1 And the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to me, saying,559

2 Son1121 of man,120 put2330 forth2330 a riddle,2420 and speak4911 a parable4912 to the house1004 of Israel;3478

3 And say,559 Thus3541 said559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 A great1419 eagle5404 with great1419 wings,3671 long winged,750 83 full4392 of feathers,5133 which834 had divers7553 colors,7553 came935 to Lebanon,3844 and took3947 the highest6788 branch6788 of the cedar:730

4 He cropped6998 off the top7218 of his young3242 twigs,3242 and carried935 it into a land776 of traffic;3667 he set7760 it in a city5892 of merchants.7402

5 He took3947 also of the seed2233 of the land,776 and planted it in a fruitful2233 field;7704 he placed3947 it by great7227 waters,4325 and set7760 it as a willow6851 tree.

6 And it grew,6779 and became1961 a spreading5628 vine1612 of low8217 stature,6967 whose branches1808 turned6437 toward413 him, and the roots8328 thereof were under8478 him: so it became1961 a vine,1612 and brought5375 forth6213 branches,905 and shot7971 forth sprigs.6288

7 There was also another259 great1419 eagle5404 with great1419 wings3671 and many7227 feathers:5133 and, behold,2009 this2063 vine1612 did bend3719 her roots8328 toward5921 him, and shot7971 forth her branches1808 toward5921 him, that he might water8248 it by the furrows6170 of her plantation.4302

8 It was planted8362 in a good2896 soil7704 by great7227 waters,4325 that it might bring6213 forth6213 branches,6057 and that it might bear5375 fruit,6529 that it might be a goodly155 vine.1612

9 Say559 you, Thus3541 said559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 Shall it prosper?6743 shall he not pull5423 up the roots8328 thereof, and cut7082 off the fruit6529 thereof, that it wither?3001 it shall wither3001 in all3605 the leaves2964 of her spring,6780 even without3808 great1419 power2220 or many7227 people5971 to pluck5375 it up by the roots8328 thereof.

10 Yes, behold,2009 being planted,8362 shall it prosper?6743 shall it not utterly wither,3001 when the east6921 wind7307 touches5060 it? it shall wither3001 in the furrows6170 where5921 it grew.6780

11 Moreover the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to me, saying,559

12 Say559 now4994 to the rebellious4805 house,1004 Know3045 you not what4100 these428 things mean? tell559 them, Behold,2009 the king4428 of Babylon894 is come935 to Jerusalem,3389 and has taken3947 the king4428 thereof, and the princes8269 thereof, and led935 them with him to Babylon;894

13 And has taken3947 of the king's4410 seed,2233 and made3772 a covenant1285 with him, and has taken935 an oath423 of him: he has also taken3947 the mighty352 of the land:776

14 That the kingdom4467 might be base,8217 that it might not lift5375 itself up, but that by keeping8104 of his covenant1285 it might stand.5975

15 But he rebelled4775 against him in sending7971 his ambassadors4397 into Egypt,4714 that they might give5414 him horses5483 and much7227 people.5971 Shall he prosper?6743 shall he escape4422 that does6213 such428 things? or shall he break6565 the covenant,1285 and be delivered?4422

16 As I live,2416 said5002 the Lord136 GOD,3069 surely518 3808 in the place4725 where the king4428 dwells that made him king,4427 whose834 853 oath423 he despised,959 and whose853 covenant1285 he broke,6565 even with him in the middle8432 of Babylon894 he shall die.4191

17 Neither3808 shall Pharaoh6547 with his mighty1419 army2428 and great7227 company6951 make6213 for him in the war,4421 by casting8210 up mounts,5550 and building1129 forts,1785 to cut3772 off many7227 persons:5315

18 Seeing he despised959 the oath423 by breaking6565 the covenant,1285 when, see,2009 he had given5414 his hand,3027 and has done6213 all3605 these428 things, he shall not escape.4422

19 Therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 As I live,2416 surely518 3808 my oath423 that he has despised,959 and my covenant1285 that he has broken,6331 even it will I recompense5414 on his own head.7218

20 And I will spread6566 my net7568 on him, and he shall be taken8610 in my snare,4686 and I will bring935 him to Babylon,894 and will plead8199 with him there8033 for his trespass4604 that he has trespassed4604 against me.

21 And all3605 his fugitives4015 with all3605 his bands102 shall fall5307 by the sword,2719 and they that remain7604 shall be scattered6566 toward all3605 winds:7307 and you shall know3045 that I the LORD3068 have spoken1696 it.

22 Thus3541 said559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 I will also take3947 of the highest6788 branch6788 of the high7311 cedar,730 and will set5414 it; I will crop6998 off from the top7218 of his young3127 twigs3127 a tender7390 one, and will plant8362 it on an high1364 mountain2022 and eminent:8524

23 In the mountain2022 of the height4791 of Israel3478 will I plant8362 it: and it shall bring5375 forth5375 boughs,6057 and bear6213 fruit,6529 and be a goodly117 cedar:730 and under8478 it shall dwell7931 all3605 fowl6833 of every3605 wing;3671 in the shadow6738 of the branches1808 thereof shall they dwell.7931

24 And all3605 the trees6086 of the field7704 shall know3045 that I the LORD3068 have brought8213 down8213 the high1364 tree,6086 have exalted1361 the low8217 tree,6086 have dried3001 up the green3892 tree,6086 and have made the dry3002 tree6086 to flourish:6524 I the LORD3068 have spoken1696 and have done6213 it.

1 Было мне слово ГОСПОДНЕ:

2 «Смертный, загадай загадку, расскажи притчу о народе Израилевом,

3 передай такие слова Владыки ГОСПОДА: „Большой орел, с огромными крыльями, с длинными перьями, с опереньем разноцветным и густым, прилетел на Ливан, опустился на верхушку кедра и сломал ее.

4 Сорвав верхний молодой побег, он принес его в землю ханаанскую и посадил в торговом городе.

5 Взял он и семя из этой страны и посадил его на поле плодородном, у великих вод, посадил, словно иву.

6 Взошло оно и стало лозой виноградной, пышной, но невысокой: побеги ее к орлу устремлялись, а корни уходили вглубь. Виноградная лоза выросла, ветви ее разрослись, пустила она побеги.

7 Но был еще и другой большой орел с огромными крыльями и густым опереньем. И потянулась к нему лоза, что в поле была посажена, корни и ветви свои к нему простерла, чтобы он поливал ее.

8 А ведь пересажена она была на поле плодородное, у великих вод, чтобы она пустила побеги и могла приносить плоды, стала лозой великолепной“.

9 Возвести такие слова Владыки ГОСПОДА: „Будет ли процветать она? Ведь оторвут ее от корней, плоды ее оборвут, засохнет она, засохнут и молодые побеги ее! Не потребуется ни силы великой, ни народа многочисленного, чтобы оторвать ее от корней!

10 Вот пересажена лоза, но сможет ли она процветать? Не засохнет ли при первом же порыве восточного ветра, не увянет ли она на том самом месте, где прижилась?“»

11 Было мне слово ГОСПОДНЕ:

12 «Вот что скажи этому мятежному поколению: „Разве вам непонятно, что это означает? Пришел вавилонский царь в Иерусалим, пленил царя и всю знать Иерусалима и увел их к себе в Вавилон.

13 И взял он другого человека из царского рода, заключил с ним союз, скрепив его клятвой, а всех сильных людей страны увел с собою,

14 чтобы царство это стало покорным, чтобы оно более не возносилось и, чтобы не быть уничтоженным, строго соблюдало союз.

15 Но этот человек восстал против вавилонского царя, отправил послов в Египет, попросил там в помощь конницу и большое войско. А теперь будет ли он процветать? Уцелеет ли тот, кто так поступает? Он нарушил союз — избежит ли он гибели?

16 Жив Я, — клятвенно заверяет Владыка ГОСПОДЬ, — он умрет в городе того царя, который поставил его на царство, которому он клялся, но преступил клятву, союз с которым нарушил. В Вавилоне умрет он!

17 И фараон, обладая могучим войском и несметными полчищами, не поможет ему в этой войне; когда будет насыпан вал и построена осадная башня, многие погибнут.

18 Он преступил клятву, нарушил союз, он обещал быть верным, а потом совершил всё это! Не уцелеть ему теперь!“

19 Потому так говорит Владыка ГОСПОДЬ: „Жив Я! Клятву Моим именем, которую он презрел, союз, скрепленный передо Мной, который он нарушил, Я обрушу на его голову!

20 Я накину на него Мою сеть, поймаю его в западню, приведу его в Вавилон и буду там судить его за вероломство против Меня.

21 И все лучшие воины из всего его войска падут от меча, а те, кто уцелеет, будут рассеяны на все четыре стороны, и тогда узнаете, что это Я, ГОСПОДЬ, сказал это“».

22 Так говорит Владыка ГОСПОДЬ: «Я возьму верхушку высокого кедра и пересажу ее. Нежный побег из его кроны Я оторву и посажу его на высокой, величественной горе.

23 Посажу его на высокой горе израильской — и раскинет он ветви, приносить будет плоды, станет великолепным кедром. Поселятся на нем всякие птицы крылатые, в тени ветвей его будут жить.

24 И узнают все деревья полевые, что Я — ГОСПОДЬ, что высокое дерево Я повергаю на землю и взращиваю малое, иссушаю дерево зеленеющее, а высохшее делаю цветущим. Я, ГОСПОДЬ, изрек это и исполню».

6 Взошло оно и стало лозой виноградной, пышной, но невысокой: побеги ее к орлу устремлялись, а корни уходили вглубь. Виноградная лоза выросла, ветви ее разрослись, пустила она побеги.

7 Но был еще и другой большой орел с огромными крыльями и густым опереньем. И потянулась к нему лоза, что в поле была посажена, корни и ветви свои к нему простерла, чтобы он поливал ее.

8 It was planted8362 in a good2896 soil7704 by great7227 waters,4325 that it might bring6213 forth6213 branches,6057 and that it might bear5375 fruit,6529 that it might be a goodly155 vine.1612

8 А ведь пересажена она была на поле плодородное, у великих вод, чтобы она пустила побеги и могла приносить плоды, стала лозой великолепной“.

9 Возвести такие слова Владыки ГОСПОДА: „Будет ли процветать она? Ведь оторвут ее от корней, плоды ее оборвут, засохнет она, засохнут и молодые побеги ее! Не потребуется ни силы великой, ни народа многочисленного, чтобы оторвать ее от корней!

10 Yes, behold,2009 being planted,8362 shall it prosper?6743 shall it not utterly wither,3001 when the east6921 wind7307 touches5060 it? it shall wither3001 in the furrows6170 where5921 it grew.6780

10 Вот пересажена лоза, но сможет ли она процветать? Не засохнет ли при первом же порыве восточного ветра, не увянет ли она на том самом месте, где прижилась?“»

11 Было мне слово ГОСПОДНЕ:

12 «Вот что скажи этому мятежному поколению: „Разве вам непонятно, что это означает? Пришел вавилонский царь в Иерусалим, пленил царя и всю знать Иерусалима и увел их к себе в Вавилон.

13 И взял он другого человека из царского рода, заключил с ним союз, скрепив его клятвой, а всех сильных людей страны увел с собою,

14 That the kingdom4467 might be base,8217 that it might not lift5375 itself up, but that by keeping8104 of his covenant1285 it might stand.5975

14 чтобы царство это стало покорным, чтобы оно более не возносилось и, чтобы не быть уничтоженным, строго соблюдало союз.

15 But he rebelled4775 against him in sending7971 his ambassadors4397 into Egypt,4714 that they might give5414 him horses5483 and much7227 people.5971 Shall he prosper?6743 shall he escape4422 that does6213 such428 things? or shall he break6565 the covenant,1285 and be delivered?4422

15 Но этот человек восстал против вавилонского царя, отправил послов в Египет, попросил там в помощь конницу и большое войско. А теперь будет ли он процветать? Уцелеет ли тот, кто так поступает? Он нарушил союз — избежит ли он гибели?

16 As I live,2416 said5002 the Lord136 GOD,3069 surely518 3808 in the place4725 where the king4428 dwells that made him king,4427 whose834 853 oath423 he despised,959 and whose853 covenant1285 he broke,6565 even with him in the middle8432 of Babylon894 he shall die.4191

16 Жив Я, — клятвенно заверяет Владыка ГОСПОДЬ, — он умрет в городе того царя, который поставил его на царство, которому он клялся, но преступил клятву, союз с которым нарушил. В Вавилоне умрет он!

17 Neither3808 shall Pharaoh6547 with his mighty1419 army2428 and great7227 company6951 make6213 for him in the war,4421 by casting8210 up mounts,5550 and building1129 forts,1785 to cut3772 off many7227 persons:5315

17 И фараон, обладая могучим войском и несметными полчищами, не поможет ему в этой войне; когда будет насыпан вал и построена осадная башня, многие погибнут.

18 Seeing he despised959 the oath423 by breaking6565 the covenant,1285 when, see,2009 he had given5414 his hand,3027 and has done6213 all3605 these428 things, he shall not escape.4422

18 Он преступил клятву, нарушил союз, он обещал быть верным, а потом совершил всё это! Не уцелеть ему теперь!“

19 Therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 As I live,2416 surely518 3808 my oath423 that he has despised,959 and my covenant1285 that he has broken,6331 even it will I recompense5414 on his own head.7218

19 Потому так говорит Владыка ГОСПОДЬ: „Жив Я! Клятву Моим именем, которую он презрел, союз, скрепленный передо Мной, который он нарушил, Я обрушу на его голову!

20 And I will spread6566 my net7568 on him, and he shall be taken8610 in my snare,4686 and I will bring935 him to Babylon,894 and will plead8199 with him there8033 for his trespass4604 that he has trespassed4604 against me.

20 Я накину на него Мою сеть, поймаю его в западню, приведу его в Вавилон и буду там судить его за вероломство против Меня.

21 И все лучшие воины из всего его войска падут от меча, а те, кто уцелеет, будут рассеяны на все четыре стороны, и тогда узнаете, что это Я, ГОСПОДЬ, сказал это“».

22 Thus3541 said559 the Lord136 GOD;3069 I will also take3947 of the highest6788 branch6788 of the high7311 cedar,730 and will set5414 it; I will crop6998 off from the top7218 of his young3127 twigs3127 a tender7390 one, and will plant8362 it on an high1364 mountain2022 and eminent:8524

22 Так говорит Владыка ГОСПОДЬ: «Я возьму верхушку высокого кедра и пересажу ее. Нежный побег из его кроны Я оторву и посажу его на высокой, величественной горе.

23 In the mountain2022 of the height4791 of Israel3478 will I plant8362 it: and it shall bring5375 forth5375 boughs,6057 and bear6213 fruit,6529 and be a goodly117 cedar:730 and under8478 it shall dwell7931 all3605 fowl6833 of every3605 wing;3671 in the shadow6738 of the branches1808 thereof shall they dwell.7931

23 Посажу его на высокой горе израильской — и раскинет он ветви, приносить будет плоды, станет великолепным кедром. Поселятся на нем всякие птицы крылатые, в тени ветвей его будут жить.

24 And all3605 the trees6086 of the field7704 shall know3045 that I the LORD3068 have brought8213 down8213 the high1364 tree,6086 have exalted1361 the low8217 tree,6086 have dried3001 up the green3892 tree,6086 and have made the dry3002 tree6086 to flourish:6524 I the LORD3068 have spoken1696 and have done6213 it.

24 И узнают все деревья полевые, что Я — ГОСПОДЬ, что высокое дерево Я повергаю на землю и взращиваю малое, иссушаю дерево зеленеющее, а высохшее делаю цветущим. Я, ГОСПОДЬ, изрек это и исполню».
