2 Warum ist denn dein Gewand3830 so rotfarb und dein Kleid899 wie eines Keltertreters1660?

3 Ich trete1869 die Kelter6333 allein, und ist niemand376 unter den Völkern mit mir. Ich habe sie gekeltert in meinem5971 Zorn639 und zertreten7429 in meinem Grimm2534. Daher ist ihr Vermögen auf meine Kleider899 gespritzt5137, und ich habe all mein Gewand4403 besudelt1351.

4 Denn ich habe einen Tag3117 der Rache5359 mir vorgenommen; das Jahr8141, die3820 Meinen zu erlösen1350, ist935 kommen.

5 Denn ich sah5027 mich8074 um, und da war kein Helfer3467, und ich war im Schrecken, und niemand enthielt mich, sondern mein Arm2220 mußte mir helfen5826, und mein Zorn2534 enthielt mich.

8 Denn er sprach559: Sie sind8266 ja mein Volk5971, Kinder1121, die nicht falsch sind. Darum war er ihr Heiland3467.

9 Wer sie ängstete6869, der ängstete ihn auch6862; und der Engel4397, so vor ihm ist, half3467 ihnen. Er1350 erlösete sie, darum daß er sie liebete und ihrer schonete. Er nahm sie auf6440 und trug5375 sie allezeit3117 von alters her5769.

10 Aber sie erbitterten4784 und entrüsteten6087 seinen Heiligen6944 Geist7307; darum ward2015 er ihr Feind341 und stritt3898 wider sie.

15 So schaue nun vom Himmel8064 und siehe5027 herab von deiner heiligen6944 herrlichen8597 Wohnung2073. Wo ist nun dein Eifer7068, deine Macht1369? Deine große1995 herzliche4578 Barmherzigkeit7356 hält sich7200 hart gegen mich662.

16 Bist du5234 doch unser Vater1. Denn3588 Abraham85 weiß3045 von uns nicht, und Israel3478 kennet uns nicht. Du aber, HErr3068, bist unser Vater1 und unser Erlöser1350; von alters her5769 ist das dein Name8034.

17 Warum lässest du uns3820, HErr3068, irren8582 von deinen Wegen1870 und unser Herz verstocken7188, daß wir dich nicht fürchten3374? Kehre wieder7725 um deiner Knechte5650 willen, um der Stämme7626 willen deines Erbes5159!

18 Sie besitzen3423 dein heiliges Volk5971 schier gar; deine Widersacher6862 zertreten947 dein Heiligtum6944.

19 Wir sind gleich wie vorhin, da du nicht über uns herrschetest, und wir nicht nach deinem Namen8034 genannt7121 waren.

Chapter 63

1 Who is this that comes from Edom with crimson garments from Bozrah? And who is glorious in his apparel and mighty in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

2 Why is your apparel red and why are your garments like those of him who treads in the winepress?

3 I have trodden the winepress alone, and of the people there was none with me; I have trodden them in my anger and trampled them in my fury; and their blood is splashed upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment.

4 For the day of vengeance is in my heart, and the year of my salvation is come.

5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered, and there was none to uphold; therefore my own arm saved me and my fury upheld me.

6 And I have trodden down the peoples in my anger, and made them drunk in my fury, and I have brought down their strength to the earth.

7 I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD and the praises of the LORD for all the things that the LORD has bestowed on us and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has bestowed on us according to his mercies and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

8 For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie; so he became their Saviour.

9 In all their troubles he did not afflict them, and the angel of his presence saved them; in his love and in his pity he saved them and he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

10 But they rebelled and grieved his holy Spirit; therefore he turned to be their enemy and he fought against them.

11 Then he remembered the days of old, of Moses his servant. Just as when he brought up out of the sea the shepherd of his flock, and as he put his holy Spirit within Moses,

12 Who led them by his right hand and by his glorious arm, dividing the waters before them and making for them an everlasting name

13 And leading them through the deep, as a horse is led in the wilderness, and they stumbled not,

14 And like cattle that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD leading them; so didst thou lead thy people and make for thyself a glorious name.

15 Look down from heaven and behold from thy holy and glorious habitation. Where is thy zeal and thy strength? Turn thy tender mercies and compassion toward us. Are they restrained?

16 For thou art our Father, though Abraham knew us not and Israel did not acknowledge us; thou, O LORD, art our Father, and our Saviour; thy name is from everlasting.

17 O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy way and hardened our heart so as not to reverence thee? Return, for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thy heritage.

18 The people of thy holiness have possessed the land but a little while; our oppressors have trodden down thy sanctuary.

19 We are thine from of old before thou didst rule over them; they were not called by thy name.
