2 That they feared3372 greatly,3966 because3588 Gibeon1391 was a great1419 city,5892 as one259 of the royal4467 cities,5892 and because3588 it was greater1419 than4480 Ai,5857 and all3605 the men582 thereof were mighty.1368

3 Why Adonizedec139 king4428 of Jerusalem,3389 sent7971 to Hoham1944 king4428 of Hebron,2275 and to Piram6502 king4428 of Jarmuth,3412 and to Japhia3309 king4428 of Lachish,3923 and to Debir1688 king4428 of Eglon,5700 saying,559

4 Come5927 up to me, and help5826 me, that we may smite5217 Gibeon:1391 for it has made peace7999 with Joshua3091 and with the children1121 of Israel.3478

5 Therefore the five2568 kings4428 of the Amorites,567 the king4428 of Jerusalem,3389 the king4428 of Hebron,2275 the king4428 of Jarmuth,3412 the king4428 of Lachish,3923 the king4428 of Eglon,5700 gathered622 themselves together, and went5927 up, they and all3605 their hosts,4264 and encamped2583 before5921 Gibeon,1391 and made war3898 against5921 it.

6 And the men582 of Gibeon1391 sent7971 to Joshua3091 to the camp4264 to Gilgal,1537 saying,559 Slack7503 not your hand3027 from your servants;5650 come5927 up to us quickly,4120 and save3467 us, and help5826 us: for all the kings4428 of the Amorites567 that dwell3427 in the mountains2022 are gathered6908 together against413 us.

7 So Joshua3091 ascended5927 from Gilgal,1537 he, and all3605 the people5971 of war4421 with him, and all3605 the mighty1368 men of valor.2428

8 And the LORD3068 said559 to Joshua,3091 Fear3372 them not: for I have delivered5414 them into your hand;3027 there shall not a man376 of them stand5975 before6440 you.

9 Joshua3091 therefore came935 to them suddenly,6597 and went5927 up from Gilgal1537 all3605 night.3915

10 And the LORD3068 discomfited1949 them before6440 Israel,3478 and slew5221 them with a great1419 slaughter4347 at Gibeon,1391 and chased7291 them along the way1870 that goes4609 up to Bethhoron,1032 and smote5221 them to Azekah,5825 and to Makkedah.4719

11 And it came1961 to pass, as they fled5127 from before6440 Israel,3478 and were in the going4174 down4174 to Bethhoron,1032 that the LORD3068 cast7993 down great1419 stones68 from heaven8064 on them to Azekah,5825 and they died:4191 they were more7227 which834 died4191 with hailstones68 1259 than they whom834 the children1121 of Israel3478 slew2026 with the sword.2719

12 Then227 spoke1696 Joshua3091 to the LORD3068 in the day3117 when the LORD3068 delivered5414 up the Amorites567 before6440 the children1121 of Israel,3478 and he said559 in the sight5869 of Israel,3478 Sun,8121 stand1826 you still1826 on Gibeon;1391 and you, Moon,3394 in the valley6010 of Ajalon.357

13 And the sun8121 stood1826 still,1826 and the moon3394 stayed,5975 until5704 the people1471 had avenged5358 themselves on their enemies.341 Is not this1931 written3789 in the book5612 of Jasher?3477 So the sun8121 stood5975 still in the middle2677 of heaven,8064 and hurried213 not to go935 down about a whole8549 day.3117

14 And there was no3808 day3117 like that before6440 it or after310 it, that the LORD3068 listened8085 to the voice6963 of a man:376 for the LORD3068 fought3898 for Israel.3478

15 And Joshua3091 returned,7725 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to the camp4264 to Gilgal.1537

16 But these428 five2568 kings4428 fled,5127 and hid2244 themselves in a cave4631 at Makkedah.4719

17 And it was told5046 Joshua,3091 saying,559 The five2568 kings4428 are found4672 hid2244 in a cave4631 at Makkedah.4719

18 And Joshua3091 said,559 Roll1556 great1419 stones68 on the mouth6310 of the cave,4631 and set6485 men582 by it for to keep8104 them:

19 And stay5975 you not, but pursue7291 after310 your enemies,341 and smite the hindmost2179 of them; suffer5414 them not to enter935 into413 their cities:5892 for the LORD3068 your God430 has delivered5414 them into your hand.3027

20 And it came1961 to pass, when Joshua3091 and the children1121 of Israel3478 had made an end3615 of slaying5221 them with a very3966 great1419 slaughter,4347 till5704 they were consumed,8552 that the rest8300 which remained8277 of them entered935 into413 fenced4013 cities.5892

21 And all3605 the people5971 returned7725 to the camp4264 to Joshua3091 at Makkedah4719 in peace:7965 none3808 moved2782 his tongue3956 against any of the children1121 of Israel.3478

22 Then said559 Joshua,3091 Open6605 the mouth6310 of the cave,4631 and bring3318 out those428 five2568 kings4428 to me out of the cave.4631

23 And they did6213 so,3651 and brought3318 forth3318 those428 five2568 kings4428 to him out of the cave,4631 the king4428 of Jerusalem,3389 the king4428 of Hebron,2275 the king4428 of Jarmuth, the king4428 of Lachish,3923 and the king4428 of Eglon.5700

24 And it came1961 to pass, when they brought3318 out those428 kings4428 to Joshua,3091 that Joshua3091 called7121 for all3605 the men376 of Israel,3478 and said559 to the captains7101 of the men of war4421 which went1980 with him, Come7126 near,7126 put7760 your feet7272 on the necks6677 of these428 kings.4428 And they came7126 near,7126 and put7760 their feet7272 on the necks6677 of them.

25 And Joshua3091 said559 to them, Fear3372 not, nor408 be dismayed,2865 be strong2388 and of good courage:553 for thus3602 shall the LORD3068 do6213 to all3605 your enemies341 against whom834 853 you fight.3898

26 And afterward310 3651 Joshua3091 smote5221 them, and slew4191 them, and hanged8518 them on5921 five2568 trees:6086 and they were hanging8518 on the trees6086 until5704 the evening.6153

27 And it came1961 to pass at the time6256 of the going935 down of the sun,8121 that Joshua3091 commanded,6680 and they took3381 them down3381 off5921 the trees,6086 and cast7993 them into413 the cave4631 wherein834 8033 they had been hid,2244 and laid7760 great1419 stones68 in the cave's4631 mouth,6310 which remain until5704 this2088 very6106 day.3117

28 And that day3117 Joshua3091 took3920 Makkedah,4719 and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and the king4428 thereof he utterly destroyed,2763 them, and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein; he let none3808 remain:8300 and he did6213 to the king4428 of Makkedah4719 as he did6213 to the king4428 of Jericho.3405

29 Then Joshua3091 passed5674 from Makkedah,4719 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to Libnah,3841 and fought3898 against5973 Libnah:3841

30 And the LORD3068 delivered5414 it also,1571 and the king4428 thereof, into the hand3027 of Israel;3478 and he smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein; he let none3808 remain8300 in it; but did6213 to the king4428 thereof as he did6213 to the king4428 of Jericho.3405

31 And Joshua3091 passed5674 from Libnah,3841 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to Lachish,3923 and encamped2583 against5921 it, and fought3898 against it:

32 And the LORD3068 delivered5414 Lachish3923 into the hand3027 of Israel,3478 which took3920 it on the second8145 day,3117 and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein, according to all3605 that he had done6213 to Libnah.3841

33 Then227 Horam2036 king4428 of Gezer1507 came5927 up to help5826 Lachish;3923 and Joshua3091 smote5221 him and his people,5971 until5704 he had left7604 him none1115 remaining.8300

34 And from Lachish3923 Joshua3091 passed5674 to Eglon,5700 and all3605 Israel3478 with him; and they encamped2583 against5921 it, and fought3898 against it:

35 And they took3920 it on that day,3117 and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein he utterly destroyed2763 that day,3117 according to all3605 that he had done6213 to Lachish.3923

36 And Joshua3091 went5927 up from Eglon,5700 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to Hebron;2275 and they fought3898 against5921 it:

37 And they took3920 it, and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and the king4428 thereof, and all3605 the cities5892 thereof, and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein; he left7604 none3808 remaining,8300 according to all3605 that he had done6213 to Eglon;5700 but destroyed2763 it utterly, and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein.

38 And Joshua3091 returned,7725 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to Debir;1688 and fought3898 against5921 it:

39 And he took3920 it, and the king4428 thereof, and all3605 the cities5892 thereof; and they smote5221 them with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and utterly destroyed2763 all3605 the souls5315 that were therein; he left7604 none3808 remaining:8300 as he had done6213 to Hebron,2275 so3651 he did6213 to Debir,1688 and to the king4428 thereof; as he had done6213 also to Libnah,3841 and to her king.4428

40 So Joshua3091 smote5221 all3605 the country776 of the hills,2022 and of the south,5045 and of the vale,8219 and of the springs,794 and all3605 their kings:4428 he left7604 none3808 remaining,8300 but utterly destroyed2763 all3605 that breathed,5397 as the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 commanded.6680

41 And Joshua3091 smote5221 them from Kadeshbarnea6947 even to Gaza,5804 and all3605 the country776 of Goshen,1657 even to Gibeon.1391

42 And all3605 these428 kings4428 and their land776 did Joshua3091 take3920 at one259 time,6471 because3588 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 fought3898 for Israel.3478

43 And Joshua3091 returned,7725 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to the camp4264 to Gilgal.1537

2 то дуже налякалися, бо Ґів'он місто велике, як одне з міст царськи́х, і що він більший за Ай, а всі люди його лицарі.

3 І послав єрусалимський цар Адоні-Цедек до хевронського царя Гогама, і до ярмутського царя Пір'ама, і до лахіського царя Яфії, і до еґлонського царя Девіра, говорячи:

4 „Прийдіть до мене, і допоможіть мені, і ми поб'ємо Ґів'она, бо він замири́в з Ісусом та з Ізраїлевими синами“.

5 І вони зібралися, і пішли п'ять аморейських царів: цар єрусалимський, цар хевронський, цар ярмутський, цар лахіський, цар еґлонський, вони та всі табо́ри їхні, і розтаборува́лися при Ґів'оні, і воювали проти них.

8 І сказав Господь до Ісуса: „Не бійся їх, бо Я віддав їх у твою руку, — ніхто з них не встоїть перед тобою“.

9 І прибув до них Ісус знена́цька, — ці́лу ніч ішов із Ґілґалу.

10 І Господь навів на них замі́шання перед Ізраїлем, і побив їх великою пора́зкою в Ґів'оні. І він гнав їх дорогою входу до Бет-Хорону, і бив їх аж до Азеки та аж до Маккеди.

11 І сталося, коли вони втікали перед Ізраїлем і були на сході від Бет-Хорону, то Господь кидав на них із неба велике каміння аж до Азеки, і вони вмирали. Тих, що повмирали від градово́го каміння, було більше від тих, що Ізраїлеві сини повбивали мече́м.

12 Тоді Ісус говорив Господе́ві того дня, коли Господь дав аморе́янина перед Ізраїлевих синів, та й сказав на оча́х Ізраїля: „Стань, сонце, в Ґів'оні, а ти, місяцю, ув айялонській долині!

13 І сонце затри́малося, а місяць спинився, аж поки народ відімстився своїм ворогам“. Чи це не написане в книзі Праведного? І сонце стало на половині неба, і не поспішалося заходити майже ці́лий день.

14 І не було такого, як день той, ані перед ним, ані по ньому, щоб Господь так слухав лю́дського голосу, — бо Господь воював для Ізраїля.

15 І вернувся Ісус, а з ним увесь Ізраїль до табо́ру в Ґілґал.

16 А ті п'ять царів повтікали, та й схова́лися в печері в Маккеді.

17 І було доне́сено Ісусові й сказано: „Зна́йдені ті п'ять царів, схо́вані в печері в Маккеді“.

18 А Ісус відказав: „Приваліть велике каміння на о́твір печери, і призначте до неї людей, щоб їх стерегти.

19 А ви не стійте, — женіться за своїми ворогами, і понищте їхні за́дні сте́жі, і не давайте їм вхо́дити до їхніх міст, бо Господь, Бог ваш, віддав їх у вашу руку“.

20 І сталося, як завдав їм Ісус та Ізраїлеві сини дуже велику пора́зку, так, що прийшов їм кінець, а врято́вані повтікали від них, і повхо́дили до тверди́нних міст,

21 то ввесь народ у споко́ї вернувся до табо́ру до Ісуса в Маккеді, і ніхто не поворушив язика свого проти кого з Ізраїлевих синів!

22 І сказав Ісус: „Відчиніть о́твір печери, і приведіть до мене з печери тих п'ятьо́х царів“.

23 І вони зробили так, і вивели до нього з печери тих п'ятьох царів: царя єрусалимського, царя хевронського, царя ярмутського, царя лахіського, царя еґлонського.

24 І сталося, як привели́ тих царів до Ісуса, то Ісус закли́кав усіх Ізраїлевих людей, і сказав військо́вим начальникам, що йшли з ним: „Підійдіть, — поста́вте свої ноги на шиї цих царів“. І вони попідхо́дили, і поста́вили свої ноги на їхні шиї.

25 І сказав до них Ісус: „Не бійтеся й не лякайтеся, будьте сильні та відважні, бо Господь зробить так усім вашим ворогам, із якими ви воюєте“.

26 А по цьому Ісус бив їх, і повбивав їх, і повісив їх на п'ятьох дере́вах. І висіли вони на тих дере́вах аж до вечора.

27 І сталося на час за́ходу сонця, Ісус наказав, і поздіймали їх із дере́в, і повкида́ли їх до печери, де вони були поховалися, і понакладали велике каміння на о́твір печери, де воно аж до цього дня.

28 А Маккеду Ісус здобув того дня, і побив ві́стрям меча її та царя її, учинив закляттям їх та кожну особу, хто був у ній, — не позоставив жодного врятованого в ній. І зробив він її цареві те саме, що зробив був цареві єрихонському.

29 А Ісус та ввесь Ізра́їль із ним перейшов з Маккеди до Лівни, та й воював проти Лівни.

30 І дав Господь в Ізра́їлеву ру́ку також її та царя її, і він побив ві́стрям меча її та кожну особу, що в ній, — не позоставив жодного врятованого в ній. І зробив він цареві її, як зробив був цареві єрихонському.

31 І перейшов Ісус та ввесь Ізраїль із ним із Лівни до Лахішу, і таборува́в при ньому та воював проти ньо́го.

12 Тоді Ісус говорив Господе́ві того дня, коли Господь дав аморе́янина перед Ізраїлевих синів, та й сказав на оча́х Ізраїля: „Стань, сонце, в Ґів'оні, а ти, місяцю, ув айялонській долині!

13 And the sun8121 stood1826 still,1826 and the moon3394 stayed,5975 until5704 the people1471 had avenged5358 themselves on their enemies.341 Is not this1931 written3789 in the book5612 of Jasher?3477 So the sun8121 stood5975 still in the middle2677 of heaven,8064 and hurried213 not to go935 down about a whole8549 day.3117

13 І сонце затри́малося, а місяць спинився, аж поки народ відімстився своїм ворогам“. Чи це не написане в книзі Праведного? І сонце стало на половині неба, і не поспішалося заходити майже ці́лий день.

14 And there was no3808 day3117 like that before6440 it or after310 it, that the LORD3068 listened8085 to the voice6963 of a man:376 for the LORD3068 fought3898 for Israel.3478

14 І не було такого, як день той, ані перед ним, ані по ньому, щоб Господь так слухав лю́дського голосу, — бо Господь воював для Ізраїля.

15 And Joshua3091 returned,7725 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to the camp4264 to Gilgal.1537

15 І вернувся Ісус, а з ним увесь Ізраїль до табо́ру в Ґілґал.

16 But these428 five2568 kings4428 fled,5127 and hid2244 themselves in a cave4631 at Makkedah.4719

16 А ті п'ять царів повтікали, та й схова́лися в печері в Маккеді.

17 And it was told5046 Joshua,3091 saying,559 The five2568 kings4428 are found4672 hid2244 in a cave4631 at Makkedah.4719

17 І було доне́сено Ісусові й сказано: „Зна́йдені ті п'ять царів, схо́вані в печері в Маккеді“.

18 And Joshua3091 said,559 Roll1556 great1419 stones68 on the mouth6310 of the cave,4631 and set6485 men582 by it for to keep8104 them:

18 А Ісус відказав: „Приваліть велике каміння на о́твір печери, і призначте до неї людей, щоб їх стерегти.

19 And stay5975 you not, but pursue7291 after310 your enemies,341 and smite the hindmost2179 of them; suffer5414 them not to enter935 into413 their cities:5892 for the LORD3068 your God430 has delivered5414 them into your hand.3027

19 А ви не стійте, — женіться за своїми ворогами, і понищте їхні за́дні сте́жі, і не давайте їм вхо́дити до їхніх міст, бо Господь, Бог ваш, віддав їх у вашу руку“.

20 And it came1961 to pass, when Joshua3091 and the children1121 of Israel3478 had made an end3615 of slaying5221 them with a very3966 great1419 slaughter,4347 till5704 they were consumed,8552 that the rest8300 which remained8277 of them entered935 into413 fenced4013 cities.5892

20 І сталося, як завдав їм Ісус та Ізраїлеві сини дуже велику пора́зку, так, що прийшов їм кінець, а врято́вані повтікали від них, і повхо́дили до тверди́нних міст,

21 And all3605 the people5971 returned7725 to the camp4264 to Joshua3091 at Makkedah4719 in peace:7965 none3808 moved2782 his tongue3956 against any of the children1121 of Israel.3478

21 то ввесь народ у споко́ї вернувся до табо́ру до Ісуса в Маккеді, і ніхто не поворушив язика свого проти кого з Ізраїлевих синів!

22 Then said559 Joshua,3091 Open6605 the mouth6310 of the cave,4631 and bring3318 out those428 five2568 kings4428 to me out of the cave.4631

22 І сказав Ісус: „Відчиніть о́твір печери, і приведіть до мене з печери тих п'ятьо́х царів“.

23 And they did6213 so,3651 and brought3318 forth3318 those428 five2568 kings4428 to him out of the cave,4631 the king4428 of Jerusalem,3389 the king4428 of Hebron,2275 the king4428 of Jarmuth, the king4428 of Lachish,3923 and the king4428 of Eglon.5700

23 І вони зробили так, і вивели до нього з печери тих п'ятьох царів: царя єрусалимського, царя хевронського, царя ярмутського, царя лахіського, царя еґлонського.

24 And it came1961 to pass, when they brought3318 out those428 kings4428 to Joshua,3091 that Joshua3091 called7121 for all3605 the men376 of Israel,3478 and said559 to the captains7101 of the men of war4421 which went1980 with him, Come7126 near,7126 put7760 your feet7272 on the necks6677 of these428 kings.4428 And they came7126 near,7126 and put7760 their feet7272 on the necks6677 of them.

24 І сталося, як привели́ тих царів до Ісуса, то Ісус закли́кав усіх Ізраїлевих людей, і сказав військо́вим начальникам, що йшли з ним: „Підійдіть, — поста́вте свої ноги на шиї цих царів“. І вони попідхо́дили, і поста́вили свої ноги на їхні шиї.

25 And Joshua3091 said559 to them, Fear3372 not, nor408 be dismayed,2865 be strong2388 and of good courage:553 for thus3602 shall the LORD3068 do6213 to all3605 your enemies341 against whom834 853 you fight.3898

25 І сказав до них Ісус: „Не бійтеся й не лякайтеся, будьте сильні та відважні, бо Господь зробить так усім вашим ворогам, із якими ви воюєте“.

26 And afterward310 3651 Joshua3091 smote5221 them, and slew4191 them, and hanged8518 them on5921 five2568 trees:6086 and they were hanging8518 on the trees6086 until5704 the evening.6153

26 А по цьому Ісус бив їх, і повбивав їх, і повісив їх на п'ятьох дере́вах. І висіли вони на тих дере́вах аж до вечора.

27 And it came1961 to pass at the time6256 of the going935 down of the sun,8121 that Joshua3091 commanded,6680 and they took3381 them down3381 off5921 the trees,6086 and cast7993 them into413 the cave4631 wherein834 8033 they had been hid,2244 and laid7760 great1419 stones68 in the cave's4631 mouth,6310 which remain until5704 this2088 very6106 day.3117

27 І сталося на час за́ходу сонця, Ісус наказав, і поздіймали їх із дере́в, і повкида́ли їх до печери, де вони були поховалися, і понакладали велике каміння на о́твір печери, де воно аж до цього дня.

28 And that day3117 Joshua3091 took3920 Makkedah,4719 and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and the king4428 thereof he utterly destroyed,2763 them, and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein; he let none3808 remain:8300 and he did6213 to the king4428 of Makkedah4719 as he did6213 to the king4428 of Jericho.3405

28 А Маккеду Ісус здобув того дня, і побив ві́стрям меча її та царя її, учинив закляттям їх та кожну особу, хто був у ній, — не позоставив жодного врятованого в ній. І зробив він її цареві те саме, що зробив був цареві єрихонському.

29 Then Joshua3091 passed5674 from Makkedah,4719 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to Libnah,3841 and fought3898 against5973 Libnah:3841

29 А Ісус та ввесь Ізра́їль із ним перейшов з Маккеди до Лівни, та й воював проти Лівни.

30 And the LORD3068 delivered5414 it also,1571 and the king4428 thereof, into the hand3027 of Israel;3478 and he smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein; he let none3808 remain8300 in it; but did6213 to the king4428 thereof as he did6213 to the king4428 of Jericho.3405

30 І дав Господь в Ізра́їлеву ру́ку також її та царя її, і він побив ві́стрям меча її та кожну особу, що в ній, — не позоставив жодного врятованого в ній. І зробив він цареві її, як зробив був цареві єрихонському.

31 And Joshua3091 passed5674 from Libnah,3841 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to Lachish,3923 and encamped2583 against5921 it, and fought3898 against it:

31 І перейшов Ісус та ввесь Ізраїль із ним із Лівни до Лахішу, і таборува́в при ньому та воював проти ньо́го.

32 And the LORD3068 delivered5414 Lachish3923 into the hand3027 of Israel,3478 which took3920 it on the second8145 day,3117 and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein, according to all3605 that he had done6213 to Libnah.3841

32 І дав Господь в Ізраїлеву руку Лахіш, — і здобув він його другого дня, і побив ві́стрям меча його та кожну особу, що в ньому, — усе так, як зробив був Лівні.

33 Then227 Horam2036 king4428 of Gezer1507 came5927 up to help5826 Lachish;3923 and Joshua3091 smote5221 him and his people,5971 until5704 he had left7604 him none1115 remaining.8300

33 Тоді прийшов ґезерський цар Горам допомогти Лахішу, та Ісус побив його й народ його, так що не позоставив жодного в ньому.

34 And from Lachish3923 Joshua3091 passed5674 to Eglon,5700 and all3605 Israel3478 with him; and they encamped2583 against5921 it, and fought3898 against it:

34 І перейшов Ісус та ввесь Ізра́їль із ним з Лахішу до Еґлону, і таборува́ли при ньому та воювали з ним.

35 And they took3920 it on that day,3117 and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein he utterly destroyed2763 that day,3117 according to all3605 that he had done6213 to Lachish.3923

35 І здобули́ його того дня, і побили його ві́стрям меча, а кожну особу, що в ньому, того дня зробили закляттям, — усе так, як зробив був Лахішу.

36 And Joshua3091 went5927 up from Eglon,5700 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to Hebron;2275 and they fought3898 against5921 it:

36 І пішов Ісус та ввесь Ізраїль із ним з Еґлону до Хеврону, і воював із ним.

37 And they took3920 it, and smote5221 it with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and the king4428 thereof, and all3605 the cities5892 thereof, and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein; he left7604 none3808 remaining,8300 according to all3605 that he had done6213 to Eglon;5700 but destroyed2763 it utterly, and all3605 the souls5315 that were therein.

37 І здобув його, і побив ві́стрям меча його та царя його, і всі міста його, і кожну особу, що в ньому, — не позоставив жодного врято́ваного, усе так, як зробив був Еґлонові. І зробив закляттям його та кожну особу, що в ньому була́.

38 And Joshua3091 returned,7725 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to Debir;1688 and fought3898 against5921 it:

38 І вернувся Ісус та ввесь Ізраїль із ним до Девіру, і воював із ним.

39 And he took3920 it, and the king4428 thereof, and all3605 the cities5892 thereof; and they smote5221 them with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and utterly destroyed2763 all3605 the souls5315 that were therein; he left7604 none3808 remaining:8300 as he had done6213 to Hebron,2275 so3651 he did6213 to Debir,1688 and to the king4428 thereof; as he had done6213 also to Libnah,3841 and to her king.4428

39 І він здобув його, і царя його, і всі міста його, і повбивали їх ві́стрям меча, та й зробив закляттям кожну душу, що в ньому, не позоставив жодного врято́ваного, — як зробив був Хевронові, так зробив Девірові та цареві його, і як зробив був Лівні та цареві її.

40 So Joshua3091 smote5221 all3605 the country776 of the hills,2022 and of the south,5045 and of the vale,8219 and of the springs,794 and all3605 their kings:4428 he left7604 none3808 remaining,8300 but utterly destroyed2763 all3605 that breathed,5397 as the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 commanded.6680

40 І побив Ісус увесь край: гору, і Неґев і Шефелу, і узбі́ччя, і всіх їхніх царів, — не зоставив жодного врятованого, а кожну особу зробив закляттям, як наказав був Господь, Бог Ізраїлів.

41 And Joshua3091 smote5221 them from Kadeshbarnea6947 even to Gaza,5804 and all3605 the country776 of Goshen,1657 even to Gibeon.1391

41 І бив їх Ісус від Кадеш-Барнеа та аж до Аззи, і ввесь ґошенський край, і аж до Ґів'ону.

42 And all3605 these428 kings4428 and their land776 did Joshua3091 take3920 at one259 time,6471 because3588 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel3478 fought3898 for Israel.3478

42 А всіх тих царів та їхній край Ісус здобув одним ра́зом, бо Господь, Бог Ізраїлів, воював для Ізраїля.

43 And Joshua3091 returned,7725 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, to the camp4264 to Gilgal.1537

43 І вернувся Ісус та ввесь Ізраїль із ним до табо́ру в Ґілґал.
