Ezekiel

Chapter 42

1 Then he brought3318 me forth3318 into413 the utter2435 court,2691 the way1870 toward1870 the north:6828 and he brought935 me into413 the chamber3957 that was over5048 against5048 the separate1508 place, and which834 was before5048 the building1146 toward413 the north.6828

2 Before413 6440 the length753 of an hundred3967 cubits520 was the north6828 door,6607 and the breadth7341 was fifty2572 cubits.520

3 Over5048 against5048 the twenty6242 cubits which834 were for the inner6442 court,2691 and over5048 against5048 the pavement7531 which834 was for the utter2435 court,2691 was gallery862 against413 6440 gallery862 in three7992 stories.

4 And before6440 the chambers3957 was a walk4109 to ten6235 cubits520 breadth7341 inward,6442 a way1870 of one259 cubit;520 and their doors6607 toward the north.6828

5 Now the upper5945 chambers3957 were shorter:7114 for the galleries862 were higher5945 than these,2007 than the lower,8481 and than the middlemost8484 of the building.1146

6 For they were in three8027 stories, but had not pillars5982 as the pillars5982 of the courts:2691 therefore5921 3651 the building was straitened680 more than the lowest8481 and the middlemost8484 from the ground.776

7 And the wall1447 that was without2351 over5980 against5980 the chambers,3957 toward1870 the utter2435 court2691 on the forepart6440 of the chambers,3957 the length753 thereof was fifty2572 cubits.520

8 For the length753 of the chambers3957 that were in the utter2435 court2691 was fifty2572 cubits:520 and, see,2009 before5921 6440 the temple1964 were an hundred3967 cubits.520

9 And from under8478 these428 chambers3957 was the entry3996 on the east6921 side,6921 as one goes935 into them from the utter2435 court.2691

10 The chambers3957 were in the thickness7341 of the wall1444 of the court2691 toward1870 the east,6921 over413 6440 against6440 the separate1508 place, and over against6440 the building.1146

11 And the way1870 before6440 them was like the appearance4758 of the chambers3957 which834 were toward1870 the north,6828 as long753 as they, and as broad7342 as they: and all3605 their goings4161 out were both according to their fashions,4941 and according to their doors.6607

12 And according to the doors6607 of the chambers3957 that were toward1870 the south1864 was a door6607 in the head7218 of the way,1870 even the way1870 directly1903 before6440 the wall1448 toward1870 the east,6921 as one enters935 into them.

13 Then said559 he to me, The north6828 chambers3957 and the south1864 chambers,3957 which834 are before413 6440 the separate1508 place, they be holy6944 chambers,3957 where834 8033 the priests3548 that approach7138 to the LORD3068 shall eat398 the most6944 holy6944 things: there8033 shall they lay3240 the most6944 holy6944 things, and the meat offering,4503 and the sin2403 offering, and the trespass817 offering; for the place4725 is holy.6918

14 When the priests3548 enter935 therein, then shall they not go3318 out of the holy6944 place into413 the utter2435 court,2691 but there8033 they shall lay3240 their garments899 wherein834 they minister;8334 for they are holy; and shall put3847 on other312 garments,899 and shall approach7126 to those things which834 are for the people.5971

15 Now when he had made an end3615 of measuring4060 the inner6442 house,1004 he brought3318 me forth3318 toward1870 the gate8179 whose834 prospect6440 is toward1870 the east,6921 and measured4058 it round5439 about.

16 He measured4058 the east6921 side7307 with the measuring4060 reed,7070 five2568 hundred520 reeds,7070 with the measuring4060 reed7070 round5439 about.

17 He measured4058 the north6828 side,7307 five2568 hundred3967 reeds,7070 with the measuring4060 reed7070 round5439 about.

18 He measured4058 the south1864 side,7307 five2568 hundred3967 reeds,7070 with the measuring4060 reed.7070

19 He turned5437 about to the west3220 side,7307 and measured4058 five2568 hundred3967 reeds7070 with the measuring4060 reed.7070

20 He measured4058 it by the four702 sides:7307 it had a wall2346 round5439 about, five2568 hundred3967 reeds long,753 and five2568 hundred3967 broad,7341 to make a separation914 between996 the sanctuary6944 and the profane2455 place.

Chapter 42

1 THEN he brought me forth into the outer court, to the way toward the north; and he brought me into the room opposite the separate place and opposite the building toward the north.

2 Towards the place where he measured a hundred cubits, which is at the north gate, and the breadth of it was fifty cubits.

3 Opposite the gate of the inner court, over against the pavement of the outer court, was gallery above gallery in three stories.

4 And before the rooms was a passage ten cubits broad, and its length a hundred cubits; and the door of the passage was toward the north.

5 Now the upper rooms were smaller because the stairway went through them.

6 For they were in three stories, but had no pillars like the pillars of the court; therefore the upper rooms were smaller than the lower rooms and the middle ones.

7 And the wall that was outside, which is opposite the rooms, was fifty cubits long.

8 For the length of the rooms that were in the outer court was fifty cubits; and those before the temple were a hundred cubits.

9 And the door of the room of the vestibule which goes into the outer court was on the east.

10 The rooms were in the breadth of the wall of the court at the eastern gate opposite the separate place, and in front of the building where the rooms were.

11 And the passage in front of them was like the appearance of the rooms which were toward the north, and the rooms were of the same length and breadth; and all their exits, entrances, their appearance, and their doors were alike.

12 Like to the doors of the rooms that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way which was directly before the wall toward the place where the eastern valley starts.

13 Then he said to me, The north rooms and the south rooms, which are in front of the separate place, they are rooms where the priests who make offerings to the LORD eat the most holy things; there they lay the most holy things, the meat offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering: for the place is holy.

14 When the priests enter therein, they shall not go out of the holy place into the outer court, but there they shall lay their garments in which they minister; for they are holy; and they shall put on other garments; then they can make offerings on behalf of the people.

15 Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he took me out toward the gate that looks toward the east, and he measured it round about.

16 He measured the east side, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed round about.

17 He measured the north side, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed round about.

18 He measured the south side, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

19 He measured the west side, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

20 He measured it on the four sides; and the wall round about, five hundred reeds long and five hundred broad, making a separation between the sanctuary and the unconsecrated ground.

9 And the door of the room of the vestibule which goes into the outer court was on the east.

12 Like to the doors of the rooms that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way which was directly before the wall toward the place where the eastern valley starts.
