2 Und1121 Ismael3458, der Sohn1121 Nethanjas5418, machte sich auf6965 samt den zehn6235 Männern582, die bei ihm waren, und schlugen5221 Gedalja1436, den Sohn1121 Ahikams296, des Sohns Saphans8227, mit dem Schwert2719 zu Tode4191, darum daß ihn der König4428 zu Babel894 über6485 das Land776 gesetzt hatte.

5 kamen935 achtzig8084 Männer582 von Sichem7927, von Silo7887 und376 von Samaria8111 und hatten die Bärte2206 abgeschoren1548 und ihre Kleider899 zerrissen7167 und sich1413 zerritzt und trugen Speisopfer4503 und Weihrauch3828 mit sich3027, daß sie es brächten935 ins Haus1004 des HErrn3068.

6 Und Ismael3458, der Sohn1121 Nethanjas5418, ging1980 heraus von Mizpa4709, denselbigen entgegen7125, ging1980 daher und weinete. Als er nun an sie1058 kam6298, sprach559 er zu ihnen: Ihr935 sollt zu Gedalja1436, dem Sohn1121 Ahikams296, kommen3318.

7 And it was so, when they came935 into413 the middle8432 of the city,5892 that Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 slew7819 them, and cast them into413 the middle8432 of the pit,953 he, and the men582 that were with him.

8 Aber es waren3426 zehn6235. Männer darunter, die sprachen559 zu Ismael3458: Lieber, töte4191 uns nicht; wir582 haben4672 Schätze im8432 Acker7704 liegen von Weizen2406, Gerste8184, Öl8081 und Honig1706. Also ließ er ab2308 und tötete4191 sie nicht mit den andern251.

8 But ten6235 men582 were found4672 among them that said559 to Ishmael,3458 Slay4191 us not: for we have3426 treasures4301 in the field,7704 of wheat,2406 and of barley,8184 and of oil,8081 and of honey.1706 So he declined,2308 and slew4191 them not among8432 their brothers.251

9 Now the pit953 wherein834 Ishmael3458 had cast7993 all3605 the dead6297 bodies6297 of the men,582 whom834 he had slain5221 because3027 of Gedaliah,1436 was it which834 Asa609 the king4428 had made6213 for fear6440 of Baasha1201 king4428 of Israel:3478 and Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 filled4390 it with them that were slain.2491

12 nahmen3947 sie4672 zu sich alle Männer582 und zogen hin3212 wider Ismael3458, den Sohn1121 Nethanjas5418, zu streiten3898, und trafen ihn an bei dem großen7227 Wasser4325 an Gibeon1391.

12 Then they took3947 all3605 the men,582 and went3212 to fight3898 with Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah,5418 and found4672 him by the great7227 waters4325 that are in Gibeon.1391

13 Da nun alles Volk5971, so bei Ismael3458 war, sah7200 den Johanan3110, den Sohn1121 Kareahs7143, und2428 alle die Hauptleute8269 des Heers, die bei ihm waren, wurden sie froh8055.

13 Now it came1961 to pass, that when all3605 the people5971 which834 were with Ishmael3458 saw7200 Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah,7143 and all3605 the captains8269 of the forces2428 that were with him, then they were glad.8056

14 Und7617 das ganze Volk5971, das Ismael3458 hatte von Mizpa4709 weggeführet, wandte sich3212 um5437 und kehrete wiederum7725 zu Johanan3110, dem Sohn1121 Kareahs7143.

14 So all3605 the people5971 that Ishmael3458 had carried7617 away captive7617 from Mizpah4709 cast5437 about5437 and returned,7725 and went3212 to Johanan3110 the son1121 of Kareah.7143

15 Aber Ismael3458, der Sohn1121 Nethanjas5418, entrann4422 dem Johanan3110 mit6440 acht8083 Männern582 und zog3212 zu den Kindern Ammon5983.

15 But Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 escaped4422 from Johanan3110 with eight8083 men,582 and went3212 to the Ammonites.5984

16 Und2428 Johanan3110, der1397 Sohn1121 Kareahs7143, samt allen Hauptleuten8269 des Heers, so bei ihm waren310, nahmen3947 all das übrige Volk5971, so sie582 wiedergebracht7725 hatten von Ismael3458, dem Sohn1121 Nethanjas5418, aus Mizpa4709 zu sich (weil Gedalja1436, der Sohn Ahikams296, erschlagen5221 war7611), nämlich die Kriegsmänner, Weiber802 und Kinder1121 und Kämmerer5631, so sie von Gibeon1391 hatten wiedergebracht7725,

18 Denn sie fürchteten3372 sich vor6440 ihnen, weil Ismael3458, der Sohn1121 Nethanjas5418, Gedalja1436, den Sohn1121 Ahikams296, erschlagen5221 hatte, den der König4428 zu Babel894 über6485 das Land776 gesetzt hatte.

18 Because6440 of the Chaldeans:3778 for they were afraid3372 of them, because3588 Ishmael3458 the son1121 of Nethaniah5418 had slain5221 Gedaliah1436 the son1121 of Ahikam,296 whom834 the king4428 of Babylon894 made governor6485 in the land.776
