Chapter 2

1 And an angel4397 of the LORD3068 came5927 up from Gilgal1537 to Bochim,1066 and said,559 I made you to go5927 up out of Egypt,4714 and have brought935 you to the land776 which834 I swore7650 to your fathers;1 and I said,559 I will never3808 5769 break6565 my covenant1285 with you.

2 And you shall make3772 no3808 league1285 with the inhabitants3427 of this2063 land;776 you shall throw5422 down5422 their altars:4196 but you have not obeyed8085 my voice:6963 why4100 have you done6213 this?2063

3 Why I also1571 said,559 I will not drive1644 them out from before6440 you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides,6654 and their gods430 shall be a snare4170 to you.

4 And it came1961 to pass, when the angel4397 of the LORD3068 spoke1696 these428 words1697 to all3605 the children1121 of Israel,3478 that the people5971 lifted5375 up their voice,6963 and wept.1058

5 And they called7121 the name8034 of that place4725 Bochim:1066 and they sacrificed2076 there8033 to the LORD.3068

6 And when Joshua3091 had let the people5971 go,7971 the children1121 of Israel3478 went3212 every man376 to his inheritance5159 to possess3423 the land.776

7 And the people5971 served5647 the LORD3068 all3605 the days3117 of Joshua,3091 and all3605 the days3117 of the elders2205 that outlived748 Joshua,3091 who834 had seen7200 all3605 the great1419 works4639 of the LORD,3068 that he did6213 for Israel.3478

8 And Joshua 3091the son1121 of Nun,5126 the servant5650 of the LORD,3068 died,4191 being an hundred3967 and ten6235 years8141 old.1121

9 And they buried6912 him in the border1366 of his inheritance5159 in Timnathheres,8556 in the mount2022 of Ephraim,669 on the north6828 side of the hill2022 Gaash.1608

10 And also1571 all3605 that generation1755 were gathered622 to their fathers:1 and there arose6965 another312 generation1755 after310 them, which834 knew3045 not the LORD,3068 nor1571 yet1571 the works4639 which834 he had done6213 for Israel.3478

11 And the children1121 of Israel3478 did6213 evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD,3068 and served5647 Baalim:1168

12 And they forsook5800 the LORD3068 God430 of their fathers,1 which brought3318 them out of the land776 of Egypt,4714 and followed3212 310 other312 gods,430 of the gods430 of the people5971 that were round5439 about them, and bowed7812 themselves to them, and provoked the LORD3068 to anger.3707

13 And they forsook5800 the LORD,3068 and served5647 Baal1168 and Ashtaroth.6252

14 And the anger639 of the LORD3068 was hot2734 against Israel,3478 and he delivered5414 them into the hands3027 of spoilers8154 that spoiled8155 them, and he sold4376 them into the hands3027 of their enemies341 round5439 about, so that they could3201 not any longer5750 stand5975 before6440 their enemies.341

15 Wherever3605 834 they went3318 out, the hand3027 of the LORD3068 was against them for evil,7451 as the LORD3068 had said,1696 and as the LORD3068 had sworn7650 to them: and they were greatly3966 distressed.3334

16 Nevertheless the LORD3068 raised6965 up judges,8199 which delivered3467 them out of the hand3027 of those that spoiled8154 them.

17 And yet1571 they would not listen8085 to their judges,8199 but they went a whoring2181 after310 other312 gods,430 and bowed7812 themselves to them: they turned5493 quickly4118 out of the way1870 which834 their fathers1 walked1980 in, obeying8085 the commandments4687 of the LORD;3068 but they did6213 not so.3651

18 And when3588 the LORD3068 raised6965 them up judges,8199 then the LORD3068 was with the judge,8199 and delivered3467 them out of the hand3027 of their enemies341 all3605 the days3117 of the judge:8199 for it repented5162 the LORD3068 because6440 of their groanings5009 by reason of them that oppressed3905 them and vexed1766 them.

19 And it came1961 to pass, when the judge8199 was dead,4191 that they returned,7725 and corrupted7843 themselves more than their fathers,1 in following3212 310 other312 gods430 to serve5647 them, and to bow7812 down7812 to them; they ceased5307 not from their own doings,4611 nor from their stubborn7186 way.1870

20 And the anger639 of the LORD3068 was hot2734 against Israel;3478 and he said,559 Because3282 that this2088 people1471 has transgressed5674 my covenant1285 which834 I commanded6680 their fathers,1 and have not listened8085 to my voice;6963

21 I also1571 will not from now on3254 drive3423 out any from before6440 them of the nations1471 which834 Joshua3091 left5800 when he died:4191

22 That through them I may prove5254 Israel,3478 whether they will keep8104 the way1870 of the LORD3068 to walk3212 therein, as their fathers1 did keep8104 it, or not.

23 Therefore the LORD3068 left5117 those428 nations,1471 without1115 driving3423 them out hastily;4118 neither3808 delivered5414 he them into the hand3027 of Joshua.3091

1 Ангел Господний пришёл в город Бохим из города Галгал и передал израильтянам слова Господа: «Я вывел вас из Египта и привёл вас в землю, которую обещал вашим предкам. Я сказал, что никогда не нарушу договора с вами.

2 А взамен вы никогда не должны вступать в соглашения с людьми, живущими на этой земле, и должны уничтожить их алтари. Такова была Моя воля, но вы ослушались Меня!

3 И теперь Я говорю вам: Я не выгоню этих людей с вашей земли. Они станут для вас сетью, а их лжебоги будут для вас ловушкой».

4 Когда Ангел передал людям Израиля слова Господа, они громко зарыдали.

5 И назвали они место, где плакали, Бохим, и принесли там Господу жертву.

6 Иисус распустил народ, и каждая семья пошла на свою землю, чтобы жить там.

7 Народ Израиля служил Господу во времена, когда Иисус был жив. Они служили Ему и после смерти Иисуса, во времена старейшин, которые были свидетелями всего великого, что Господь совершил для народа Израиля.

8 Слуга Господа Иисус, сын Навина, умер в возрасте ста десяти лет.

9 Народ Израиля похоронил его в Фамнаф-Сараи, в его земле, в горной местности Ефрема, на севере от горы Гааш.

10 После смерти всего этого поколения выросло новое поколение, которое не знало Господа и всего великого, что Он сделал для народа Израиля.

11 Израильтяне стали делать зло и поклоняться лжебогу Ваалу, Господь видел всё это.

12 Народ Израиля отвернулся от Господа, Бога их предков, который вывел их из Египта. Они стали поклоняться лжебогам окружавших их народов, и это разгневало Господа.

13 Народ Израиля отказался следовать за Господом и стал поклоняться Ваалу и Астарте.

14 Господь был разгневан и позволил врагу напасть на народ Израиля и разграбить его владения. Господь позволил врагам разгромить израильтян, и народ Израиля не смог устоять перед врагами.

15 Господь не был с народом Израиля, и поэтому, где бы израильтяне ни воевали, они всегда терпели поражение. Господь предупреждал народ Израиля, что он всегда будет терпеть поражение, если будет поклоняться богам народов, живущих вокруг него. Поэтому народ Израиля очень страдал.

16 Затем Господь выбрал вождей, которых называли судьями. Эти судьи спасали израильтян от врагов, которые грабили их.

17 Но они и судей не слушали. Народ Израиля изменил Господу, следовал за другими богами и поклонялся им. В прошлом предки народа Израиля исполняли заповеди Господние, а теперь израильтяне перестали повиноваться Ему.

18 Много раз враги нападали на Израиль, и его народ молил о помощи. И каждый раз Господь жалел этих людей, и посылал судью спасти народ от врагов. Сам Господь был с этими судьями, и они всегда спасали народ Израиля.

19 Но, когда судья умирал, народ опять начинал грешить ещё больше, чем его предки, служа и поклоняясь лжебогам. Народ Израиля был очень упрямым и не хотел отказаться от своего грешного пути.

20 Господь рассердился на народ Израиля и сказал: «Этот народ нарушил соглашение, в которое Я вступил с его предками, и не слушает Меня.

21 Так не стану Я больше изгонять другие народы, давая дорогу Израилю. Когда Иисус умер, он оставил эти народы здесь, и Я позволю им остаться на этой земле.

22 Я использую их, чтобы испытать народ Израиля. Я посмотрю, смогут ли израильтяне придерживаться пути, указанного Господом, по которому следовали их предки».

23 И Господь позволил этим народам остаться на той земле. Он не изгнал их оттуда и не позволил армии Иисуса разбить их.

6 Иисус распустил народ, и каждая семья пошла на свою землю, чтобы жить там.

7 And the people5971 served5647 the LORD3068 all3605 the days3117 of Joshua,3091 and all3605 the days3117 of the elders2205 that outlived748 Joshua,3091 who834 had seen7200 all3605 the great1419 works4639 of the LORD,3068 that he did6213 for Israel.3478

7 Народ Израиля служил Господу во времена, когда Иисус был жив. Они служили Ему и после смерти Иисуса, во времена старейшин, которые были свидетелями всего великого, что Господь совершил для народа Израиля.

8 And Joshua 3091the son1121 of Nun,5126 the servant5650 of the LORD,3068 died,4191 being an hundred3967 and ten6235 years8141 old.1121

10 После смерти всего этого поколения выросло новое поколение, которое не знало Господа и всего великого, что Он сделал для народа Израиля.

11 And the children1121 of Israel3478 did6213 evil7451 in the sight5869 of the LORD,3068 and served5647 Baalim:1168

11 Израильтяне стали делать зло и поклоняться лжебогу Ваалу, Господь видел всё это.

12 And they forsook5800 the LORD3068 God430 of their fathers,1 which brought3318 them out of the land776 of Egypt,4714 and followed3212 310 other312 gods,430 of the gods430 of the people5971 that were round5439 about them, and bowed7812 themselves to them, and provoked the LORD3068 to anger.3707

12 Народ Израиля отвернулся от Господа, Бога их предков, который вывел их из Египта. Они стали поклоняться лжебогам окружавших их народов, и это разгневало Господа.

13 And they forsook5800 the LORD,3068 and served5647 Baal1168 and Ashtaroth.6252

13 Народ Израиля отказался следовать за Господом и стал поклоняться Ваалу и Астарте.

14 Господь был разгневан и позволил врагу напасть на народ Израиля и разграбить его владения. Господь позволил врагам разгромить израильтян, и народ Израиля не смог устоять перед врагами.

15 Wherever3605 834 they went3318 out, the hand3027 of the LORD3068 was against them for evil,7451 as the LORD3068 had said,1696 and as the LORD3068 had sworn7650 to them: and they were greatly3966 distressed.3334

15 Господь не был с народом Израиля, и поэтому, где бы израильтяне ни воевали, они всегда терпели поражение. Господь предупреждал народ Израиля, что он всегда будет терпеть поражение, если будет поклоняться богам народов, живущих вокруг него. Поэтому народ Израиля очень страдал.

16 Nevertheless the LORD3068 raised6965 up judges,8199 which delivered3467 them out of the hand3027 of those that spoiled8154 them.

16 Затем Господь выбрал вождей, которых называли судьями. Эти судьи спасали израильтян от врагов, которые грабили их.

17 Но они и судей не слушали. Народ Израиля изменил Господу, следовал за другими богами и поклонялся им. В прошлом предки народа Израиля исполняли заповеди Господние, а теперь израильтяне перестали повиноваться Ему.

18 Много раз враги нападали на Израиль, и его народ молил о помощи. И каждый раз Господь жалел этих людей, и посылал судью спасти народ от врагов. Сам Господь был с этими судьями, и они всегда спасали народ Израиля.

19 Но, когда судья умирал, народ опять начинал грешить ещё больше, чем его предки, служа и поклоняясь лжебогам. Народ Израиля был очень упрямым и не хотел отказаться от своего грешного пути.

20 Господь рассердился на народ Израиля и сказал: «Этот народ нарушил соглашение, в которое Я вступил с его предками, и не слушает Меня.

21 I also1571 will not from now on3254 drive3423 out any from before6440 them of the nations1471 which834 Joshua3091 left5800 when he died:4191

21 Так не стану Я больше изгонять другие народы, давая дорогу Израилю. Когда Иисус умер, он оставил эти народы здесь, и Я позволю им остаться на этой земле.

22 That through them I may prove5254 Israel,3478 whether they will keep8104 the way1870 of the LORD3068 to walk3212 therein, as their fathers1 did keep8104 it, or not.
