086 of the forest?3293

3 Shall wood6086 be taken3947 thereof4480 to do6213 any work?4399 or518 will men take3947 a pin3489 of4480 it to hang8518 any3605 vessel3627 thereon?5921

4 Behold,2009 it is cast5414 into the fire784 for fuel;402 the fire784 devoureth398 853 both8147 the ends7098 of it, and the midst8432 of it is burned.2787 Is it meet6743 for any work?4399

5 Behold,2009 when it was1961 whole,8549 it was meet6213 for no3808 work:4399 how much less637 shall it be meet6213 yet5750 for any work,4399 when3588 the fire784 hath devoured398 it, and it is burned?2787

6 Therefore3651 thus3541 saith559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 As834 the vine1612 tree6086 among the trees6086 of the forest,3293 which834 I have given5414 to the fire784 for fuel,402 so3651 will I give5414 853 the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem.3389

7 And I will set5414 853 my face6440 against them; they shall go out3318 from one fire,784 and another fire784 shall devour398 them; and ye shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD,3068 when I set7760 853 my face6440 against them.

8 And I will make5414 853 the land776 desolate,8077 because3282 they have committed4603 a trespass,4604 saith5002 the Lord136 GOD.3069

2 Son of man, What shall happen to the wood of the vine more than to any wood, or to any branch of the trees which are among the trees of the forest?

3 Shall wood be taken from the vine to make anything from it? Or do men take a peg from it to hang vessels on it?

4 Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; and when the fire has consumed both ends of it and the middle of it is burned, is it good for any work?

5 Behold, when it was whole, it was not useful for implements; how much less shall it be useful when the fire has devoured it and it is destroyed?

6 Therefore thus says the LORD God: As I have given the wood of the vine among all the trees of the forest to the fire for fuel, so I have given the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

7 And I will pour out my anger against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall consume them; and you shall know that I am the LORD, when I pour out my anger against them.

8 And I will make the land desolate and a horror because they have committed iniquity, says the LORD God.
