Chapter 25

1 If3588 there be a controversy7379 between996 men,582 and they come5066 to judgment,4941 that the judges8199 may judge8199 them; then they shall justify6663 the righteous,6662 and condemn7561 the wicked.7563

2 And it shall be, if518 the wicked7563 man be worthy1121 to be beaten,5221 that the judge8199 shall cause him to lie5307 down, and to be beaten5221 before his face, according1767 to his fault,7564 by a certain number.4557

3 Forty705 stripes5221 he may give him, and not exceed:3254 lest,6435 if he should exceed,3254 and beat5221 him above5921 these with many7227 stripes,4347 then your brother251 should seem7034 vile7034 to you.

4 You shall not muzzle2629 the ox7794 when he treads1758 out the corn.

5 If3588 brothers251 dwell3427 together,3162 and one259 of them die,4191 and have no369 child,1121 the wife802 of the dead4191 shall not marry1961 376 without2351 to a stranger:376 2114 her husband's2993 brother2993 shall go935 in to her, and take3947 her to him to wife,802 and perform the duty of an husband's2992 brother2992 to her.

6 And it shall be, that the firstborn1060 which she bears3205 shall succeed6965 in the name8034 of his brother251 which is dead,4191 that his name8034 be not put4229 out of Israel.3478

7 And if518 the man376 like2654 not to take3947 his brother's2994 wife,2994 then let his brother's2994 wife2994 go5927 up to the gate8179 to the elders,2205 and say,559 My husband's2993 brother2993 refuses3985 to raise6965 up to his brother251 a name8034 in Israel,3478 he will14 not perform the duty of my husband's2992 brother.2992

8 Then the elders2205 of his city5892 shall call7121 him, and speak1696 to him: and if he stand5975 to it, and say,559 I like2654 not to take3947 her;

9 Then shall his brother's2994 wife2994 come5066 to him in the presence5869 of the elders,2205 and loose2502 his shoe5275 from off5921 his foot,7272 and spit3417 in his face,6440 and shall answer6030 and say,559 So3602 shall it be done6213 to that man376 that will not build1129 up his brother's251 house.1004

10 And his name8034 shall be called7121 in Israel,3478 The house1004 of him that has his shoe5275 loosed.2502

11 When3588 men582 strive5327 together3162 one259 with another,251 and the wife802 of the one259 draws near7126 for to deliver5337 her husband376 out of the hand3027 of him that smites5221 him, and puts7971 forth7971 her hand,3027 and takes2388 him by the secrets:4016

12 Then you shall cut7112 off her hand,3709 your eye5869 shall not pity2347 her.

13 You shall not have1961 in your bag3599 divers weights,68 a great1419 and a small.6996

14 You shall not have1961 in your house1004 divers measures,374 a great1419 and a small.6996

15 But you shall have1961 a perfect8003 and just6664 weight,68 a perfect8003 and just6664 measure374 shall you have:1961 that your days3117 may be lengthened748 in the land127 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 gives5414 you.

16 For all3605 that do6213 such428 things, and all3605 that do6213 unrighteously,5766 are an abomination8441 to the LORD3068 your God.430

17 Remember2142 what853 834 Amalek6002 did6213 to you by the way,1870 when you were come3318 forth3318 out of Egypt;4714

18 How834 he met7136 you by the way,1870 and smote the hindmost2179 of you, even all3605 that were feeble2826 behind310 you, when you were faint5889 and weary;3023 and he feared3373 not God.430

19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD3068 your God430 has given you rest5117 from all3605 your enemies341 round5439 about, in the land776 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 gives5414 you for an inheritance5159 to possess3423 it, that you shall blot4229 out the remembrance2143 of Amalek6002 from under8478 heaven;8064 you shall not forget7911 it.

1 Если будет тяжба между людьми, то пусть приведут их в суд и рассудят их, правого пусть оправдают, а виновного осудят.

2 И если виновный достоин будет побоев: то судья пусть прикажет положить его и бить при себе, смотря по вине его, по счету.

3 Сорок ударов можно дать ему, а не более, чтобы от многих ударов брат твой не был обезображен пред очами твоими.

4 Не заграждай рта волу, когда он молотит.

5 Если братья живут вместе, и один из них умрет, не имея у себя сына: то жена умершего не должна выходить на сторону за человека чужого, но деверь ее должен войти к ней и взять ее себе в жену, и поступить по правам деверя.

6 И первенец, которого она родит, заступит имя брата его умершего, чтобы имя его не изгладилось во Израиле.

7 Если же он не захочет взять невестку свою, то невестка его пойдет к воротам к старейшинам и скажет: деверь мой отказывается восставить имя брата своего во Израиле, не хочет поступить со мною по правам деверя:

8 Тогда старейшины города его должны призвать его и уговаривать его, и если он стоит в своем и скажет: не хочу взять ее:

9 То невестка его пусть подойдет к нему в глазах старейшин, и снимет [один] сапог его с ноги его, и плюнет ему в лице его и потом скажет: так поступают с человеком, который не созидает дома брату своему [у Израиля].

10 И нарекут ему имя во Израиле: дом разутого.

11 Когда дерутся между собою мужья, и жена одного [из них] подойдет, чтобы отнять мужа своего из рук бьющего его, и протянув руку свою, схватит его за срамный уд:

12 То отсеки руку ее, да не пощадит [ее] око твое.

13 В кисе твоей не должны быть двоякие гири, большие и меньшие.

14 В доме твоем не должна быть двоякая ефа, большая и меньшая.

15 Гиря у тебя должна быть полная и правильная, и ефа у тебя должна быть полная и правильная, чтобы продолжились дни твои на земле, которую Иегова, Бог твой, дает тебе [в удел].

16 Ибо мерзок пред Иеговою, Богом твоим, всякий делающий сие, всякий делающий неправду.

17 Помни, как поступил с тобою Амалик на пути, когда вы шли из Египта;

18 Как он встретил тебя на пути, и побил сзади тебя всех ослабевших, когда ты устал и утомился, и не боялся он Бога.

19 Итак, когда Иегова, Бог твой, успокоит тебя от всех врагов твоих со всех сторон, на земле, которую Иегова, Бог твой, даст тебе в удел, чтоб наследовать ее, изгладь память Амалика из поднебесной; не забудь.

5 Если братья живут вместе, и один из них умрет, не имея у себя сына: то жена умершего не должна выходить на сторону за человека чужого, но деверь ее должен войти к ней и взять ее себе в жену, и поступить по правам деверя.

9 То невестка его пусть подойдет к нему в глазах старейшин, и снимет [один] сапог его с ноги его, и плюнет ему в лице его и потом скажет: так поступают с человеком, который не созидает дома брату своему [у Израиля].

10 And his name8034 shall be called7121 in Israel,3478 The house1004 of him that has his shoe5275 loosed.2502

10 И нарекут ему имя во Израиле: дом разутого.

14 В доме твоем не должна быть двоякая ефа, большая и меньшая.

15 But you shall have1961 a perfect8003 and just6664 weight,68 a perfect8003 and just6664 measure374 shall you have:1961 that your days3117 may be lengthened748 in the land127 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 gives5414 you.

15 Гиря у тебя должна быть полная и правильная, и ефа у тебя должна быть полная и правильная, чтобы продолжились дни твои на земле, которую Иегова, Бог твой, дает тебе [в удел].

16 For all3605 that do6213 such428 things, and all3605 that do6213 unrighteously,5766 are an abomination8441 to the LORD3068 your God.430

16 Ибо мерзок пред Иеговою, Богом твоим, всякий делающий сие, всякий делающий неправду.
